  • With the war of narratives picking pace like anything after Modi coming to power in 2014, the left vs. right divide has only escalated, and now it is being claimed that history is being rewritten for political benefits. As the long push of the conservative right wing is finally being heard, this war of narratives has flown down from many places to India, where it now finds space. Is this an attempt to divide Indian society? In this episode of Podcast with Smita Prakash, we bring two experts to discuss the subject with their in-depth knowledge. Author and journalist Hindol Sengupta has penned 10 books on history, mythology, among others, and is the first Indian to win the Wilbur Award for his book ‘Being Hindu’. He is accompanied by Podcaster and social commentator Kushal Mehra. In this articulated podcast with Smita Prakash, the panel discusses whether or not the transition in history writing is bringing a divide in Indians, examines the western bias against India by foreign academia and India’s growth story.

Indians suffer from colonial hang over and innate inferioty complex. I have lived aboard for over a decade now, and it is only of late ( last 5 years) that the youth coming out of India (mostly students) have began to accept themselves for who they are and are able to show India in a better light. This is extremely refreshing. Academia all over the world is left leaning. Centre right academics are largely side-lined . There is a need to have a safe space for alternative narrative and podcasts such as these are extremely useful and enlightening.

Depends what you mean by left and right. It makes no sense. In the west, left support indigenous rights but if you are for indigenous rights in India then you are right wing 😂

The biggest problem of the ex-colonies is their mindset of seeking approval & validation from their colonial masters.
The reality is that a colonized mind cannot be innovative. Because the thought process has been borrowed and is not part of the intellectual self.
While collaboration is the rule of the world, it is the cultural identity that brings innovation to the world. Variety brings beauty to the world. Variety is also the spice of the world. No individual would want to eat the same meal at different times during the day. The identity of an individual comes from the land of birth, culture of the land, language and ancient traditions. The DNA of every human being contains the repository of the experiences from that land, culture and language. Therefore, the thought process of every human being from that particular land is alike. If the world would be controlled by the natives without any colonial imposition, the world would have the variety that we all could enjoy.
The natives of the land is not just a concept but it is an identity worth preserving for the sake of the global human community.
We have many international organizations that try to protect the local flora & fauna of the lands. However, we have still not pursued the idea of preserving the native cultures, language and identity of our fellow humans. Like I always say, “Innovation is the domain of original thinkers.” The world is always looking for fresh ideas and concepts that would bring a new experience to the buyers. That’s why people choose holidays in far flung places to clear their thoughts. An American may be proud to wear a shirt made in India, while an Indian make in turn would like an American one. This is a very natural human behavior. Homogeneity is not the primordial characteristic of a human being. Every human being is made special by Bhagavan. Every human is created unique with the most unique traits that make one special. Those traits become prominent in those communities which retain that original human potential for land. The colonized people, however, lose that unique human trait.
Innovation & economic progress cannot happen in lands that are still enslaved by colonial mindset and especially those propagated by FBCs.

@@Tarek.RamaraBook of Sitaram Goel titled ‘Perversion of India’s Political Parlance’. This book essentially talks about the language of the left and how it has evolved over the years and how it is impacting society even in current times. In chapter 2 titled ‘Words which defy dictionaries’, Sitaram Goel discusses at length how some of the words we use in our day-to-day life defy the dictionary.
      LEFT VERSUS RIGHT
o Leftists are defined as ‘progressives’ while the Rightists are defined as conservatives. The dictionary defines Right as “tending or having the power to keep entire, to retain, to preserve” and also as “averse of change.” However, there is nothing wrong with preserving or retaining something unless what is preserved is undesirable
      PROGRESSIVE VERSUS REACTIONARY
o Dictionaries define progressives as one who is “moving forward, making progress.” But, there is no definition of progress.
o Dictionaries define a reactionary as “one who attempts to revert to past political
conditions.” However, this is a very vague generalization, and it is very difficult, almost impossible for any people, at any stage of history, to revert to past political
      conditions
      REVOLUTIONARY VERSUS REVIVALIST
o Dictionaries define revolution as a ‘Radical change in the government’. However, it is nowhere indicated whether the change is for the better or worse.
o Dictionaries define a revivalist as “one who promotes religious, architectural or
other revivals.” The left has a problem with religious revival. This is understandable
when we look at closed creeds like Christianity and Islam which strike at the very roots of rationalism, humanism, and universalism. But the objection becomes blind when it comes to the ancient civilization of Sanatan Dharma.
      SOCIALIST VERSUS CAPITALIST
o Sitaram Goel Ji calls Socialism a ‘Magical word which paralyzes all thinking processes in a majority of our politically conscious intelligentsia.’
      SECULAR VERSUS COMMUNAL
o The word secular is defined in the dictionaries as “the belief that the state, morals, education, etc. should be independent of religion.” But in India, it means only one thing - eschewing everything Hindu and espousing everything Islamic.
o Every politician who wants to qualify as secular needs to endorse everything that is
Islamic, and denounce everything that is Hindu.
o One is not secular unless one harbors and expresses a pronounced anti-Hindu animus.
      DEMOCRATIC VERSUS FASCIST
o The Leftists swear by democracy only so long as they are in the opposition. They
believe and proclaim that they will use force to transform society once they are in
power. It is, therefore, difficult to understand how the Leftists label themselves as democrats and others as Fascists!
Sitaram Goel rightly defined this situation where ‘The so-called Rightists are collapsing under the weight of certain words which the Leftists have heaped upon their heads without rhyme or reason.’

