@@kipsome45 Same here ! All the while, I was figuring in my head the consequences if he could'nt retrieve it. Like, Ok, oil passages, up and down the block, then the pump, then... Freaking moments ! 😱
I didn't think anything would beat the emotions of when you retrieved the nut from the bowels of the engine (been there, done that), but hearing that engine fire up and seeing your reaction was simply unreal. On behalf of every guy or gal who picked up a spanner and said "I think I can fix this" a million thanks for that moment at 04:15. Well done Jack. Very, very well done!!
My father-in-law, a farmer’s son, vehicle tinkerer and most importantly a mechanical engineer, gave me an entire set (15 or so) of different magnetic pick-ups that he had cobbled together over decades to remove nuts, washers, etc… that he’d dropped over the years. It is a much treasured collection.
I actually smiled with you when you retrieved that nut, then when all the marks lined up after a few manual revolutions and then when it burst into life. You’re an inspiration to all home mechanics with big dreams and tiny garages.

Congrats to you on your hard work and perseverance so far...looking forward to seeing the Influenzo ripping some asphalt soon! Well done Jack, you been through the mill with this one, a lot would have given up and would have seen it up for sale as spares or repairs, but you've got the old gal up and running again. I raise my glass to you mate, top job 👍
An avalanche of memories came flowing through as I watched you work through this episode, Jack. Good, bad, and ugly. The sheer joy and euphoria when the engine kicks over. The agony when some bonehead move kicked me in the family jewels, followed by immeasurable relief when I managed to rescue myself from it. I’ve asked myself many times over the decades why I do this to myself. It’s for two moments. When it starts, and when I’m driving it down the road after a period of fiddling, knowing I managed to do it, once again. Thank you for running me through those memories. Well done! Most excellent! 👍👍
