- One of the most important lessons I've learned about watercolor and art in general is that techniques alone are pointless, even when they're perfectly executed. Avoiding this mistake will change everything about your art and benefit from all the techniques you already know and use.

Yes stopping too soon or not adding quite enough pigment to the painting is a huge problem for me sometimes. Thanks so much for sharing this valuable information with us! Have a wonderful weekend!!🥰
Thank you you too!
There's always so much valuable information in your videos. Thank you❤
You're welcome !
This is so good, thank you so much for sharing ☺☺
You're welcome !
💕💕💕Beautiful work 🖼️ as always. Interesting that you stopped too soon on the first one. I love your explanation. Most of the time I see videos with artists overworking.
Your normal is so professional!!! Thanks for another great tutorial. Always love seeing your work.
Crayon.. because as you know, it’s me, Rowen, the oil painter still trying to learn WC.
Ah yes 🙂 i'm taking note for the crayons 🙂
I just subscribed with you. Thank you for the lesson. Love your style.❤
Thank you!
"Stop too soon..." Yes, that's the fine line to walk, isn't it? Not stopping too soon, but not overworking. Similar to writing a novel and editing. :)
Yes, always a balance 🙂
When I try adding darker colors to give the picture more contrast, it always turns into a muddy mess.
Crayon! I have some of those crayons, but haven't even tried them yet.
Good to know,.working on it!
Will it work using water soluble oil pastels or water mixable oil paints?
Yes, unless they were low quality or poorly pigmented
🎉😂Wonderful!❤❤❤
Thank you Brenda!
Yes, watercolor pencils please.
Noted. If it's watercolor pencils I have a hefty playlist about them here.

Looks like I'm about to be left behind in watercolors. Because having fixatives again diverts my attention to graphite drawings.
What do you mean?
@@paintingandchocolate I mean now that I have Fixatives to protect my graphite drawings, my attention is about making graphite drawings. And I don't have my desired paper for watercolor yet.