Academia in West has not traditionally been left wing. The history of most countries USA,UK and Europe were written by conservatives, nationalists who glorify their countries and their religion. In UK colonialism effects are hardly taught. Maybe it's changing now but in India its complete opposite.

@@Sbeyonce-ur9zk Since the Enlightenment era, academia in the West have moved to be further and further left-leaning. Prior to that, the Church had near complete control over European universities. There are few universities in Europe that were not administered by officials from the Churches. Prior to the Enlightenment period, a study of mathematics, physics in a typical European university went hand in hand with theology. In fact, Christian theology was a foundational discipline, that was taught before anything else. It is onyla after the Enlightenment, that de-coupling between Christian teachings and the natural sciences begin. This is contemporary to the general secularization of public life in Europe.
And it is not true that the so-called liberals in Europe were anti-colonialism. In fact, they were all funded through the spoils of colonialism. John Locke, doyen of liberals and libertarians today, personally benefitted from the Atlantic slave trade. John Stuart Mill, defender of woman's rights, individual liberty, freedom of expression etc etc, was a staunch defender of the British Empire and worked for the East India Company. Spinoza's family ran an importing business in Amsterdam during the Dutch Golden Age. All of these guys are celebrated in the West today as intellectuals.

Me being a Maharashtrian and now 50 years old we were very lucky in the sense i remember, I guess it was 6th standard our history book was entirely dedicated to Shivaji Maharaj. Secondly, our friends, relatives anybody who was somebody (mostly Hindus) just loved Veer Savarkar. Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was and now has been part of our DNA therefore leftist and Congi's could only do so much. Therefore, they concocted the lie by saying that he was secular, 40% in his army were Muslims etc. The reality he was not a secular I am proud of it.
There is an interesting example. Lata Mangeshkar and her entire family were die hard Savarkar supporter and Latabai was very nasty in rebutting if somebody said negative about Savarkar.

Varna and Jati have different meaning. Varna was profession based. Whether you follow your family profession and it's decided by birth or enter in to it after training and initiation and professional education. You find people of same gotra among different varnas. Jati is ethnicity or tribe. Varna can be by birth or choice. But to change jati you either marry in to it or get adopted and then let the naturalization happen.
Problem is that the word Caste does not differentiate between the two. It mixes , varna, tribe, sect clan, ethnicity all in to one. And then blames the social issues all on Hinduism because hindu religion mentions varna. But whenever jati's get linked with particular profession, it was social development not religious law. That's why we have caste even among other religions.

