Don’t want to be negative but I have a hard time finding good games lately.
Same for me
Same. I love FPS like COD and I’m waiting for Xdefiant for now. A couple military simulations are coming up as well! Other than that. Even adventure games I bought Cyberpunk when it came out and even though it’s good now I quit 6 months after it came out!
@@davidking8903try "Insurgency Sandstorm". This is one of the best Mil Sim Shooters
Try a different genre, maybe something you wouldn’t have before. Sometimes helps me
@@pagan117definitely. After an unhealthy dose of Overwatch and Tekken 8 destroying my soul, I jumped into Faster Than Light for the first time and I've been having a blast.
As a veteran gamer of some 50 years now I want to see more offline games where you play as a character in an open world. Let's stop all this online MMO stuff and get back to the basics of what makes a good game.
Well, there are so many open world single player games currently out and coming that I’d run out of space to list them. Frankly MMOs, at least western ones are fairly rare these days.
Damn straight
there's way more single player open world games than mmo's these days lmao
They don't make games for us anymore. Kids spend their parents money on skins in fortnite and that's who they build games for. We have been nearly forgotten.
Assassin's creed is like that the newest one is set in fuedal japan
Mine's Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. Playing through 1 made me realize that this style of game is insanely good
Jesus Christ be praised. I agree Absolutely!
I couldn't stomach that game.
@@TheShawnMowersucks to suck
@taxpnofear doesn’t give you a right to act like a snob because he doesn’t like the game. That’s his choice, so why don’t you grow up
I am on my first ever playthrough right now in the year of our Holy Lord, 2024. My lady talked me into it finally and it's awesome
That Crimson Desert looks REALLY fun. I'm definitely interested in this one.
Yeah looks kind of like a Chinese assassin’s creed wonder if it would be as ambitious and feature packed as it looks in this video, plus the graphics look phenomenal

It looks so good that I'm worried it will be too good to be true, and instead we'll get something half-assed :(
Why? Because he climbed through one window like in Unity? It's so much more than that, from what they've shown at least. There's even elements of TOTK in there. Crimson Desert is looking to be a massive Mashup of at the very least some of the flashiest bits from a bunch of games.
I've said this before but Kingdom come deliverance is one of my most favorite RPGs of all time, next to The Witcher 3. Absolute gem! I'm also excited for Black myth wukong for sure! 👍
Kingdom Come was the first sword/melee based game in a long while where I genuinely enjoyed the combat. I couldn't through the Witcher 3 because of it's combat and the same goes for all the souls, souls-like and other combat games like them I've tried. They just aren't for me but because of the first I am looking forward to the second Kingdom Come.
Does anyone know the music/song in first 25 seconds of the video? Thank you!
@@Hardy2608 I don't. Sorry to be of no help.
Witcher 3 is mind blowing, the DLC is amazing as well. I'm not really an RPG gamer at all but I was so invested in it.
@@Elwaves2925Did you like kh combat or played the mainline series?
Knights of the Old Republic: it’s pretty safe🙂
Me remembering Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection being “pretty safe”🙃
I want to know if they're going to remain faithful to the NWN / D&D 3.5 Edition mechanics or if they're going to strike out with something new in the way the FF7 remake did. I'm hoping it's the latter, because as much as I love NWN, that system has its flaws and I wouldn't mind never having to calculate a dodge reflex saving throw bonus in my head ever again.
They have a IP that can literally print money and they still keep dropping the ball..
Aspyr got booted off the project. Saber Interactive now has it and they aren't owned under Embracer anymore.
As a Star Wars fan, oh I really hope the KOTOR remake actually sees the light of day, and it comes out great
As someone who wants to really get into the old republic era and hopes Disney explores it more I hope so as well
And i hope we can still bang Bastila with a proper scene XD
star wars has been ruined since disney bought it
Nah they should cancel it they will never make a faith full kotor remake since they 100% would change the gameplay
@@undary0u actually I would 100% be down if they make it a real time combat based like Jedi outcast/academy, or souls like, like the Jedi games. Never was a fan of the turn based systems, but that’s just me. I’m never in favor of canceling stuff. If something sucks, it’s called I won’t buy
Judas is hands down my most anticipated game of 2025. Crimson Desert also looks amazing. One game I'd add is Phantom Blade Zero, it looks so good.
