Can you do a short on how you have your in hive feeder set up. Noticed it wasn’t cap and ladders but had something for bees to climb on? And is the block just to maintain shape? And how did you attach it
Love your videos. Just shared.
Thanks for sharing!!
Love my “copy cat” set up for feeding. My truck doesn’t have air so I use a little generator and compressor.
Nice!! What size tank are you using?
@ 250 gal. The only issue is when filling, you can have a syrup fountain if not careful! Lol.
What is your hive setup look like
10 frame doubles
I cant wait to get up there with you guys. Being in Canada, i doubt ill ever get as large as you guys but definite dreams
Was your ears ringing...I was thinking of you yesterday hope the mean people didn't run him off every few have really world content like Jake . I haven't needed to feed sense I finally figured out the mite program .. we did 150 pounds of goldenrod guess I've been feeding that back keeping the brood nest shut down.. I couldn't sell it after dropping apivar then a Tymol flash and nice long oav burn. Used mechanical treatments rest of the season and that's been the game changer.. mix of mechanical and chemicals lights out for the mites . Bees are filling dead spots themselves nuc yard I was in yesterday I know good and well had 6 deadouts after I started it in July wasn't any yesterday something must of swarmed.. when I do feed I like fondant anymore.. less weight on the truck zero waste . I can keep box full on the truck for months doesn't ferment sour or trigger robbing. I find a light one I can pile on 12 lbs of fondant not worried it's going to get to robbed or ferment.. fondant is inverted sugar like feeding that expensive mann lake syrup that's inverted without the moisture.. giving me month head start on nuc season. Syrup has to much moisture in Michigan in February but not fondant.. I had to figure out a recipe because fondant is expensive.. cost me 50 cents a pound making it in the microwave . I think years ago fondant is what bee keepers used. See them drawing white wax on it in the dead of winter tells me alot they don't do that on syrup... syrup seems to set back the weak and sick ones were the fondant they pop on it
Dude we’re have you been 😳😳?
Love your clips!!
Thanks! Last week’s video had a little update.
Hey jake get or done.
Like you're video.
And tell you dad rick Said hey
I have to get over there one day and talk about the good old days
Not a wasted step
Why didn’t I think of that patty shift idea. We don’t have hive beetle but I’m going to do that from now on
Good looken beez
Good video. I’m definitely going to set up a pressure tank. I have air in my rig
No time for wasted steps! Pattie idea was my guys. I wouldn’t have shown mercy to a weak colony lol. The quietness of the air feed rig makes feeding hurt way less 😅
What kind of inhive feeder do you use ?
We have a little bit of everything. We only buy open 1.5 gallon new and put hardware cloth in it with a wood block to keep it from warping.