Saul Alinsky wrote a book titled ‘Rules for Radicals’ which became a practical guide for the realist Leftist cabal worldwide and the Panchmakkars (Mulla, Missionary, Marxist, Macaulay’s children, and Media) in the Indian context. This article tries to highlight their strategy and give a practical guide to counter it.
The first rule of the radicals is “Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have.” This rule has been extensively used by the ‘Aandolanjeevis’ in India. The Aandolanjeevis have tried to capture the brains of their opponents and have portrayed their power to be much bigger than it was even while they were in lesser numbers. The strategy to counter the first rule is quite simple - The Non-Left must call the bluff. The government was seen on the backfoot during the Shaheen Bagh protests and the Kisaan Andolan. The power of the radicals was much lesser than it was projected to be. The ideal way of dealing with this Anti-CAA rioting was displayed by Yogi Adityanath. He called the bluff and showed the rioters their place.
The second rule is “Never go outside the expertise of your people.” The context behind this is when a person is an expert in something, he is much secure and confident and this strengthens the movement. This rule is implemented by the radicals by using the media to their benefit. The left-leaning media has expertise in fake news and bruising the image of India, so they are precisely given the task they are good at. We saw the examples of this vulture journalism during the pandemic, where the leftists were cooking their meals on the pyres of dead bodies by selling such images in dollars to the West. The best way to counter the second rule is by drawing a bigger line. The non-left should create experts in all the fields to counter the narrative of the left and expose their inhumane techniques.
The third rule is “Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy.”. This rule was widely used during the Anti-CAA protests. The Left sensed that the government did not have expertise in managing mobs and hence they started implementing the same tactics throughout the nation to create a situation of panic and anxiety in the opposing camps. To counter this rule, the Non-Left should always be on the watch. No one can have expertise in all the fields, but when attacked, instead of being anxious and abducting responsibility, one must give a strong counter-response. The basis of the third rule is the anxiety in the opposing camp. If the non-left replies confidently and gives a strong counter-response the movement would fizzle out.
The fourth rule is “Make the enemy live up to its book of rules.” This is preached every day to the BJP. The left(Panchmakkar in India) when in power uses all sorts of means to suppress its opponents but cries for values like liberty and democracy when in opposition. They would cry Fascism in India when BJP arrests some journalists but won’t speak a word, and in fact, celebrate when a nationalist journalist is arrested by a government leaning on their side. The ideas and the ideology of the left are partisan and hypocritic. The best way to counter this rule is to treat them the way they are. In Sanatana Dharma, we have the philosophy of शठे शाठ्यं समाचरेत्- Which means we must treat the evil by evil means. The ideals and morals must not be a barrier while we are dealing with an enemy which is an existential threat to our civilization.
The fifth rule is “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.” The left tries to ridicule and create an online lynch mob against anyone who speaks for Hindutva or BJP. This is done by calling them names like Communal, Fascists, Sanghi, etc which has been dealt with in our last article of ‘Language of the Left for the people in a hurry’. This rule can be countered by the same technique. The non-left must ridicule the left for their baseless arguments and their utopian ideas. The left barely has any logic and can be easily ridiculed by the same way they target a certain group of people who are averse to their ideology.
The sixth rule is “A good tactic is one your people enjoy.” The left in India enjoys blocking streets and singing songs against the nation. The non-left should devise a counter to this. To begin with, the left should not be given the space to occupy the streets. The Kisaan Andolan which occupied the Delhi borders later became a picnic spot with Pizza parties and massage centers rallying for the protestors. Since Saul Alinsky recommends doing something people enjoy, the non-left should find the motive as to why they enjoy a particular movement. We should sense their end goal out of it, and disincentivize such activities instead of incentivizing them by our inaction and by giving a soft signal of approval of their power. This encourages them more and we see more Anti-India, Anti-Hindu statements, more rioting, and more blockading. So the non-left must first disincentivize such actions and make sure that the pleasure from the action is lesser than the pain for carrying it out.
