First time using public transport in Stockholm, Sweden

This was our first time using public transport in Stockholm. We caught a tram and a bus to get from the Vasa Museum to a local outdoor pub.

The manual checking of tickets inside the tram is an exception. Normally you do it outside at the platform.

The having them scan on the tram is exactly the same process as Phoenix, AZ or San Diego, CA. It’s a fare inspection, but they don’t just stay on the tram to do this, they will roam around to different ones to inspect fares.
However with the US systems you are supposed to scan before boarding.
