      If all muslims & sadias and salmans think of Bharat as their Motherland, will she have to come and whine about how Hindus are treating her ? Verma guy was supportive of her.Secular comraderie.

    Dr. Frawley's last statements were spot on. The world in actuality knows nothing about India. Especially the journalists. There are certain news houses who benefit from painting India in bad light as it caters to local consumption. This should not be seen as a reflection or result of Indian governance or such.
    Asking anyone about India, the best the average person would say is, "its a far off place".

  • @07010431
    @07010431 6 ปีที่แล้ว +47

    So Modi and Trump comparison does not work here. Trump is the representative of White Supremacist, who themselves invaded America and colonized the native population. They are similar to the Muslims in India, who invaded and culturally colonized India, forcefully converted Hindus. The only difference is that Whites are the majority in the USA and they have been the oppressor; whereas, in India, the Muslims are the minority in India and have been able to dominate the native Hindu population due to their non-violent nature. Now, the Modi Government is the legitimate force, who wants to reclaim the history and civilization of India that has been mercilessly pluralistic and non-violent. The Trump of India could have been Aurengjeb or Mahmud Gajni. India has undergone a million times more violent state sponsored violence under these two despots in the Medieval India. But liberal Hindu Marxist, in their vain effort of secular liberal foolishness, tries to white-wash that hisotory as if Islam came to the sub-continent to reform the outcaste or Dalits. Very SAD.
    The problem with Sadia is that she thinks that all muslims in India are non-violent like her or liberal like her. Which is clearly not true. She used America and Trump argument which does not apply here. The American majority, that is to say, the White European American have whitewashed their native American Genocides or the Mexico Invasion or even a large part of their brutality during the slavery period against Blacks. After listening to Sadia Dehlovi's comparison between Indian history and American history, it seems to me as an American that the Blacks invaded the White Americans four hundred years ago and turned the majority whites into slaves and now the President Trump wants ban on Immigrants and Muslims instead of moving to the future unitedly.
    This comparison is so not true. In USA, the history is written from the perspective of Genocidal White Europeans. Now the African Americans, and the Native Americans want their fair share of the history. They do not want revenge against the Whites, (even if they do want revenge, it would not be unfair), all they want is a fair share in the history. They simply want the recognition that White Genocidal Americans violently killed or converted the Native and the Black population.
    The history of India unofortunately has been written from the perspective of the Genocidal Minority Muslims. Who are writing these history books? Unfortunately again the Majority Hindu Marxists and Post-colonialists who lack any sense of Indian bloody history or they consciously want to hide it as they think, according to Paranjapee Sir, infantalizing Indian people would somehow prevent the justified anger of Hindus. Look at the history of the USA -- did writing the violent history of White Europeans and their genocides made Natives and Blacks more violent? The answer is NOOO. It opened up and widened the possibility of a greater national Unity. Hiding the Genocidal records of Muslim Invasion might agitate the Indian Hindus for a while. But I think it would widen the possibility of a greater Hindu-Muslim Unity, as Hindus generally tend to prefer Ahimsa.
    The worst person in this debate was the guy named Pavan, who thinks that Muslims did genocide but we need not to focus them. He wants to wipe out the history. He will probably forget his father's name tomorrow :D
    Good Job, Paranjapee and Bamadeva Shastree sir.

      Victor Hugo, Sir just a reminder, India is a hindu majority bcoz the muslim majority partitioned India in 1947. The India today is amputated before... and Indians forgive, they believe everything happends for good... may be the amputation helped them to achieve atleast democracy..!! ya everything happends for good..😊

    • @MrDillbud
      @MrDillbud 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Victor Hugo . true.Muslims not only invaded, committed genocides etc., but . this woman is lying when she says that the muslims became one with India's culture. My Foot ! Ganga-jamni tehzeeb ! Hogwash .Then, why do they, though original Hindus(Converts) have problem saying Vande Maataram or Bharat Mata ki jai . and why in the name of peace be upon you Allah , are there terrorist attacks ? Hindus were accepting of them despite the rapes etc., but, it's the muslims who won't allow that.They , along with kristus & seculars, keep inflicting fresher and fresher wounds.We are supposed to forget and forgive all atrocities and trespasses. Only ,they will always remember, to convert us wholehog and turn India into a barbaric man killing and eating man kabailes.

    • @rawnrox88

      @@unknownmadog8557 uh uh.. you have a wrong notion. At the time of Partition, Undivided India had a population of 390 Million, of which 300 Million were Hindus. So, Hindus were still a huge majority that time also.
      And on Democracy, you're again singing the song of idiot West. Amputation didn't brought in Democracy. India had to snatch it from Britishers. India had been denied democracy from long due to colonization.

    In short, India's history book should not be full of Mughal, British rule of 10 centuries.
    But india is 50 centuries old civilization, with Hindus, Buddhist kingdoms, knowledges should also have their share, in defining Modern India's identity.
    ..& GangaJamna Tehzeb looks very immature & shallow compared to Indus valley civilization, the true Tehzeb of a true Indian.