THE SEVENTH RULE IS ‘A TACTIC THAT DRAGS ON TOO LONG BECOMES A DRAG’. THE LEFT TRIES TO KEEP ON CREATING PANIC BY PICKING NON-EXISTENT ISSUES AND THEN MOBILIZING MASSES AND WRITING ARTICLES ABOUT IT IN THE WESTERN MEDIA. THEY ALWAYS TRY TO KEEP THE GOVERNMENT AND THEIR OPPONENTS ON THEIR TOES. THE BEST STRATEGY USED FOR IT IS TO LET THEM DRAG THE ISSUE SO FAR, THAT IN THE END, THE MASSES LOSE THEIR HOPE IN THIS CAUSE. THIS STRATEGY HAS BEEN MASTERED BY PM MODI, HOWEVER, HE STRETCHES IT A BIT FAR SOMETIMES EVEN WHERE THE ACTION COULD PAY BETTER DIVIDENDS THAN LETTING THEM DRAG.
The eighth rule is “Keep the pressure on. Never let up. Always use some new flank. Keep the opposition off balance”. This rule has been covered in some form or the other in all the above points. As discussed, the Non-Left should constantly be on watch and counter the narrative of the left with strong resistance. The left does not have strong arguments. The Non-Left should confidently present their case and if the left comes down to ridiculing, then we must adopt the same path too. We should never succumb to their pressure and counter their narrative with facts. The confidence of the non-left would put the left off-balance as evident in India with the rising consciousness among the Right-wing or the Non-Left as a whole.
The ninth rule is “The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.” This rule was extensively used to threaten the government against taking any steps regarding the scrapping of Art(370) or building the Ram Mandir. The common narrative was if anyone tries touching Art(370) or build Ram Mandir, there would be bloodshed in the entire country. This was countered with great brilliance by PM Modi through his strong military posture in Kashmir and by Yogi through his stronghold on the law and order situation in UP. Yogi Adityanath was on a record in an interview where the interviewer asked him about the Ram Mandir situation (before the judgment) and the possibility of riots and bloodshed. Yogi Adityanath, without blinking his eye said, ‘Not even a mosquito would get impacted. There’s no scope of rioting in UP. If anyone wants to do such things, he should try other states’.
The tenth rule is to maintain constant pressure on the opposition, which has been fairly dealt with in the points above. The eleventh rule is “If you push a negative hard enough, it will push through and become a positive.” It deals with trying to incite violence from the opposition which would help to get the public sympathy in your favor. PM Modi countered this by using the bare minimum force of the state during the CAA and the Farmers protest. This is a good counter, however as discussed earlier, there should be a limit to this too. We should draw a line as to how far this can be stretched. At some point in time, it is important to show who wields the power.
The twelfth rule is- “The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.” The left always comes up with alternatives and clear demands when they are approached for a discussion. These demands may sound unreasonable but the left, however, uses them to show that they are willing for a compromise, but the opposition is not willing to cede anything from their end. The demands can be as unreasonable as releasing Maoists and terrorists to take the farmers’ agitation back. The solution for this is looking through their agenda and busting the myth of their constructive alternative and displaying the fault lines in their approach.
The thirteenth rule is- “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” The left is currently using this strategy against the UP CM Yogi Adityanath. The left looks up to Yogi as a major threat and they have started attacking him personally by doctoring his videos and creating a complete polarization against Yogi Adityanath. This rule however has a drawback. The polarization by the left also triggers reverse polarization and the more the Left targets Yogi and Modi, the more non-left rallies behind them. The application of the thirteenth rule is itself a counter of the rule.
The Radicals and Panchamakkars in India follow these rules like a Bible and the counter to these rules has to be in the language they understand, but which is rooted in our Indic identity. We should not become like them in countering their ideology. We should create an alternate narrative and work on countering the ideology of the left. The counter for radicals is a necessity in the current times. Wherever necessary, we should speak to them in their language, but while doing so there should be a strong sense of confidence in our civilizational value. We should respond to them from the position of strength. We’ve initiated the process, but we still have a long way to go.

