Happy to see another video, very happy for you having your 2nd. Im interested in trying out that apis biologix supplement as well but i eant to learn the baseline as a new beekeeper before i start adding in other stuff
Congratulations & thanks for the update. I would love to just see your vlog. Not a lot of content from Texas & just like to see what's going on with similar weather. Also just like to see a glimpse at large scale beekeeping (even though i would never want to do it)
October 18th things need to be done already , yep that’s the truth. Yes that Apis supplement will keep the bees kicked in gear, I need to watch that, as up here we need to shut them down. I love the ApisBiologix in spring as we set them out and want the hammer down It’s nothing more or less than natural encouragement
Some guys treat it like a magic bullet. It’s not that, not a bullet at all. Just a bit of extra powder to help that bullet along. Completely in a natural approach. It doesn’t fix bad bees nor will it stop bees from becoming bad. It will crank out the good bees. Sometime momentum is the edge we need
As for the theme of this video, I have two comments. You obviously keep coming back to this video project for a reason, and I suspect it’s for the same reason that I keep coming back to my video project, it’s that we want to share our passion. We have a lot up be proud of and that is what viewers want to watch. Be aware though, as you are a commercial operator as I am, you will get laughed at by other commercial beekeepers and that will drive a knife through your heart. Just remember, those comments are meaningless and done because they know the impact it has. Too many guys thrive on cutting others down. You will find, beyond the (small number) of hate, there are beekeepers who are genuinely interested. I hope you can manage these things so that I can see more of these videos Oh, and yes, I also know what kinda dynamics carrying a camera around the farm is all about! People only see a fraction of what goes on here :) my brothers are my biggest critics 😂
Thanks for the video. Glad your mite counts are settled down. If in a yard of 50 colonies you take say 5 mite checks and you find 0's and 1's in 4 samples but the 5th one is 20 mites, do you treat the whole yard then?
If it was an outlier like that I would leave it to survive. If I’m washing nothing but 0s and 1s then I don’t want the genetics of the bomb to live in my operation. Sure there will be drift, but we’re never treating individual hives. Always at the yard level.
I think you're overthinking it. I know there are informational, how to videos, but I think for most, just watching the mindless day to day with some interaction with the camera is all you need. Congratulations on number 2.
My thoughts are that the majority of views come from people learning. Only a few hundred watch every channel requardless of the content. A few thousand viewers are loyal to their favorite channels. Beekeeping on YT is a tough market. A landscape YT channel with an excavator gets 80k views three times a week, or a homestead channel gets 300k. I'm not sure why someone would put the effort into Beekeeping videos if they have anything better to do. I'm one of those loyal viewers of all and / or any videos Beekeeping related, so keep up the good work. Have fun with the babies, they don't stay young very long.
It’s amazing what people will mindlessly watch when they have no interest in ever actually doing it. Trying to make teaching content is hard work. Pulling out the camera while I’m already working is not. Thanks for the comment
Hey Jake Can you maybe show you syrup pumping system, and tell about you thoughts about electric vs the gas power ones, at you scale? I am just curious about what you are uses, and you experiences. Best regards Andreas, Denmark
Good morning, Mr. Jake, how are you doing? I'm a beekeeper here in Brazil, I follow your content and they are very good. I'm looking for a position and a work exchange will be a great achievement, I'm available to talk if it's of interest to you, thank you for your time.
Congratulations on the addition to the family
What do you do to make sure you get eight frames of bees in the spring after winter?
Glad to have a new video. Hope all is well. Life first always!!!
Regarding content, I am happy just to be along for the ride.

We never go broodless here so I might as well keep em pumping out for almonds. Hopefully they don’t end up in the trees.

Congrats on the new edition!!! What's your thoughts on the nectar system
Thanks! It is working well for us so far. It is pretty expensive, but they have listened and implemented our ideas.
@@beekeeperjake i just met the guys from Nectar at the FSBA convention. Looks like their software has a bunch of useful options
