Great detailed review. Also, the key points of the facelifted Audi Q5 have been summarized nicely. I have test driven the car and agree with your findings - the main ones relating to ride comfort, engine performance and audio quality. A few more points to highlight:
1) A very solid suspension which deals very well with our speed breakers, potholes and rumble strips
2) Good handling at speed over poorly surfaced roads and undulations, even the steering is pretty good and the overall driving experience was as good as the X3 and 3 series which I drove over the same roads
3) Interior quality, back seat comfort and B&O system superior to the X3
Areas for improvement:
1) The DRLs could have been better, the pre-facelifted model was nicer
2) The dummy box in the glove compartment has a CD changer in other markets. Why could this not have been installed instead of wasting this space in the glove compartment. Listening to higher quality CD sound would have done justice to the B&O system instead of the typical MP3 streaming audio played via mobile phones
3) Use of premium full leather would have been a nice touch. While this was common earlier with the German brands, nowadays they are busy adding unnecessary features and downgrading the leather quality with each new model iteration. The only rare exception these days is the BMW 30d which still uses Nappa leather