They are consuming content using alternative means such as podcasts, book summarizing apps (such as Blinkist), audiobooks, large-language-models (ChatGPT, Google Bard etc). Cannot blame them as even the older generations who were conventional readers have shifted to the newly available tech.

    • @Galavya41

@@MrLee-gj2jz Agreed but the thing is these ' techs ' are not proper alternatives to old school reading . Of course you can use tech like Kindle and Kobo but other things like Google bard , Chat GPT and podcasts simply cannot compare . Joseph Addison said “Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body.” There are modern studies which prove that reading activates regions of the Brain which others mediums simply cannot . I too had stopped reading for almost 6 years and it took a lot of effort on my side when my brother almost forced me to read J Sai's book on Bharat . The book is not a difficult read but my mind simply refused to sit and focus for long periods ....I believe that we are unaware of the side effects tech or rather our over dependence on tech is having on our physiology ..a very low attention span is just one such side effect .

    • @MrLee-gj2jz
      @MrLee-gj2jz ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@Galavya41 well, there is simply so much material in the world today that even a speed reader can only blast through 55 books per year. That is a one book a week. Over a lifetime, that averages to around 4000-5000 books, provided one lives long enough to read that much.
Now contrast this with the number of books published. Amazon has around 48.5 million books. There is no way, a human can read through the entire stack of published work. And this is not even counting scientific literature the reading of which, IMO, is more important than books.
We need a way to absorb information faster. Yes, there is a genuine advantage to reading, but if tech such as LLMs, Blinkist etc can expose us to more concepts and materials in the limited time we have, I would take that as a win.

    • @Galavya41
      @Galavya41 ปีที่แล้ว

@@MrLee-gj2jz Yes indeed and I am not against things like summarizing apps and G Bard . Those are great tools indeed ...BUT the thing is that we have stopped serious reading altogether ( At least in my and most of my friends case ) . These tools can be of great use when we simply need to have a basic idea about a subject but book reading helps you to not only know about the topic in detail but the process is such that it compels you to think about it as well and helps you gain deeper insights . These modern tools are great for gathering information but reading also aids in bettering your knowledge and wisdom . We need not choose one for the other as both are useful in their respective ways .

44:07 to 46:16. 👏👏👏 Brilliantly put! ✨ This is exactly how the psychological set up of the common Indian person was through the 90s (acc to me). As Bharatiyas, it comes very very naturally to us when we go out into the world to find what is _common_ between us and the person we are talking to. We feel happy to know what's common and without a second thought appreciate or are neutral whatever is different about the other. This is true liberalism (classic liberalism as Mr. Hindol says). It is not rare for even South East Asians to have similar conversations with us. HOWEVER, when we talk to "westerners", the first thing they are interested in knowing and are actively fishing for is DIFFERENCES beyond the obvious ethnic identity. And this is the Bhaarat-West divide. The Western or 'westernized' mind has the strong conditioning of seeing and finding difference and that becomes their frame of reference or filter when they are dealing with the world. The more ancient Bhaaratiya identity already comes from people being bound by commonalities at various levels which have peacefully coexisted for ages.

Coming to the vishwaguru thing... We have to aspire to be the vishwaguru in "innovation, getting things done more than what the system is capable of, efficiency, usage of technology for addressing real societal problems, sustainability, Harmony with environment which is basis of the Vedic style of living, and of course the moral ethics, tolerance, pluralism, broadmindedness which is ingrained in our culture, and many more... "
These are the areas India have a huge potential to teach and show the world a better way of doing things or better perspectives... And being a vishwaguru.
And there should be a balance between innovation, improving the general lifestyle of the citizens, using technology to facilitate and enabling people to prosper...
Balanced With the ground level problems of basic needs like food, education, healthcare ...
And the innovations done through aspirations will also trickle down into the welfare schemes of the people making their lives easier and ensuring better deliverance of the basic necessities.
UPI is the best example which is one of the best innovations in recent times which had real impact on the society as a whole as well as it facilitated the economically weaker people to access few facilities with ease and improving their lives through it.
The poverty glorification is sheer stupidity... and it never was in our culture...
Not flaunting wealth is different from glorifying the poverty.. and this nuance is lost in history.
In fact Artha (earning) is integral part of the 4 purusharthas (4 goals of life). But the nuance is not to get engrossed in that wealth and forget higher purpose... And hence wealth is not given the highest priority.
But unfortunately the 21st century society lacks nuance at its core in every aspect across the world. This makes them treat being non-materialistic but ambitious at the same time, is something selfcontradictory in modern black-and -white binary world view .
    ******
Coming to the social media outrage... I feel people have too much spare time to make anything and everything inconsequential into a national issue...
There ARE SOME IMPORTANT stuff... Focus on those.... Not a random song with orange bikini...
People need to pick their fights wisely or else, they'll lose their credibility and no one will listen to them when they take up an actual, real, important issue...
And this polarization on the internet due to the social media bubbles due to the very nature of the social media is the toxic place which shouldn't be flooded with nonsense... Just because it gives engagement, entertainment, etc... people should understand, the random outrage just causes more damage than the inconsequential issue they r mad about.
And focusing on every small thing which would've been an individual level conflict and blowing it out of proportions into a national issue won't help the country.
And it's not just in India.. social media is toxic everywhere... And it's either the cancel culture or misuse of freedom of speech to destabilize the existing harmony on unnecessary stuff.
Social media is a powerful tool.. and with great power comes great responsibility... 🕷️
Thus people have to understand... That their actions on a platform has consequences and they should choose the actual important issues to fight for and not anyt7and everything, because, those other inconsequential issues that they rise will dilute the focus on the actual real issues which needs to be addressed.

