OMG!! So happy to find this 35 years later!!!!! I was 16 and there at MSG for that concert!!!!!! What awesome memories of Duran Duran and the 80s!!!!!!!
Those were the days!! I remember screaming at every Duran Duran concert so loud for the entire show , I’d have no voice for days. They don’t make concerts the way they used to. It was like an awesome chaotic frenzy!
Killer recording! aw them here in Dallas a while ago, and still am amazed how they come along. Best concert ever, and I have seen just about everybody live in my 64 years off life, Girls on Film!!!!!!
I still have the original entire concert from this broadcast on casset as my sister recorded it in 1984. Its a pretty impressive performance to say the least .
@Mel Phillips I believe it to be either the gig on March 19th 1984 at Madison Square Gardens or the following one - March 21, 1984 - Madison Square Gardens (which was broadcast on FM) - I think it might be the latter. I believe there was an official release of one of the live concerts but of course it's quite possible both concerts are out there - ready to be transferred to cassette
Listening to this still brings me back to that time! I was there on the 19th at MSG. We were so innocent just screaming our freakin hearts out! We had no idea what was really going on with their partying life but my God did we love them and their music!! 💖💖💖💖💖
I was there on the 19th.. at 13 yrs old yes.. we were completely losing it!! Lol!! My Gosh did we love them! Still do!! I always wondered what happen to that DJ.
This is awesome..like going back in a time capsule!! And what was up with Simon and his fake cockney accent?! I wonder if he was trying to lose his would-be thespian/ middle- class, Pinner boy accent!
John and Andy worked those bass and guitar strings honestly as good as any other duo together ever

I recorded the same broadcast but don't have the original. I purchased the cd version about 6-7 years ago.

At 10:57 does John start playing the Batman theme on bass?
