I absolutely love how open minded these tribal people are to music they never heard before!!!!!!
Yes, they are very smart. 🙂
Yes they always see the meaning. Hi Paul didn't expect to run into you here . Be well amigo .
@@txrick4879 same!
I wonder do they like the music
They're paid to be open. They're Muslims. They don't listen to music. It's Haram
Tribal people seems to have a deep understanding just by observance. Wise men indeed.
They have time to be human beings instead of drones.
Just don't fall for the noble savage mythology and look at each person individually.
I suspect anyone open-minded enough to sit down for an interview to be published on the internet/TH-cam is going to be open-minded enough to listen to music they haven't heard before.
in every society there are open minded and close minded people
Wise men? I don't know. I'm not so sure about that. No radicalism is good, just as too much enlightened progressivism that generates leftist aberrations is also not good. Everything is good within a balance.
The moment he has waited for is deliverance. Freedom from a western woman's wiles.
The dear old man Abdul was concentrating so hard, wanting to absorb every note and word.
God bless them all.
I was thinking the same thing, he seemed mesmerized.
to me it seemed like He was watching a Demon He was frozen.
They could have put a still in the bottom corner, he was motionless
I felt the same way. I liked his look. I bet he has interesting stories to tell in life. Looks like a sweet man.
The oldest gentleman with the beard has such a beautiful soul!!❤❤
Abdul's insights into these performances always seem to hit the core meaning of the message of these songs. Even when he does not understand the language, he still seems to feel the human emotion behind it.
And he was spot on stating Phil was a musician before he was a singer. Exactly as it happened. Peter Gabriel left Genesis, Phil stepped up and started singing as well. Abdul never ceases to amaze me.
I’m convinced that Abdul is one of the most kind and wise people I’ve ever seen in my life. I wish I could meet him.
This song transends generations and cultures.
Abdul is the man!!
one of the wonderful things about music is its ability to transcend languages
He said it is more a musician than a singer... wise and lovely man.
Yes. Phil Collins is a wizard. He couldn't write a bad song to save his life.
They all were bad. I thank the radio gods his star fell. Finally.
@Robert-n4f2z At least he still has a rent free place to live
@Robert-n4f2z in your opinion you mean, as music is subjective, you can't assume everyone else with ears think "they all were bad"... 🤡
@@Robert-n4f2z What do you think is good?
@@Robert-n4f2z
Pftt🤭you have terrible taste, sir😂
I love that they use words like “awesome” and “amazing”, but the best line is “I want to listen to it forever” ❤
Abdul has great perception and insight when he says, " I think he must have had a lot of worries in life. Illness comes either when you worry or think too much." "...he undoubtedly had more inner wounds than outer ones." God bless you all at Trybals.🙏
That was so powerful, and his deliverance of these wise words is also pure poetry.
Yes. That got me as well.
🙏
Bro was talking about me, very deep… didn’t expect to get that from an 80’s music reaction video!
I'd love Phil to watch this
"I felt like my heart was blooming," said the man.
The widom, peace, honesty, and insight offered here is priceless.
Honor and thanks are due.
Subscribed.
Music can touch the heart
I’ve grown very fond of these gentlemen and admire their insight into humanity.
Thank you.
When I watch these familiar videos "in the company" of the tribal people, I hear the music through new ears. Goosebumps.
If every human on this planet would be that open minded like you Sir's..the world would be a very peaceful place
People usually are open minded, alone. When pressured they tend to go with the larger crowd.
Get rid of the government and media and watch it unfold.
Abd means slave.
The name means slave of god.
Really?
How fabulous to hear these wise men tell their observations on western musical 🎶 culture , brilliant! Really, brilliant! 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
💯
I've watched a few of these Tribal videos now. Can I assume that Abdul is a tribal elder? He sits there nodding quietly then comes out with the most sage insightful comments. It's a joy to watch.
It's crazy how he knew he was a drummer. Like Wow. When do I get to be that wise?
A tribal Baluchi elder.
Show them Rush’s The Garden official video please. They will enjoy it. So will you fellow TH-cam dwellers!
@@ionizer24or show them the Metallica Russia video with people as far as the eye can see.
Absolutely insane visuals to show how powerful music can be.
How about. BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY. Surely that would stir them up. I would love to hear their opinion of that song.
The open mindedness, sympathy and analysis across cultures in this and other reactions by this team are really special. Please know that you are all sincerely appreciated for doing this. It gives hope that there can be peace on earth. Thank you.