India's pluralism is both its strength and weakness. India's pluralism exists because of Hindu majority which accepts every path as true which allows numerical minorities like jews and parsees to.flourish in India but weakness is when radicals or zealots of monotheistic faiths which are expansionary and want to convert every person claim that pluralism will be in danger because of Hinduism. Another weakness of pluralism is when the majority tolerates the intolerance of minorities. One minority can have monopoly over violence, cause riots, ask majority to not enter their area, and also have privilege of converting the majority and can dictate to the majority what should and shouldn't be taught in school. Can you imagine any minority having such power in a monotheistic society eg U.S.A, Europe,Pakistan, Middle East. No they will be kicked out but because of pluralism some radical sections of minorities which act in undemocratic ways and intolerant of every other view get away with their intolerance because of democracy and tolerant majority.

Wokism is a new ideology that has captured the minds of Americans today. Staying woke means being aware of the social and racial injustices in society. Wokism which started with the ‘Black lives Matter’ movement in 2014, has today spread like wildfire in different parts of the world to the extent that Wokism is termed as the new religion by social scientists. Douglous Murray in ‘The Madness of Crowds- Gender, Race and Identity’ said that today liberalism has taken a new social character of Wokism. It is a new metaphysics. It is a new religion where people believe they are at the barricades and society has been unjust with them. They want to demonstrate this new culture and for this, they need to find new enemies. For wokes, who are mostly the underperforming people in the society, they target the people who have achieved something in life. The wokes feel the society should look after their well being. Being Woke is nothing but being an underperformer and celebrating your trauma and demanding society to go your way because you have faced trauma.
The Woke ideology however idiotic it may sound has become a major discourse in the Western world & is also trying to capture the minds of Indians. Wokism, just like communism or fascism is a radical ideology that does not believe in dissent. You cannot counter the woke ideology with logic, because wokes believe they are the only ones who understand the society and others being not woke enough do not have the right to speak or give a counter. Wokism gives people a free pass to cancel people who do not believe in their ideology. It has given rise to the new cancel culture around the world. Wokism is nothing but an intellectual pogrom that is systematically wiping out logic from academics. This ideology has led to an increasingly intolerant world, where one wrong statement can destroy people’s whole lives and careers.
Tracing back the ideology of Wokism, its roots can be found in cultural Marxism. Wokism has given a new life to the dormant ideology of Marxism that has cloaked itself as Wokism. It has led to new segregation of the society by the Marxists. Earlier Marxism had classified society into different classes. In Wokism, the base ideology is kept similar to Marxism which gives Dialectics of classes, but it has just transformed the classes from Proletariat and bourgeoisie to different forms. Wokism is Marxism aproned in a new form where the proletariats are transformed to minorities, LGBTQ’s and refugees. The woke social justice talks about the justice that is exclusivist, fascist, seeks no dissent, seeks ideological purity, but it does this under the name of compassion. They bully people and this compassion legitimizes their bullying. For being woke you need to be anti-racist, which is fair, but it also means you have to be on the side of the races that have faced historical injustices, even if it means someone has done something wrong in the present. However, the fun fact is, it is exactly the opposite in India’s case. In India, Hindus have faced historical injustices through centuries of foreign rule, but the Woke ideology in India sides with the oppressors and today goes on to blame the historical victims, the Hindus.
The idea of Wokism is quite clear, it is being constantly angry and desperate to search for injustice. The injustice might be a reality or a fiction but one must search for injustice and fight for justice. In this fight for justice, if someone opposes their idea, they will simply be termed as their next enemy and an online mob of the woke Kabal will start lynching you, and your career will be torched down by creating pressure on your company.
The funny fact of Wokism is there is a statue of Greta Thunberg (the girl who did not go to school) at the Winchester University. Greta Thunberg has become a symbol of climate activism, she also started a campaign for creating awareness about the dangers of climate change. However, it is ironic to see that the same Greta sided with the farmers’ protests which essentially demanded repealing the law on stubble burning, the same stubble burning which chokes Northern India for months. This brilliant girl called these laws anti-environment, even though they essentially aimed at reducing pollution. But as the constitution of wokeness goes, if you ask her what she is protesting for? You’ll be termed as a climate change denier.
THIS NEW RELIGION OF WOKENESS IS THE MOST THREATENING IDEA OF MODERN TIMES. OTHER IDEOLOGIES LIMITED THEIR SPACE TO THE YOUTH, BUT WOKISM IS TRYING TO SUBSCRIBE MINORS TO THIS THEORY, MAKING THEM POLITICALLY HYPERACTIVE WITHOUT ANY KNOWLEDGE OF POLITICS. IF YOU TRAIN A 10YR OLD THAT HE/SHE KNOWS THE ULTIMATE TRUTH AND EVERYONE DISAGREEING WITH HIS VIEWS IS AN ENEMY OF HUMANITY, HE WILL START LYNCHING OTHERS ON SOCIAL MEDIA AND LABEL EVERYONE AS ISLAMOPHOBIC, ANTI-BLACK, TROLL OR A SANGHI.
Woke people sell this Utopia to kids and convince them that- you can bring in a revolution by just getting rid of your bra. The revolution can be brought through campaigns like ‘ Free the nipple’. Why do women need to wear a bra while men can appear shirtless? A bra is a symbol of patriarchy and you need to get rid of it to change the society. However, like all other Marxist thoughts, wokeness is also ideological. Woke people come out in open and be very much vocal when it comes to Hindu women’s rights. They want to say that wearing ripped jeans is the right of women which is very logical. But the same wokes suppress the rights of Muslim women saying that wearing a Burqa is freedom of religion. While the wokes justify individual freedom of Hindu women, they suppress the same of Muslim women under the context of the religious right. While the wokes want to come out in open to smash the Brahmanical patriarchy, they promote the Ashrafi patriarchy by opposing laws like Triple Talaaq that liberate women from the clutches of male supremacists. Wokeness has special hatred against Hinduism because Hinduism is an anti-thesis to Woke culture. Hindus have been systematically persecuted and have been victims of historical injustice for almost past 1000 years, but still don’t play the victim card like the wokes. Wokism hates Hinduism, because they can’t claim persecution narrative. After all, Hinduism is a tolerant religion, accepting every idea, which will be the synthesis of the dialectics with Wokism.
In conclusion, to understand Wokism, a person must know Quantum technology. Because similar to quantum technology, being woke is like being in superposition. There is no absolute right or absolute wrong morality. If you agree with wokes, you’re right, if you don’t you’re wrong. There will be people supporting a big man with male genitalia identifying himself as a woman, lifting weight in a woman’s championship and the Wokes will support him. In case someone like Tulsi Gabbard comes forward and says “Women sports should be reserved for Biological women”, there would an online mob lynching her for her conservative views.
The woke ideology and the phenomena of Wokeness is a religious worldview without any redemption. It is a social disease that has normalized underperformance and failures. It is important to speak for social justice. It is important to speak against racial discrimination. But it doesn’t mean that you should always speak for the historical victims even if they are at fault in the present. We should speak for justice, but we should not be biased in doing so. If we’re eager to cover Akhlaq, we should also enrage over Kamlesh Tiwari. We should focus on becoming ‘Jagruk’ rather than being Woke.

Wokeness is why conservatives are increasing their presence. Therefore, one could argue that conservatives never will actually aim to completely crush the woke ideology, as it won't give them the traction they have.

    • @ungabunga2
      @ungabunga2 ปีที่แล้ว

Also, I have a question -: Let's take the example of ChatGPT.
1)Many conservatives have targeted the AI for being biased , in vague ; Woke.
      2) Why haven't conservatives developed an AI to counter this clear cut offensive by the other side?
Is it because being liberal is tied to higher inherent intelligence? Why are sectors like AI and education in the US dominated by "wokes", but conservatives dominate jobs which require less intellectual thought- Agriculture, Border patrol, etc.
A clear intellectual divide is present.

