BMW business as usual. Oh no Electronics! BMW can’t Electronics. What a pity, this car has lots of it. Crap right out of the factory. If a company which develops and produces cars doesn’t have solutions for their problems, no one else will have. If you find one i8 that actually works, lucky you.
"engine noise pumped into the cabin"- puke. This thing is seriously ugly and seriously overpriced. For that kind of money I want a proper supercar with a proper engine. Who cares if it is not a hybrid, electric, whatever, it is not like those types of cars are daily drivers anyway.
Def not a supercar. I can't wait until I can get an affordable performance hybrid though.. I'm hoping when they put a new engine in the WRX STI it will be something like this.
A "fraction" of the cost of other plug in supercars...well if you consider a Tesla P85D goes for that, I guess 1/1 is still a fraction if you write it out that way.
My '11 Audi S4 is Just as fast, performs equally in handling, is probably more comfortable, is just as good looking (in my opinion), is a fun 6-speed manual, can be driven in blizzards, gets almost 30 mpg highway And is $80K cheaper than this thing! The i8 is a neat car, no doubt...but I think I'll stick to my much more practical Audi.
And I resoect your opinion. A supercar in my mind has above average bhp and is exotic like a lambo. This is morw lika an F-type Jag, more lika a sportscar, or perhaps the Audi tt Rs because that has also a backseat
#Free Gucci It's got the general shape right, but a main point of supercars is crazy power output - its torque is substantial but nothing outrageous, and the power is on the low-end of V8 truck engines. You can get a Charger with the base V8's 370 hp for under $35K and it's basically a boring family sedan. The i8 is definitely in the range of fun sports car territory, but not a supercar by any means. The Nissan GT-R is the least powerful of what I'd call a supercar at 545 hp, but it makes up for that with neck-snapping acceleration.
Something old, Something new. Something borrowed, Something BMW!
Buck Rojers! love it!😎
Too expensive for only a 1.5L, i love the looks but thats it. Id rather buy a c8

I wonder if it's possible to buy the I 8 crate engine because that would look nice in my e30
That price is way too high. There are better vehicles to pick compared to this thing.
Demy E NSX
True but there 30k now
No braking tf
"MotorWee" I see what happened there!
sub 13 1/4 miles and sub 4.5 0 - 60 ... that is fast and those numbers are supercarish if u ask me ..
911 fast

Im getting one soon
Some 'Vette owners have been getting over 30 mpg on the highway

I’ve done it in a stock C5
Reminds me a but of an audi r8.. either way this is much more interesting than that ugly i3
a supercar can fly.... this one is way too cheap thats close to that other melone shaped tesla car with the looks of a hamburger

Looks like it's shitting out a Porsche 911
The BMW i8? More like the BMW I hate!
:D
Supercar? I think not!
Why not. Is not all about speed
This right here is a fancy compter with an aftermarket stereo. A very good looking computer but not a supercar

This car is a joke.