Yup Judas for me as well.
KCD2 is my most anticipated game right now. I'm still blown away that it's coming this year!
Dont get your hopes up on that
@@johnv6806 I've been following news out of Warhorse and they seem very confident. I'm gonna try to keep my hype under control but I believe they're gonna release it by end of year. They were so tight lipped about it for so long. Doesn't seem to me that they would announce that it was coming by end of 2024 without being certain of it.
Jake: "You're playing as this monkey guy."
Monkey King: "U wot m8."
No respect for the Monkey King
@@Axtrudithorize Or for the inspiration that eventually led to Super Saiyans. I'm actually rather disappointed in the gamer community that so few of us know that Son Goku, the Monkey King, was the inspiration for Son Goku, the hero of Dragonball. Seriously, why do you guys think he has a Power Pole that can extend into the stratosphere and a flying nimbus, along with that monkey tail? Sure, most of those features go away in Dragonball Z, but instead he gains the ability to go Super Saiyan, along with learning that he's a member of an entire 'celestial' race, along with being one of the coolest and chillest OP protagonists from anime.
It's an older meme sir, but it checks out
If they let me name my monkey im going with the late great Harambe
what?
I'm ready for KCD2. KCD1 was one of my most favorite games ever.
Crimson Desert, Judas, and Light No Fire are my main interests.
Crimson Desert - It seems it's a Single Player Open World Action RPG, which pretty much ticks all my boxes for preference. It doesn't seem like there is magic, but rather Sci-Fi elements which might lead to some sort of technomage, or who knows what.
Judas - Well, I like Bioshock 1 and 2, though Infinite not so much. Looks pretty good.
Light No Fire - Ambitious, but unlike with NMS they aren't on the same budget and time crunch to release a game, so I expect it will release in a finished state, by and large. I think I heard the mountains can be genuinely huge, so it'd be interesting to try to manually climb one of those.
There’s some magic in crimson desert bro you literally see a monster using thunder and MC duff using magic power
KCD2 best game on the list. And the devs just dropped a huge video with content regarding the second. KCD is so underrated.
I have so much faith in Hello Games, given the amazing turn-around since the launch of No Man's Sky, that I fully expect Light No Fire to be much more "complete" and polished at launch. So excited!
Hello Games can get fucked.
The fact that it’s a singular planet over an entire universe, I have a feeling it’s going to be much more detailed biomes and hopefully big established settlements to visit as well.
Surely that means people should wait and see. It's not that they can't deliver, we know that. We also know they over promise.
I really hope they pull it off! But am a bit worried. I love NMS in a way but feel like they could have brought all the factions to life so much more. In the end as beautiful as everything was and how much they improved the mechanics, there was still somewhat of a lack of life to the game for me. But if they can also somehow improve the sense of discovery for this one that would help! I really love them as a developer and hope they pull this off😊
@@stuartmorley6894 It's one of those where you'd think "Surely they wouldn't make the same mistake again?" And I really want to hope that, but who knows.
All I want in life is gta6, the next elder scrolls, and the next fable. That’s all I want. And I’ve been waiting over a decade for all of them😭
So you don't want GTA VII, which will take place on three continents, span over 3 decades and feature the most touching story in a GTA game so far?
@@LlamaDuck2211 at this rate it won’t be out until after I’m dead
The Fable series is probably my favorite series of games all time. I was so disappointed when they released that stupid mobile game. Really hope we get a real new Fable game before I die at this point
@@LlamaDuck2211bro none of what you just said is true
@@TheMilkman04 Lol but yeah, out of the three you mention I'm only looking forward to GTA 6. Have enough of Bethesda and "XBox exclusives"

Haven't heard about quite a few of these, wukong looks sick thanks for the upload.
These are my fave type of gaming videos. This one was perfectly presented.
Light no fire.
Great devs.