@@ungabunga2 With the so-called ‘intellectual-wokes’ controlling and setting the narrative discourse run in our country, it sets a dangerous precedent and needs to be stopped, immediately.
Unfortunately, the Woke culture has permeated the Indian culture, and is negatively affecting the upcoming generations, =this is indeed a sad fact. While the recent incident in which Indian cricketers ‘took the knee’ in support of black lives exemplified how ‘woke culture’ has spread, this initiative was never taken by the woke celebrities in opposition to the injustice meted out to Hindus in India under the guise of religious extremism, a tragic reality. What happened on the cricket grounds was brought up by conservative British writer like Douglas Murray and Australian commentator Andrew Bolt, when they said, “But what about the caste system?”, this was a sad affliction on our accepted ‘woke culture’.
IT’S TIME TO FACE REALITY: HINDU LIVES DON’T MATTER BECAUSE WHO CARES ABOUT HINDUS FACING SURVIVAL THREATS IN BANGLADESH, AFGHANISTAN AND PAKISTAN? HINDUS ARE IMPORTANT ONLY WHEN IT COMES TO EXPLOITING BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES AND EARNING MILLIONS. SAD IS HOW MANY ‘WOKE LIBERALS’ ARE HINDU AND THEY DO NOT HIGHLIGHT THE PLIGHT OF HINDUS IN THE WORLD. HINDU LIVES DO NOT MATTER, AND THEIR VOICES HAVE NEVER BEEN HEARD, AND THAT IS A SAD REALITY BECAUSE WHO WILL SPEAK UP FOR THE KASHMIRI HINDUS, WHO SUFFERED IN THEIR OWN LAND?
This bitter desire to exterminate Hindus and Hinduism as a culture is not only sinister but has crossed the limits of humanity. In a student magazine published at a University in California, a picture of a flaming out Diya was included, commanding students to boycott Diwali. This was a direct attack on our rituals and customs, since flaming out Diyas are recognized as symbols of death and inauspiciousness in our culture. This is the same USA that harps day and night about fighting racism. However, no one dares raise their voices against Hindu Genocide occurring in Muslim majority countries like Bangladesh, Pakistan, etc. However, the West, or more specifically the flag-bearers of ‘liberalism’, the Americans, didn’t care about the natives or Red Indians, so what kind of concern should we expect from them?
These cruel behaviors are rooted in the same history of religious bigotry and racism that so-called woke culturalists claim to oppose. The discrepancy between Truth and logic propagated by the ‘cultural-wokes‘ isn’t a novel phenomenon. Hard-line Islamists and Christians supremacists have always targeted Hindus, a list to which the cultural wokes have now been added. One of the biggest concerns is that symptoms of ‘Hinduphobia’ are understood, but the underlying causes of the issue are rarely understood, and this has enabled Cultural Marxists to penetrate uncorrupted spaces of the corporate world. The unfortunate spread of Cultural Marxism within the corporate world totally contradicts the concept of corporatization. This is because the latter focus on making profits and products, and social justice does not fall under the ambit of capitalism, per se.
In addition to afflicting corporate culture, woke academicians are now targeting youth and children. This is because it’s easier to shape their minds to fit their beliefs rather than adults. As for the so-called wokes, it is sad that they are targeting children to further and perpetuate their nefarious objectives, and we can all see the unfortunate results. The current generation is influenced by the so-called ‘open and modern’ films, songs, and TV content, that air on multiple OTT platforms. This is reflected in the way the majority of these children are behaving in real life. This cultural misappropriation isn’t limited to various modes of entertainment but has also spread to academics. By sharing expropriated knowledge, we are damaging the ancient wisdom of our Bharat Varsha. Woke academicians are using books as a medium to teach racism, sexism, and any other ultra-modern concepts to children in a fashionable format to channel and mould their thinking in a said fashion.
“Wokeness” is a post-modernism trend, which is destructive, malevolent, troublesome, and a restrictive ideology, contrary to how it is promoted. Every free democratic society in the world is falling into its vicious trap because it promotes freedom of thought and speech under the guise of promoting freedom. Due to the institutional grip it is tightening on India’s academic, political, and cultural systems through the academic route, the challenge posed by these ‘neo-modernists’ must be addressed head-on and quickly. Politically woke culture isn’t only about being sensitive to the never-ending groups of people. Powered by malicious intentions, it is armed with weapons capable of destroying nationhood and pre-existing cultures long before the neo-Marxist paradigm, precisely which led to the Soviet Gorgon mutation and the rebirth of China’s Capitalist Totalitarian regime today.
With the intent of using ‘political correctness’ as a tool for yielding soft-power, the neo-Marxists have begun silencing the voice of the people, because they wish to supplant indigenous cultural and political paradigms by substituting their narrative of gender, equality, racism, and religious tolerance. The neo-Marxists crafted their strategies to counter the so-called ‘historical injustices,’ but their main objective is to undermine people’s rights to speech, thoughts, expressions, their ability to resist and organize, all this so that they can gain power over others. In reality, these free speech propagators create an illusion of political correctness but ultimately aim to control our freedom of speech and therefore our public discourse narratives. We are living in an unfortunate time that, in the land of Bhagwat Geeta, Arthashastra, Shanti Parva, et al freedom of speech, resistance, and cross-questioning were always affirmed and promoted as means for seeking truth to power but today people are being taught to speak in a particular way and tow a set line as our thoughts are channeled and filtered.
In addition to being infringing on our rights, this notion of regulated speech also strikes against the very essence and ethos of Indian value systems. While the Neo-Marxists have created an intense environment of hate and intolerance, where even if one raises their voice about being offended, others will come running with their own ‘self-generated’ concerns and false accusations of creating hostile spaces and an inhospitable environment, without bothering to scrutinize either their claims or their sources. This ‘woke-left’ movement has so corroded the intellectual ability to think and interpret that questioning reasoning is beyond humanity. This attack on our subconscious level by these people is damaging the healthy functioning of our modern-age societies and we aren’t doing justice to our great and rich cultural heritage, by blindly aping them. Just imagine what these woke-minded people would have said when Shree Krishna told Arjuna to uphold his Kshatriya Dharma and to be a warrior during the Mahabharata - there would have been an outburst over promoting ‘casteism’!
It is high time that people learn of the potential danger posed by these free-speech advocates because there is no such thing as a free lunch. Anything and everything has a cost, and here the cost is way too high. It has inhibited our right to unfettered and uncritical speech and thought, and this harms and threatens not only ourselves but also our society.

