This was incredible! I’ve just started in watercolor. I love flowers and single subject landscape. Portraits of humans scare the skin off of me! So….its my challenge.
wow, what a beautiful painting 🪷🩷 your videos are so helpful and well explained! I've been drawing passionately for years but I'm only just recently trying to learn actual art technique to enhance my art (as opposed to totally 'winging it' lol). Your note about adding a mix of colours to avoid the peace appearing overly cartoonish (if that's not what someone is going for) was super helpful to me! I love using bright, playful colours in my work and while I tend towards wanting to create a fantasy vibe, I have been frustrated with my art looking overly cartoonish even when I shade everything decently well. It makes sense now. Thankyou!
Excellent tutorial to observe how you approached these new medias and the result was amazing. Will continue to work on my observation and sketching skills.
A few months ago, I tried inexpensive pastels doing Van Gogh's Sunflower vase, a popular choice, I guess. I used mixed media paper. It was fun and challenging.
What's your next big art project? Let me know below!

I understand, they are also scary to me because they take so much time and I don't want to mess them up 🙂

I'm glad you enjoyed it too despite it's challenging at first
Can you mix oil-pastels with alcohol to blend better?
Baby oil is a good option.I made a detailed videos on different ways to blend them that you can find in the oil pastel playlist.
What’s your favorite paper for oil pastels? I’ve been trying them out on canson mei taintes but I’m eager to figure out other substrates.
It's paint on by Clairefontaine
