I put it in salad dressing and pasta sauce too. It’s flavorless but intensifies the taste of whatever Its mixed into. It makes OMAD sooo much easier than I thought it would be.
Im currently on keto and I bought konjac noodles. Oh my god I feel so full and now I feel guilt free cause the two servings of noodles I ate was only 9 calories each. The bulk of my calories came from my home style meatballs and savory truffle tomato sauce. 👁️👄👁️ I am blown away. This meal was so satisfying and filling and it was only Round 300 calories.

That's what I'd like to know, too. I watched a Chinese woman make it also, and she added some sort of powder and indicated in Chinese writing which I don't know. So obviously it is an essential ingredient for the gel.
The first person who tried it probably said "owwww" because without proper boiling and preparation, all the plant's tissues are full of raphides - microscopic crystals of calcium oxylate that pierce the mouth and throat tissues and cause extreme irritation and swelling. Maybe you've heard of the Dieffenbachia/dumbcane plant? It's in the same family...

Raw konjac is poisonous and needs to be cooked for hours to make it safe. The white substance is alkaline, may be picking lime. It was most likely cooked and cooked again also because it swells so much and might be a problem if it swells too much in the stomach, so im guessing that by swelling it to capacity it makes eating it safe. Its an amazing process.
