    In this video I get my 110 cc pit bike ready to handover to a new owner
    in order to get the highest price possible for it I tear bike down and re-sprayed the frame and engine
    I’ve now sold the bike for £290 and made £107 profit I hope to get a Japanese bike soon

      Jay king it’s pretty much the same as the other Chinese pit bikes you can buy them new for quite cheap and you have a lot of fun on it and maintance is easy to keep up with because it’s 4 stroke and air cooled but if you want good reliability I recommend a Japanese pit bike like a Honda Yamaha Suzuki or Kawasaki if you don’t mind fixing a few bits every now and then and your not looking for to much power I’d go for it.

      Bikelife Thetford I’d recommend getting a good socket set if you don’t have one and do some research before you try something like cleaning a carb or bleeding a brake so that you don’t make any mistakes

    I’ve got a problem with mine where I go to kick start it and if I kick to fast it slips so I have to go slow it’s something on the inside of the bike can you help

    • @motomanic1271
      @motomanic1271  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Joshua Richardson that’s a big problem your kick start gear is starting to strip. Unless you’re willing to split the cases and replace the Gear there’s not much you can do but I would recommend changing the oil as the small metal bits Brocken off your kick start can damage the rest of the engine. Some pit bikes have a hole where you can fit an electric starter the kick start is only going to get worse so you should fit electric start

    • @miketherider3153
      @miketherider3153 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also there is a pin in the case where the kickstart is it might be that you should replace the pin it happens to me and I replaced the pin and it works perfect now

    • @bonniejordan2821
      @bonniejordan2821 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s something slipping inside if I kick to hard it feels like it’s got grabbing anything also I noticed it’s got electric start but since I bought it second hand they have ripped some wires out where the key was so even if I connect a battery the start button does nothing

    • @dmmotovlogs2225
      @dmmotovlogs2225 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Make sure your kick start lever isn't stripped on the outside of the engine before you go into the bottom end

    • @motomanic1271
      @motomanic1271  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      KFC Represent try facebook market place , gumtree or eBay for used ones I have no idea where to buy new ones

    • @spud4010
      @spud4010 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Moto Manic thanks for replying so fast and yea iv never ridden pit bikes before iv done motorised Ike’s but that’s about it so iv beeen looking for 2nd hand pitbikes on the market do u recommend a size like is 125cc the best option I’m 5,9 and I’m 16 but I really just wonna smaller bike to rip around on and also what should I be looking out for when buying 2nd hand is there things that I should look out for to warn me not to but the bike sorry this was so long

    • @motomanic1271
      @motomanic1271  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      KFC Represent yeah a 110 or 125 or the cheapest ones but still have plenty of power. I’d recommend getting a big wheel one like mine if your 5,9. There good bikes to learn gears. Check how much tread is left on the tires
      the colour of the oil and the condition of air filter. The oil and filter will show you how well the bikes been maintained. dark oil with small shinny metal shavings usually means the bike hasn’t been maintained well and will need a rebuild soon. Make sure there’s no strange noises while it idles also feel the exhaust to make sure the owner hasn’t warm it up as bikes are a lot harder to start cold if they are tuned incorrectly and when an engine is warm bad noises can go away

    • @spud4010
      @spud4010 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Moto Manic thanks so much man I will remember this when going to buy one your are such a great help thanks so much and just regarding the owner warming up the engine before I get there if I do find it being warm what should I do or say about it thanks for all the tips they all mean so much to me as iv never done anything like this yet and I’m looking forward to getting my first bike and learning gears

    • @motomanic1271
      @motomanic1271  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      KFC Represent Before coming ask him to not warm it up if for whatever reason it is warmed up use it to negotiate also you can check if the air filter is wet. If it is he may have sprayed some starting fluid to get it to start easier then it normally would
      Glad to help I hope you find a good bike and feel free to ask any other questions
