- Jade, princess Tekla, Lady Zera, Pelvus and Zuma head for "Moon Over Mayhem" to socialize. In an attempt to reconcile, Tekla gives Jade the key of the Cluster defenses. During this pleasure trip they are attacked by Fire's pirates and smugglers as well as Lamprey and her drones.
"OooOo, bonding with the ladies! It makes me feel so .... macho."
This is, by far, my absolute favorite episode of Shadow Raiders!

Mine too because this is one of my favorite episodes because it was the very first episode I watched on Showtime Beyond before I started watching the whole entire series from the very beginning.

This episode is one of my favorites because it was the very first episode I watched when it aired on Showtime Beyond back in the early 2000s and then I started watching the whole entire series from the very beginning.
"Sorry..we don't serve miners here"
And I just love that Graveheart turned to the audience after hearing that.
OMG I'm finally old enough to get that joke! LOL
it is even better in French, because, minor and miner in french is the exact same word: mineur. Work so well.

Once again (the first being season 1 episode 11) this series taught me that if you need a filler episode, make it epic

I wouldnt call it a filler episode considering they did kill Lamprey. One of the three main Villains.

This is how you make an EPIC filler episode!!!! And this is how well written female characters are made! Great episode. Kudos to the editors and the people who selected the soundtrack!
Jade: Lamprey is in Graveheart's body!

I love how after the fight they're just standing there laughing while he's going "yup, this guy's dead too, like the bouncer who got shot right in front of me."
Thousands of people die in this show without the characters even acknowledging it.
This episode went way harder than necessary in that bar fight 😂
And here we have Lamprey's unceremonious departure from the series.
It's obvious she didn't die here, but since the planned third season never happened, she just vanishes from the series altogether from here on out...
yep and she's my favorite character.

This is how you do a filler episode.
Nothing relevant to the plot happens, but opportunities are offered for characters to grow and bond. Also it is very fun/
Overall, it is a filler episode, but one thing happened that was very relevant to the plot...
This is when Tekla gives Jade that data crystal, which Jade later on gives to Lord Mantel.
It's very sad that, when Tekla finally bonds with Jade and trusts her with something so significant, the latter is compelled to betray them (even though she didn't want to).
Lamprey died, that is relevant to the plot.
The data crystal and the force field generator are introduced in this episode. Both become important later.
Also as a smaller note. This introduces the forcefield generator which come up in two other battles.
