Here are some i8 facts I forgot to mention in the video -
BMW i8 RRP - £104,540
All electric range - 23 miles (claimed), 15/16 miles (as tested)
80% charge from home mounted wall box - 2 hours
Combined power - 362bhp (231 1.5L turbo engine, 131 electric)
Combined Torque - 420lb Ft
CO2 output - 49g/km
Efficiency - 135mpg (claimed), 50-60mpg (as tested)
0-60mph - 4.4 seconds

I saw an M2 on the road for the first time today and ohhhh myyy, I couldn't believe how good and mean they look in the flesh, the camera doesn't do them justice at all!

I only just recently managed to take the i8 for a thrash for 30 minutes. I was actually really impressed. The drama, the doors, the sound and steering feel was amazing. Massively overlooked in my opinion. My only gripe is the rear is a little over styled. But I could live with it.
I've driven one on a driving experience day and yes I was also impressed 👌
And nearly 5000 subs already Joe, the thinking man's Shmee is going to go big... :)

Hi Joe! Btw the 3-cyllinder 1.5l Turbo is based on the standard F56 MINI Cooper not the s. Love the i8, but the M2 even more (: Great video keep it up!

Good time to buy one! £70,000 and up on the used and they come in some BEAST spec! Would love one in a stealthy metallic black!

Excellent review Joe. Very interesting car the i8. Stand out looks and tech and I would love to have one for the day but but ultimately for similar money the idea of owning a Porsche 911 or Hurracan excites me more and I am not sure why that is.

Great review. Love the i8 ..I bought a 335i from Sytner High Wycombe and they were great. Just tried to buy a Mini from they and they were completely disinterested.

+Kam K Nice one man, congratulations! Most important thing is make sure she is warm before any abuse, a good 5-6 mins driving... I keep mine below 5500 for the first 1000-1200 miles. The Launch control (if you went auto) won't activate until 1200 miles. Enjoy man :-)
Review the BMW 330e M. What is that like. It's hybrid as well.
Hey Joe, how do you think these things stack up now, they're as cheap as £40k on Autotrader, newer lower miles obviously more. Starting to think they're pretty good thing
I was thinking that recently about the i8 if you go for a high mileage one with full BMW history it’s quite a bargain and a lot for your your money

+todd lithgow yeh, that may be he case, but that's irrelevant. The Porsche is the better car. i8 does nothing for me. At all. Each to their own. But if I had 100k in my pocket, I'd look at a well specced GTR or M6 or something.
Fernando Barbosa I'd be looking more for an amg gt personally but I see why some people would get the i8
