Welcome back! I'm just ahead of this on a Z3 1.9 to M52 swap and had to slide the transmission (G250) mount bar back an inch to make the motor mounts line up, thus, messing up my shift linkage. I understand that I need 325i G250 shift carrier to correct this. Interested to see an update when you get the 6cyl in and sorted.
I just got the engine and trans in the other day and I can across the same issue lol. I’ll probably end up getting a DSSR instead of sourcing a stock shift linkage.
