    "It's rare that an NES game based on a movie actually lives up to its name." Couldn't have said it better, myself. Batman NES is definitely a really well made game, and Sunsoft always had a unique and creative way of composing music for their games; this one is no exception.

    • @retronate
      @retronate  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      And to say it’s based on the movie is kind of a stretch…really only the joker fight and cut scenes lend to that, but close enough I suppose. Yeah this game has now piqued my interest for other sunsoft titles - Blaster Master and Journey to Silius at the top of that list.

    Excellent music, very good game play, never managed to beat it until save states (I know it's embarrassing). Used to do stage 2 boss no damage as a kid, no weapons, but I lost that ability when I replayed a few years ago. For some reason I'd never use weapons and the jumping enemies in zone 3 would troll me hard where I'd usually die a lot. Stage 5 I think was my filter, those gears just shred me each time since I never mastered the wall jumping.
    Think I saw the joker once, then died to him. Wish I didn't quit as easily as I did while a child, didn't think the pre-Joker boss would be gone even after a continue. Joker has superpowers, unlike Batman :D