Can't wait🎉
Same here!
I'm excited for "Crimson Desert. I hope it's like "Dragon's Dogma 2, just different ofc.
As always great video Jake and really looking forward to light no fire.
Oh! I wanna see Kingdom come Deliverance 2! The first one was really good. It was one of the few games where practicing skills really made them better, but where you really had a sense of progression. I hope they keep that feel in the second one.
Light no fire and wukong are at the top of my personal list. I was a believer in no mans sky since day 1 and they made good on it so im HYPE to see what they can do with a fantasy setting using what theyve learned from no mans sky
...probably nothing, people dont change
@@herp_derpingsonexcept....they literally have changed. Have you not played No Man's Sky lately?
I guess the worry is that they lean too much on the "dont worry we will make it an actual game, eventually" than just actually releasing a game.
@Harlfcab yeah that's one of the biggest glaring possibilities. They could just do the whole shtick over again
@@herp_derpingson ? No mans sky turned into an absolutely amazing experience
YAY! You guys named the chapters. Thank you very much. Please keep doing that.
Thank you. I needed this.
Saying that I am hyped for Light No Fire would be an understatement. After the crazy redemption story of Hello Game with NMS, I can't wait to play it.
Judas looks like it might have some extraordinary potential, some real good games on this list to look forward to.
Kindom Come Deliverance 2

So excited about KCD2!!! Been waiting for it.
Been highly anticipating wukong for years now. I'm so excited!
Really excited for Light No Fire (and relieved that you can play alone). Crimson Desert looks great too.
As someone who has no friends to play with and does not have time to try to become a member of an online community, being able to play "Light No Fire" alone is essential
Looking forward to Black Myth Wukong and KCD 2 the most, as both are also releasing this year!
Kind of sad that all the other cool looking games aren't coming out this year, oh well
Judas has been on my wishlist for some considerable time.
Judas and the KOTOR remake are games I’m excited by and will probably play. And Everywhere is a game I’m fascinated by, just as a gaming fan. I love when people swing for the fences.
It's also interesting to note that "Journey to the west" has a huge influence on Dragon Ball originally. Son Goku is Sun Wukong in Japanese, and all the monkey transformations and other crazy stuff like flying Nimbus is coming from that novel. Another reason to be interested in the lore
Happy Mother’s Day to the mom gamers out there sharing their favorite games with their kids and introducing family to their hobby.
Here to the Moms breaking child labor laws having their kids farm mats in MMOs !
Light no fire looks amazing. Also seeing that KOTOR footage brought back AMAZING memories 🙏🏼
Crimson Desert and KCD2 are the ones I'm looking forward to the most, but Black Myth Wukong has my attention as does Marvel 1943. The world building in BMW really looks interesting, and I'm normally not into story-driven comic book games, but Marvel looks admittedly sick as hell.
9:56 When you said, “A Black Panther”, I thought leather jacket wearing, power fist chucking 70s dudes. 😅
Cap & The Black Panther team up to take down The Man!
Black Myth Wukong and Light no Fire are the ones I'm looking forward to!
This is my first time hearing of Crimson Desert and man i hope that has long enough to cook and actually delivers on what its claiming to be because it looks awesome
intro music was dope! please consider using more!!
So glad to see Light No Fire at 1, there is no other game studio that has 110% of my trust. You gotta love Hello Games ❤
The sarcasm or cope is insane. And I can't even tell which one!!! I wouldn't trust that guy with my enemy's used bubblegum.
110%? That's a little much for what they released dude.
@@JakenBake-JP probably haven't looked at it since the first update then.
@@user-vg6qv5jv3w why? They f-ed up, moved on and didn't just fulfill but exceeded by about three times what they they intended it to be. Never asked for another penny.
i couldnt get into NMS, i just find it boring, but still excited to see LNF. maybe that game will click for me. I hope so, NMS is amazing, its just not for me.
Crimson Desert is the game we've all wanted but Dragons Dogma 2 taught me a lesson I wont forget
Why? What's wrong with dd2?