It always surprises me how accurate Abdul is in his analysis of a song without knowing the lyrics just by using the music and the performance by the artist.
I fking love Abdul's posture and whole demeanor when he's watching, he's just 100% locked in.
Abdul is very wise to know so much just by reading Phil’s face/eyes and understanding the meaning in the music. I admire that 😀
I wish I spoke the language, I'd love to sit down with Mr. Abdul for an hour or two and ask him things and get just a little of that man's wisdom.
This is what we are missing - respect for elders instead of disregard. Abdul is intelligent, insightful, wise and simply amazing!
🙏♥️🙏♥️🙏
G'day from Australia 🇦🇺 I love how these tribal men understand exactly what the song is about without understanding English 😊 It just shows that music is a universal language ❤
I'm not even there in person and I don't know them, but they feel like they are my Grandpas, they are so wise.
Love and peace have no colour or language
I love how they sat and listened with open minds without prejudice
Abdul just amazes me. His perception of what is going on is usually right on. 😊
I love to hear these lovely peaceful minded people express how they see & hear music. Thank you all.
*If anyone thinks the size of this crowd is impressive, in July 1987 Phil played four consecutive sellout nights at the 80,000-capacity Wembley Stadium with Genesis. It was a record at the time and stood for five years until Michael Jackson played seven nights. In 1986/1987 Genesis were likely the biggest musical act on the planet, as in addition to the four nights at Wembley their 1986 album 'Invisible Touch' went to No.1 in the US and spawned a remarkable five Top 5 US singles. This of course was also in the midst of Phil's incredible solo success.*
I like think twice
All these years I thought Collins was saying "hold on". I learned something new!
It amuses me to no end, that I used to listen to songs without actually understanding much of the lyrics well into my twenties, as a non native speaker. I was a teen in the 90's, when 'looking things up' wasn't as easy and convenient a task as it is today. We just hummed along, repeated whatever we did understand and somehow the music still worked really well for us.
I love hearing what Abdul has to say. He's open minded, non-judgemental, and appreciative of music and poetry. No disrespect to anyone else, of course. I just have a soft spot for Abdul. 😊🎉
Muharam's reaction at 11:30 when the drum solo kicks in is priceless. I've listened to this song countless times since it came out and still can't help but moving along when Phil starts banging on those drums.
Phil's drumming with Peter Gabriel singing in Genesis is the finest music I've ever heard.
One of the most exquisite performances ever, Phil Collins will never be surpassed.
"Wait for it" Excellent suggestion. It's so unusual to drop the beat half way through the piece. It changes the whole tone in an instant. Thanks for sharing this one.
No matter the song or who is singing or what language Abdul. Just gets it everytime. ❤what a man ❤❤❤
Sending Phil Collins Peace, Love and Good Vibes. 🥁✌🏼💙🦉
He’s an icon…
He is a gem
The reaction from these awesome men when the beat dropped gives me life!😊
I have watched In The Air tonight and hear it on the radio over 100 times and no matter how many times I watch it or hear it, the moment Phil plays drums, I get chills and good bumps all over. I am glad everyone loved and seeing their reaction was priceless. Love and blessings to you all.
Major chill bumps EVERY time, many times
You’d get more chills than u could imagine if you knew the true meaning of the lyrics…
I find, no matter how many times I watch this performance, I am holding my breath at the end. I don't realize that until the very end, when Phil releases the pressure and I can breath again! Amazing. (and such breath control Collins has to make it all seem so effortless)
I too have heard it countess times but this is the first time I've noticed just how much it sounds like Peter Gabriel!
It's one of the best if not the best drum fill ever.
These three men are amazing and so insightful. They put into words exactly what they feel about performances. Wonderful commentary,
Abdul is so incredibly wise. I always love listening to what he has to say. Thank you SO MUCH for the English subtitles so that we can understand what they are saying! Sending love from South Africa!
Same from Germany! They all are like pure jewels of empathy and wisdom.
Wise like the wizards he believes in? 🤣🤣🙄 They're all pretty simplistic in thoughts.
From Pretoria East
I can't love these reaction videos enough. These are the most beautiful people ever.
We all need an Abdul in our life.
Yes!!!!
Phil is da man!. The best drummer, musician and singer the world has seen. I grew up to his music, We are both old now and suffering with old age pains
Such intelligent, clear analysis. Better than reams and reams of rock journalist outputs.