The Christian world is different from the Hindu world, but now the Hindu right is siding with the Christian right thus choosing the path of intoleration. Transgender and intersex persons can be accommodated in women sports by doing proper research and fixing some upper limit of measurement on individuals. An expert body may be able to deliberate on the issue of transgender without targeting a vulnerable community. It is unfortunate that the Hindu now enjoying the company of the western world.

While I understand that you have concerns about "Wokism" and its impact on society, I'd like to provide a counter perspective. Wokism, or the ideology of being "woke," is not a new religion or an intellectual pogrom as you describe it. It is an awareness of social and racial injustices that aims to bring about positive change.
Your characterization of wokes as underperforming individuals who target successful people is an oversimplification. Wokism encompasses a diverse range of individuals who seek equality and justice, including activists, scholars, and everyday people who recognize the need for progress.
Labeling Wokism as a radical ideology akin to communism or fascism is misleading. Wokism promotes social justice and inclusivity, urging society to address historical injustices and work towards a fairer future. It does not seek to suppress dissent, but rather encourages open dialogue and understanding.
While you attribute Wokism to cultural Marxism, it is important to recognize that Wokism is not a direct extension of Marxism. It focuses on issues of race, gender, and identity, aiming to rectify historical imbalances and empower marginalized communities.
Your assertion that Wokism creates an intolerant world and fuels cancel culture is a generalization. While there have been instances of excessive online outrage, it is not representative of the entire movement. Wokism has also fostered important conversations and pushed for accountability in areas such as systemic racism and discrimination.
It is crucial to distinguish between genuine social justice advocacy and individual actions or statements that may be misguided or misinterpreted. It is unfair to dismiss the entire movement based on the actions of a few individuals.
Finally, the notion that Wokism promotes underperformance and failure is unfounded. Wokism encourages people to speak up against injustices and work towards a more equitable society. It is not about victimhood but about recognizing and rectifying historical inequalities.
In conclusion, while Wokism is not without its flaws or instances of overzealousness, it is a movement that seeks to address social and racial injustices. It is essential to engage in nuanced discussions and avoid painting broad strokes when analyzing complex ideologies and their impact on society.

Green is Hindu. Girls wear green bangles during marriage and baby shower in Karnataka. Also, in any event or auspicious occassion if elders gift women sarees, they are usually green in color. It symbolizes shakti and fertility. Sai Deepak, bless him, brought this out by using the color on his book cover.

Wonderful podcast and the guests were excellent. The only point I differ is on the comment about San Francisco. It’s not just one street. The entire city has become an open defecation toilet and the sidewalks are filled with tents. Except the extreme rich neighborhoods where they have their own means to keep away the homeless population, the rest of the city is filled with homeless. Just this month, May, 3 major premium brands have closed their stores and in the last 2 years many businesses have left the city. The parks are filled with open needles. It’s not safe for kids or pets. So, whatever is being shown/said about SFO is 100% true. It’s not a problem in one street or one neighborhood. I live 30 mins from the city and travel there frequently

Nice discussion. I was impressed with Hindol's views differing with Kushal in a very calm but forceful arguments delivered in a nice calibrated manner. I do watch Kushal Mehra's podcasts and find them interesting too. The caste divide is an issue in India mostly due to reservations being on caste lines, currently. I feel that marrying within communities is less of an issue and inter-caste marriages is not the only solution for removing equations from our society. I feel that issue will dissipate slowly once we replace reservations on caste/religion basis to economic criterion. That is not going to happen in our life times until Supreme Court has judges with guts to rule so since no popular govts can take that decision given after the manner in which BJP was criticized for EWS quota. If we can actually do away with all quotas by growing our economy sufficiently to accommodate the growing workforce, then there is nothing like that. But freebies and reservations have very often won political parties elections. So they will never stop bribing the people to get elected. Education can change mindset but nobody wants to change the curriculum as well. We will end like Pakistan if we dont speak the truth to our people and that we should guard against that impulse to lie to ourselves.

We Indians have not been able to overcome our colonial past even after 75 years of independence. How tragic is that!!!
But the real sorry state of affairs is when some Indians themselves take great pain to pose as stumbling blocks for personalities such as Hindol Sen Gupta and Kushal Mehra and their work or opinions are not allowed to have discourse in their own country. How ironical it is these people are told to refer to the Western narrative of our Indian civilization or our struggle for freedom. It is definitely high time we Indians made sure our academics who are doing thorough and extensive study of our religion, philosophy, history are heard and true facts come out. Our new generation must be presented History, Philosophy of India not through the prism of Western civilization.