@@ZyrgiaI'm assuming it's related to the microtransactions, even though it's not in any way required to buy anything to play the actual game.
@Zyrgia It was unplayable for many players. Especially on PC
@@Mmarcossith678-33uuMaster race can't play another game dayum.. Heart bleeds 😂
@@XGothWolfX There are no microtransaction in DD2...at least none that you should be concerned about. Only a certified idiot would buy anything from the online store. Just play the game.
Black Myth looks cool. If you haven’t played, there is another Journey to the West game, Enslaved Odyssey to the West. - developed by Ninja Theory during the 360/PS3 era. It’s a sci-fi adaptation and I LOVED that game. Plus Andy Sirkis plays the main character which is a nice bonus.
Crimson Desert and Black Myth Wukong are my most anticipated games by far. Nothing gets my attention more than those games, not even close.
Light No Fire has so much Potential
👍
Crimson Desert looks nuts
Essentially it's singler player warrior class BDO with a Korean written story.
@@gearzdesign like someone has said before: Korean games are style over substance and I feel exactly like this regarding Crimson Desert. It looks like it's just a mixture of elements from big games like Witcher and Zelda
@@amwazdraws6890 Oh I'm aware of the korean games, I've played BDO for years as well as other Korean games/MMO's. They're always graphically well done and at times great gameplay but short on story telling/character development
@@amwazdraws6890 well lies of p and stellar blade beg to differ. I mean the latter might not feature any groundbreaking storytelling but at least it has an awesome combat system and of course beautiful graphics as expected
@@lapsedilationdrive3943 I played and liked both. Especially Stellar Blade is more style than substance. There is no explanation for why it's only women who arrive on Earth. No background for Eve and even the background of Adam or Lily is explored poorly.
These all look great and with any luck they will have engaging stories and gameplay. I've been looking forward to crimson desert for a long time.
Great list.
Black Myth Wukong is one that excites and scares me in equal measure, i love how it looks and the boss fights look incredible but if it has that Soulslike difficulty, it will scare me away
Play on PC, enable cheats.
I'd be more worried about how it's going to run on consoles TBH. So far UE5 has proven terrible on consoles
KOTR was BioWare not obsidian
I was gonna say the same thing. Obsidian made the sequel KOTOR 2.
He said bioware multiple times
Wrong
He said BioWare a couple times . The first time he misspoke pretty clearly
Maybe he was reflecting on the series?
If Amy Hennig is onboard for that Captain America game then I am absolutely going to play it. She is one of the best writers working in games today.
I already applied for the newsletters for some of these games like Crimson desert and Everywhere. Light no fire was already on my wishlist.
KCD2 will be my game of the year expectation; barring any unexpected hiccups.
I really hope it isn't broken at launch like the first game was.
@@Dr.Yakub22yeah that really fucks up the immersion

I didnt even know about this game until now. It looks amazing, hope this comes out this year.
can't wait for KCD2. I absolutly loved the first part. Just more of that would be for itself awsome. Even better to get a polished and greater game
Black Myth Wukong looks stupidly good! The fact that you can temporarily morph into the mini-bosses you've defeated is such a nice touch!
I remember the aura of STARFIELD's release before excitement 🥺🥺
still thoroughly enjoyed saterfield. It wasn’t perfect by any means but I got exactly what I wanted
starfield is exactly how a bethesda game would be wym
Rise of Hydra 1943 is definitely one I'm looking forward too. This is great list.
Yeah
I love the longer vida
You had me at "you're playing as this monkey guy"
Where did Billy go after he stepped on a landmine?
EVERYWHERE
You can pet doggos and hug kitties in Crimson Desert?? Insta must have!! 😂
(pls be good, pls be a good game!)
And luckily, when it comes to Light No Fire "...the studio has indicated that, much like No Man's Sky, you can play alone if you want to". That's good to hear xd
8:46 how are we not talking about how cool this part is, especially flying.
I always try to support your channel. You guys are consistent and often informative. It’s a good relief.