I so enjoy hearing the brothers insights about western music. Truly the universal language.
Abdul is always such a wise and thoughtful at his analyses. I really like his focus at the various aspects on his reactions.
His eyes are piercing and penetrating….
"something is in the air tonight" means that you have a sense of impending doom. When he sang "coming in the air tonight" he means that the doom is imminent, he can feel it.
Divorce papers!
Alimony in the air tonight!
This was an excellent choice of a song. It's unique, even in the context of the time it was released. These gentlemen had good insights on what they observed while listening. Good stuff.
When good music crosses and transcends borders and cultures 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Abdul has a musical soul….hears and sees the notes. I so appreciate your videos! Thank you all ❤️🙏🏼
I just LOVE watching our Brothers and Sisters from around this beautiful World!!🥰
One of my favourite songs ever… still gives me goosebumps ❤❤❤❤
This reaction is absolutely fantastic..breaking down barriers..I could cry watching these men. This is my absolute favourite reaction! Number 1.☮️❣️🇬🇧
Music has no boundarys with people no matter what religion or creed.
True.
Music and food are two of the primitive universal elements of the human condition.
The things that are universal food, music, art, community, it's what makes us human and brings us together
The old man is really a deep thinker, and very observant.
You all appreciated a true legend! Life/time has not been kind to him physically, BUT HE HAS given us some if the GREATEST music from the 80s! His live performances with Eric Clapton would be worth looking at! God Bless ✝️🙏🏻
How wonderful to see different cultures react to one of the the greatest musicians (in the West) ever. Their interpretation and understanding of the song shows deep empathy and insight.
🙏🏼 I am so grateful for Abdul‘s words, his wisdom and insight🙏🏼
Fun fact, the old man with the long hair and beard playing the bass guitar is the absolute bass legend Lee Sklar. He's one of the most recorded humans in history and is an absolute badass.
I love these reactions. So open minded and appreciative of what they are listening to. Abdul is a very wise man.
I’ve listened to this song for so many years and through these beautiful souls I feel I’m hearing it for the first time. I have tears streaming down my face
I just love to see people hear this song for the first time.. it is an incredible song.. and that moment when he comes in with the drums. Brilliant reaction from a surprisingly open minded group of guys.
Have followed your channel for a long time. I would love to meet these tribal people. They are amazing. Respect and much love . ❤️🇺🇸
Love the intensity Abdul gives to what he is watching. And to hit the nail on the head about phil and drumming, how did you guess that? Its not often i watch stuff like this but i absolutely love your reactions.
You are such wise and humble people. Thanks for sharing your precious time and thoughts!!! Congratulations and regards from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil!!!
I saw Phil Collins in concert many years ago...and it was one of thee most fantastic concerts I had ever seen! I am so glad you all were able to experience his incredible music. As the gentlemen were reacting to what they were hearing and seeing, it actually brought tears to my eyes. Music is the bridge that allows us all to be as one! ❤
One song that I KNOW that they would love is Eva Cassidy singing 'Fields of Gold'. They will be in _tears_ from the beauty of it.
This is such a great introduction to all things Genesis and Phil Collins. You can't go wrong with the music!!
Brilliant, 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼, doesn't matter about your colour, age, religion, everybody appreciates a good song/tune when they hear it, Phil Collins was a legendary drummer and vocalist,
I got to see Phil with Genesis twice on their Mama tour. Phil was an incredible showman, has a wonderful sense of humor, he was a great front man and vocalist and an astonishing drummer. His drums have a familiar "bark" and you could always tell when Phil was playing on a song on the radio in the 80s. He's 1 of 1.
Phil is now around 72 years old. He suffered nerve damage from spinal surgeries, now walks with a cane and is unable to hold a drumstick, sadly. This song was one of his band's (Genesis) greatest hits, but he put out a lot of wonderful music. Glad you enjoyed him!!
This was his solo song, not Genesis
Wow!!! I was literally watching this performance this morning!
I am always humbled to see someone enjoy new music/ experiences… especially from a culture I have little knowledge of. Thank all of you for sharing this!!!
So good to hear other people's take on music, especially from different cultures, music holds no boundaries.👍👍✔️✔️
The most iconic divorce song on the planet! Love watching people react to this performance! Such a mesmerizing experience! Your insight is spot on! Phil has a wonderful catalog of great music!😎✌🏻
Its amazing that Phil Collins is the only musician to play in the same concert in two different continents. He started the Live Aid concert in London then flew on Concorde to the US a d took part in the same worldwide concert tnere.
