Dragon Spirit Review - Nintendo Switch Arcade Archives

Hello everyone, and welcome back!
I'm super thrilled to share my review of Dragon Spirit for Nintendo Switch. This is Hamster's latest addition to the Arcade Archives series and the game is truly a creative, yet ultimately challenging, game.
Developed and published by Namco in 1987 with fantastic music by Megaten (Shinji Hosoe).

I have been enjoying playing Dragon Spirit on my TG16 Mini. I feel it's a very underrated game that definitely deserves more love.

I used to play this in arcades, drawn in by how cool it looked. But it whipped me every time and I gave up before I ever got very far. Tough game, but incredibly eye-catching in its day.

Arcade Stages 3, 6, and 2 were my favorite for the music.

For me this game, Dragon Spirit: The New Legend and Dragon Saber are mandatory. The New Legend (NES game included in NAMCO MUSEUM ARCHIVES Volume 1) is so good! A guy that turns into a Dragon? so cool! A game should always aim to do what these games do: make the player dream and take him/her from the ugly real world to the game world, great story and graphics!

Ive really wanted to try this lately! I tried the nes version when I first found stg youtubers lol. I didn't know even mushi took inspo from this game. And this game took inspiration from xevious! :3 Thanks for another great review.
