Thanks for another amazing tutorial, very explanaroty and worthy of my first ever comment on TH-cam.
If you want to use rechargeable batteries checkout using LiFePO4 AA batteries. You only need two plus two dummy batteries. You get the full 6 volts unlike NiMH which over four drops down to 4.8 when fully charged. One drawback is that the low battery warning does not give much time to land before the Tx runs out of power. This is because of the discharge curve characteristics.
Just received a new FS-i6S from BangGood and it came with version 2.00 software already installed (and the throttle fix!)

Sorry to tell you that but I have the latest firmware on my i6s and there is no dual rate on this transmitter only rate and expo,wish that in the future they will come with an update for dual rates
I'm pretty sure we could just get a separate voltmeter/alarm to tell us when it's low. But yeah LiFePo4 seems like the best battery chemistry to use for these radios.
Thanks for great informative videos. I have just received i6s with v.3.0 firmware. When I go to sticks adjust I can never get out of that screen or return to previous screen. I have to power off and turn on again. Is that normal?

hi, i am trying to do this fairly straight forward procedure but the upgrade program is not finding the TRAMSMITTER when connected via usbr there for i cannot upgrade the firMWARE. any idea why

Please tell me about range of this remote controller. I have same remote i get beep sound when my quad goto distance about 500meter.
Ideally around 1.5km in ideal conditions. It's probably antenna alignment or the antennas on the model being shielded.. See my antenna series. Happy flying
Somebody needs to tell those guys,they need a helicopter mix,or can you show how to setup the mixes to achieve collective control??
+im2tall1 a lot of these radios are not coming out with easy heli setups. Even OpenTx doesn't do a great job. This radio is more for the entry level quad pilot without those external trims are more advanced mixes and settings. Let Flysky know it's something you want. If they are asked enough they may make the effort. Happy flying!
Painless360 I'm just gonna wait for the Horus! I'm assuming the Horus will have a swash setup as a option! I'm not sure but,I think I saw a model option in one of the vids,and a Heli was one I could be wrong.It would really suck if I waited all this time,and could've just bought a Jeti.

Painless360 Is it posible? i have been trying and the only way ive found is by tuning the transmitter 45°, though i wouldnt try flying that way

Hi I have a flysky i6S (all silvery one) TX and am trying to hook up the Banggood Multiprotocol Chinese TX module but cannot find a good +6-12V pad to solder to. I found the PPM_OUT and a good ground - any idea where the +V_Out would be or be labeled?
I have seen other videos where people use this module with the flysky i6, so hopefully I did not make an error assuming the i6s will just work the same.

I have this Radio but it won't do the firmware upgrade. can someone help. Tried different PCs different cables and still the PC won't recognize it. thanks!
+Ray Galarza the firmware is specific to the manufacturers version of the radio. See the other videos on the radio. Happy flying!

That normally only has a FrSky compatible receiver that won't work with A Fly Sky radio... See my review of it..
I can't connect the transmitter to PC. I tried so much, but it don't work. Do you have a solution?
+Florian Veltmann it should connect automatically and load a driver that makes it appear as a game controller in Windows.. I'd check the USB cable. Best of luck!
I have been using it as a game control via USB mode. I play RC Simulation 2.0 and the fixed wing aircraft fly much better with the FlySky FS-i6s than the Xbox controller. CHEERS!
Did you find a solution to this? Same problem with mine. Have tried different cables.The PC do register that the control is hooked up, but the Flysky update software do not register the controller.
Thank you for this video however i have a question is it possible to set up the dual rates to a switch ie have low rates flip a switch and have high rates on the radio I cant figure out how to configure this thanks in advance
I've just sat playing with it to see if you can and their doesn't seem to be a way to set that up on a switch. Best of luck!
Thanks for taking the time to check such a simple over look on there part I hope they will add in the next firmware update. for me I feel this is the only thing missing overall this radio is great. I see the just now are about to release a micro ibus receiver for it.

I can't see if and how you can adjust a switch for dual rates on and off . That is what i am asking

+Universal Video you can, but it's not ideal. The lack of trim tabs by the side of the main controls mean that the traditional way of trimming a plane in flight isn't available here.

See the i6s playlist. The FS/TGY-i6s is a larger radio with more switches, more in the menus and runs from AA cells.. Happy flying!

Hey all, does anyone know of a way to do an elevon mix for flying wings on this radio? I've got the Turnigy i6s version
Sadly not, this isn't designed for that realty. There are more firmware updates in the works so let's hope they add a simple plane mixer.
I feel pretty dumb having bought this radio. It seems to be a cooler looking version of the i6 with less than half the features and 10% of the receivers