Crimson Desert looks too good to be real (or ever come out)
Yeah looks very ambitious wonder if it will look as good as it is in this video
"This is too big!" is the excitement because the game is big? Every freaking game is big now it seems, they don't respect players time and make quantity over quality. It's nothing to get excited about in the least.
Awesome Video
Black Myth, Light No Fire, and Crimson looked pretty good
Be careful buying games now. There are surprise mechanics that publishers can use to pirate the game from your library that you paid for with real money.
What?
Huh???
Buy physical copies problem solved lol
Happy Mother’s Day single dudes
Light No Fire is high up on my "can't effin wait" list.
KCD:2 has me really excited. I'm pretty confident it will be a great game, even if it's just more of the first but hopefully they will innovate also.
I'm worried about Knights of the Old Republic, because there were some public statements made by some of the leads, like I think the lead writer or editor of the project, saying they are changing aspects of the story and the writing, in order to "make it appeal more to a modern audience", and every time a studio says something along those lines of "made for modern audiences", it always sucks. For example, the Saints Row reboot was "made for modern audiences."
I'm expecting it to share some similarities to the original KOTOR (the product name.. maybe some plot points, that's it) but everything from the narrative, the deep and complex RPG mechanics and gameplay systems, the huge amount of content and inherent difficulty, to the incredible writing of the original is unfortunately unsuitable for modern gamers. All core RPG and turn-based systems will no-doubt be stripped out of the game in favor for letting you jump and picking your "body type" and pronouns. Really hope I'm wrong, but yeah, anytime "...for modern audiences" is used, it signals to those with a brain to stay far away lol.
@@MO_Disk The old game is PERFECTLY suitable for modern gamers. Gamer tastes haven't changed too much over the years. The problem, is that it's not suitable to the "consultancy groups" and "sensitivity readers" that these modern large companies hire onto the studios. "That's" where the problem is. Real gamers aren't the problem, it's the trigger happy individuals that find ways to be offended at the drop of a hat, that get hired onto projects they don't care about, or actively hate (in the case of many projects like the people who worked on the Witcher Netflix series).
For that first game. Any DBZ fan chanel, journey into the West is the precursor of dragon Ball z, Son wukong is son Goku, so get your lore hats on
Son Wukong is smarter than that idiot who almost wiped out the universe.
For a Chinese person who grew up in the 80s who had very little, watching Journey to the West every year on tv, seeing it being made into this caliber of a game, its a very proud and exciting feeling!
Never heard of that Judas game before. Sign me up! Looks awesome
SW KOTOR Remake, I have zero care for It with how star wars has been treated over the... years "Sigh"
Crimson desert is the only game I'm looking forward to right now
I haven't been following it, but it is definitely on my radar now. Looks great!
High expectations for it after Stellar Blade. Unfortunately it has the same tired setting as KCD2, DD2 and so many medieval games. Let's hope it does something that sets it apart from the rest
I can't express how extremely excited i am for BLACK MYTH WUKONG, it's like a dream come true.
Im excited for more sweet gamerranks videos

Calling it now, Black Myth Wukong is going to be mid or downright bad. Way too many red flags. Kind of gives me the vibe of one of those free to play game ads that pop up everywhere.
I think your just a negative Nancy
Hello Games has SO made up for their past, I will buy this game the split-second it is up for sale, without hesitation. Light No Fire will be amazing, I'd absolutely bet my life. Also looking forward to the new Bioshock-ish game, it's been too long since. It's a shame nobody ever came up with a co-op mod for Bioshock. Good list, Jake.
I’m exited about the precinct because to me it looks like a silly fun old school cop game. When more info comes out please share!

Crimson Desert ain't coming this year either yet they included it on the list.@@BerzerkJaeger
The key word here is ‘upcoming’. GTA 6 won’t be around for a long long time.
Too ambitious, does not compute.
In the year 2026
It really annoys me that fantasy (specifically high fantasy) is so prominent in video games. There are TOO MANY fantasy/medieval games. The market is totally saturated with them. It's really tiresome. We need more immersive open world experience, fiction, non-fiction, sci-fi, etc to offset the imbalance of fantasy in gaming.
Buy them less and they will appear less
How about not
