I was referring both to the dip in quality of their recent games(which again, I still like them) and more than that, the turmoil within the company. They’ve had their struggles with the financial side of things, as well as lay offs and outside pressure stemming from the Microsoft acquisition. I’m glad they are in a more stable place because of that deal, but like with so many of Microsoft’s recent acquisitions, they seem to have managerial issues that leave them without focus and direction.

The outer worlds was a great game so if this is like a pillars world version of that then it'll be amazing. My only problem with the outer worlds was it was too small so hopefully now all the world building is done they can expand more in the sequel. Avowed shouldn't have that problem because its set in a preexisting world with lore already laid out.
I honestly find people making a big deal of it a bit cringeworthy, but I find it more cringeworthy that the pronouns are present at all in a single player RPG. Specifically the fact that they past your pronouns at the top of your character sheet where they serve no purpose. It’s not a twitter bio, this is a single player game. Being reminded of your own pronouns in a single player pause menu makes no sense unless it’s only purpose is to antagonize or make a statement.
It looks wonderfully old-school, which is great news! My interest in it wasn't all that until this latest batch of previews and gameplay videos. Between this, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, Titan Quest 2, and Path of Exile 2, the coming 12-18 months are looking real busy.

PoE 1&2 are some of my favourite games of all time. I have been excited for this game for so long now, and from the looks of it I wont be disappointed. I know a lot of people didn't like the Outer Worlds, but I loved it and Avowed looks like it has a similar structure with how the open zones work. However it definitely looks like Avowed is going to be much longer, which is expected now that they have Microsoft funding them.
I gotta say being forced to be a Godlike is not what I expected, and no dedicated psionic or chanter class abilities is a bit disappointing, but it still looks amazing. Including the PoE stats, gear, and enchantment systems is really nice.

"Shaky time"? Pretty much all their games have been critically praised, their most recent games being Pentiment, Grounded, and Outer Worlds, all of which were a critical and financial successes.

I was referring both to the dip in quality of their recent games(which again, I still like them) and more than that, the turmoil within the company. They’ve had their struggles with the financial side of things, as well as lay offs and outside pressure stemming from the Microsoft acquisition.
