@@mathewpoole3589the senior art director at obsidian is well a unsavory guy and posted a lot of stuff online he prolly shouldn’t have. I won’t get into the details but I’m sure if you look it up online you’ll find some of it if you’re curious. The issue i have besides him is an internal email basically just told the staff to lay low and hope people forget about it so that they don’t have to address it.
I'm not buying until actual reviews come out. Outer Worlds made it clear that Obsidian, like CDPR, can't be trusted just because they had a smash hit in the past.
@vintageoriginallegit the fact that most TH-cam reviews were overwhelmingly positive at launch, only to be reversed around the same time as one another, means that positive reviews were most likely bought and paid for and negative reviews weren't allowed until X amount of time had passed. Just days after I finally bought the game myself, the very same channels praising the game changed their minds and pointed out just how lackluster the game actually was. The revised reviews just so happened to match my thoughts on the game: No replayability, boring story line, mediocre combat mechanics, lifeless world development. The positive user scores were because Obsidian tried to capitalise on the Bethesda hate campaign at the time by reminding everyone that the game was being made by the same developers that made everyone's "favourite" fallout game. This resulted in the game getting overwhelmingly positive user scores just to stick it to Bethesda. To this day, I can't even recommend the game even when it's on sale
I wonder if they will address the Matt stuff, there is a large crowd that won't be buying the game because of that whole situation.
@@wyattwelton8599 Matt stuff?

I’ve been waiting for this since outer worlds came out, that game wasn’t perfect but there was a TON of good imo
i'm gonna play avowed 5 days before its released
I hope they release a physical version ☹️
I can’t wait to not play it or care about it at all due to its disgusting team lead.

Outer worlds was a great double A smaller scale game. Why would that make you not trust them it got great reviews from fans and critics alike.

good game to pirate, not giving my money to woke losers.
Amen

Hope it’s better than outer worlds 1
From the looks of it, it could be even worse.
Loved the outer worlds 1
I mean, pretty low bar, so I really hope so.
But guys, fallout...
Past success is not a reflection of future success. Outer Worlds and Cyberpunk made this very clear.
Truly, Skyrim with guns.
it's not.
