Why not use the actual name: GALVANIZED? Ridiculous nick names serve no purpose. Do you say 'coppy' for copper? Or 'steely' for steel. Or 'alumi' for aluminum?
I dont work in LA much but had a house in south pasadena close to a 100 yrs w basement and another major renoveation in la Canada flintridge I kinda hate remodeling them when it entails tearing out beautiful fixtures even busting open the original wood lath and plaster walls
Probably would’ve been better to use a dielectric nipple out of that 90, but the rest of the Galvy is already plugged with festering so ig it doesn’t matter lol
@ correct because today steel fittings/ pipe aren’t allowed on potable water systems so there’s no need to use them anywhere except a water heater. At least in MA
The attention to detail with making hot/cold line up straight on the sink, love that shit
Nice job!! Thanks for sharing.
I love old houses. And you came up big on another repair dude. All the best!
That twisted pipe is wild! I hope you can return to the house a replace more of the Galvy with copper down the road! Thanks for sharing!

It's a good thing you didn't destroy that short sweep 90°.
Wow, you can tell those are some nice faucets. How much do you think a good quality faucet like that costs? Another great job BTW. 👍🏼
about 1k each @stromliving
I grew up in south Pasadena....all the houses in my neighborhood had basements
wow nice house and fixtures
$2000 in bath fixtures, I hope they are smooth.
Beautiful hardwoods, be a great house minus the galvanized lines…
Hey I’m back on the tubes 😂 thanks for the help!!!

Home Depot has 1/2”x 3’ polished brass nipples that would look real nice