And boy, did he get grief for that, people called him all sorts of names.
That was cool that he did that
Wow, I've been watching a lot of reactions on both this and Adnan's private channel and generally like them a lot (that's why I'm coming back...) - this was a special one, please give my kindest regards to your guests, they are amazing people! Peace and love from Bavaria!
Greatings, thank you :-)
We all need an Abdul in our life.
They've given me a whole new appreciation of this song, and I already loved it.
I am so glad you played this song! I love it! The surprising sudden drum playing is epic! Thank you for sharing this one! I could watch this song forever!
He has said in interviews that he wrote this song while going through a divorce.
3:22, when Leland Sklar's face slides across the shot.... SUCH cool!
Hope this channel continues to grow. You have a wonderful group of people here.
Bless you for not telling them that he wrote it in anger due to his unfaithful wife who he was divorcing at the time.
Phil almost didn't release this legendary song to the public, because it was so personal, but I'm glad he did!
Ah, you told them about his ex-wife at the end, but were very gentle about it. Nice!
Love, hugs and great appreciation to these gentlemen, from Chicago. So enjoy this channel and the intellectual insights from the other side of the world.
I love how Abdul 12:15 just got lost in the song.. No talk, no gestures.. He is just there.. Experiencing the song with his whole..
It's really incredible how the art of great music transcends language
Id love to see these guys experience a concert like this in person.
Oh! One of my favourites! Thank you for letting me experience it again, along with your esteemed guests. 😊
They are very well dressed and look amazing. I am glad they all enjoyed it. This look into their culture was a nice bonus. Thanks!
I love this channel so much. These gentlemen are so sweet and thoughtful and very humble. I adore them❤
Music is a universal language.
I almost skipped this one! I'm so glad I didn't! I loved the editing of this one, showing all three guests together at the end. The performance of Phil Collins and his band was spectacular. What a show! What a show! I loved everything about the video they watched, everything about the guests' comments and feedback, and everything about the editing (except for the closed caption covering up the video on the lower left). Thank you so much for putting this together.
Phil is indeed a wizard of music 🎶🧙🎶
I love abdul he is so wise 🥰💖
This is one of the top 5 performances that I have seen by any artist/band live. It's amazing and how great it would have been to be in the crowd. I am glad they appreciate Phil!
i am super happy to see your success! the background and wardrobe is beautifully colorful! i love you all! real people!
Ok this one got to me with goosebumps and emotions ....
Watching these genuine tribesmen watch in awe of the performance, made me so proud to be both a Fan and be British ...
This is who we are forget all the devision there is No left or right in this moment....
I for one Thank you for sharing this with us my friend......
🙏🥃
I loved this reaction! I love seeing how other cultures, who have no idea who Phil is, respond. Thank you!
I love to see how music is so universal. They never heard it before, didn't understand what he said until it was explained, but they still felt it. Music is a powerful force no matter who you are or where you come from!
Awesome! This is my favorite live performance EVER!!! It's so chill but gets me amped up lol. Good insight, everyone! Always!
I don't remember the first time I heard this song, but it was so wonderful to watch people experience it for the first time, not knowing that the drums are coming. I'm glad everyone enjoyed it and shared their insights. My father played this song a lot when I was young. It came out a few years before I was born, but he listened to it a lot after my parents' divorce, after my mother left him for another man. I never knew what it was about until today, but now I understand why my father loved it so much at that time. Also, thank you for making the lyrics clear - I have trouble with my hearing a bit, and my whole life I thought he was saying not "Oh Lord" or even "oh love" but "hold on"! I'm glad to know the correct words finally!
Love watching your reactions. Wonderful. All the best for you all❤
Sr.Abduls words are poetry too. Thank you for allowing me to listen to him and to enjoy all of your guests and the music. No joy no pain, just pure poetry... So, when we can read faces we are wizards? Well...good to know 😉 Thank you beautiful people!❤
😆…When they said that the bass player looks just like Abdul!🤣
Leland Sklar is the bassist, a very famous performer. I'm sure both Abdul and Leland would be happy to share the comparison !!
Music, a universal language. The ordered rhythm comforts the mind, prompting it to allow the heart to lead the way, then the divine magic delights it.