    • @ade9036
      @ade9036 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Indus civilization, Buddhist influence during Gupta Mouryans are also included in the History books. History relies on documentation and archeological findings. So it's natural that facts of ancient history have less evidence than British and Mughals

    • @swapnilrb7370
      @swapnilrb7370 6 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      A De
      Thorough history about almost every era, is known to Archeologists. The issue is how much emphasis do they give to which era. The best way to make people know the relevant history, is during schooling.
      If history books taught to toddlers, have special chapters of each Mughal Emperor & each British Viceroy, why don't they teach student equally briefly about each Emperor of Mourya, Gupta, Cholas, Satvahana, & other Mahajanapadas? I know for sure, these kingdoms were run by pure "son of soils" & not by invader-turned natives.
      If the Ancient Hindu-Buddhist kingdoms weren't that influencial, you wouldn't find Buddha statues in Afghanistan & Angkor Vat in Cambodia, Tamils in Singapore.
      If u wanna know more deeply, visit British Museum in London (Indian Subcontinent section)

      @@ade9036 You may be right at some point but just tell me one thing, when mughals were ruling india. There were many hindu and sikh kings like Marathas and Sikhs, who were fighting to save there tradition and culture and many bashed mughals badly, don't you think that need to be included. Just tell me how many of us read about sikhs and marathas dynasty in our history books. And why mughals have always been showed with a very clean image. Why not include how forcefully hindu where converted. We need to understand all the aspects of history rather its good or bad.

    I am very impressed by your thought of Truth in reconciliation. I am looking for that day where muslims say sorry for genocide of conversion, destruction, rape, slavery and seriously wonder if there are enough muslims who think of genuine healing. I fear of Gazva Hind where India will become a muslim nation under the garb of secularism
    I have a pakistani muslim friend whom I treat as my brother. We are both physicans in USA and worry about all the fighting between India and Pakistan and between Hindu and muslims
    I truly think in order for indian subcontinent to be peaceful, there's got be true acceptance of treachery of foreign invaders and foster great interaction between all groups for ideas to live with current issues and condemn all radical ideas and subdue them all the time

    Professor Makarand is ❤️
    Just noticed him in a random debate and I am addicted to hearing him.
    We need more intellectuals like him.
    He bodied that lady panelist who was trying to whitewash Chisti and invasion, Tyranny by citing "see We translated upnishads in Persian"
    So we didn't had students from other parts of world in Nalanda and takshashila be he translated it.
    For someone's good deed we can't forget the Tyranny of invaders which constitute the major part of the history.

    Half way through and Paranjape is on a roll. Calling them out brilliantly.
    Dharm parivartan ho raha hai par aankhein toh mil rahin hain. His point and body language in the context is sooo good.
    Also, the point about how somehow it was not polite to mention the damage done to India by foreign occupations.

    This one is the best debate I ever seen. Here Mr. Pawan Verma and Mr. Pranjal show the real picture of India. Mrs. Sadia the point you make an imaginary point and mam you want to make this platform to use Muslim as suppressor. This is not true. We must learn from History and accept our pitfalls not hide. The best point in the whole debate is made by Mr. Winfrey sir. Hats off to you sir.

    These are the kinds of discussions and debate culture that needs to be encouraged in Universities. For students to reason and articulate their concerns. Rather than engaging in mindless meaningless protest driven towards media sensationalism and political agenda. This would be productive way to voice dissent and express opinions, but also opening yourself up to hear other perspectives.

    History teaches you to lessons and true history must be learnt objectively without fear and bias. You can not forget or forgive those who were crusaders and did torture people who were non-Muslims. That stand should not translate as opposing existing Muslim population

    Minority appeasement for vote bank is anti secular indeed but the statement in a constitution defines the character of a nation as a summary. As Prof. Markand says India has always been a 'dharmik' land, this nation is multi religious and seeks a religious characterization. That character is secular by constitution. Well, Islam and Christianity came much later than the old schools of Hindu philosophy but those religions have also been assimilated within our culture. Medieval ages of imperialism was brutal irrespective of religions. Crusades are also dictated by imperialism in disguise of religious expansion. We have evolved beyond all these. British rulers tactically seeded the majority and minority game that this nation is bearing as a post colonial hang over. So the mention of 'Secular' in the constitution is very much essential for our plural democratic exercise and is one of the reference points. It's unfortunate that politicians are misusing this just as a tool for divisive politics.

    this sadia woman is hung up on her islamic GangaJamni tehzeeb , and emotional about being a dehlvi .She is willing to have armchair discussions,but ,not concede the points David Frawley and Prof Paranjape made , and how the introduction of the word "secularism" and "socialism" ( these two words were surreptitiously interpolated , without popular mandate (Champagne socialism, exactly, by ganga-jamni tehzeebwale dehlvis and abdullahs and mani mullaha))in India's narrative has destroyed the very Multi-cultural,Multi-religious, Pluralistic, Fabric of the Nation. In her own interest she should be willing to see where The Majority's Frustration lies .But,that would mean, that she is declaring herself not secular enough. So , she has to criticize and hide behind a mock fear of attacks by Hindus. Hindus have all along been in Defensive positions and been marginalized and ignored. You pseudos have brought it upon yourselves, Don't cry wolf now...
