Would absolutely love if we someday got patches resolving the multiple issues but the game's presence and action are more than enough to keep me playing! Love this game and would be stoked to see a sequel someday!

I love this game even more now! The music in the second part of the boss fight is awesome. Thanks for sharing some Korean stories, I think it added a great layer to this!

This is one of the games that introduced me to the genre. I still play this game regularly but it deserves a patch.
I think my biggest complaint is the death animation, very underwhelming and sometimes even difficult to tell when you've been hit.
Completely agree. A patch could resolve a lot of issues and I'm amazed it's received no attention this whole time. I've recognized this also about the death animation since it doesn't transpire like many standard life-loss animations. Thanks for checking this out and dropping a comment, definitely appreciate it!

@@HideAndRead Awesome! Yeah, I only got "serious" about the channel a few months ago. The 2 or 3 years before that was just casual and very little effort. Great to have you here either way! I like to shed light on games that strike me a certain way and really dig into what makes them tick (for me anyway). If it inspires appreciation in others, that's a plus! Yeah, the jump in difficulty from Normal to Hard will require a bit of an adjustment for me. Normal wasn't too tricky but it still took some learning. Thanks for scoping this Marcus and have a stellar weekend!
Its a great underrated shooter. I've had it on ps4 and pc for quite a while now. Its a good bridge between bullet hell and touhou. The locking up movement has never been an issue in other versions I have played, seems strange as to why this happens and why a permanent fix isn't available.
It's quite baffling the issues have not received any sort of attention and I don't feel like they will. Thankfully it's still a solid game! Thanks for swinging by Guy!

@@Shmuptopia I picked up tha 8Bitdo arcade stick it's aiight
@@sifujedi4895 8bitdo is a pretty solid stick and one of the few (maybe even the only one) for Switch that offers lights so you know where the buttons are. Cannot tell you how many times at night I've searched for my buttons on other sticks to make sure I'm not firing off a bomb unintentionally.
@@Shmuptopia Which arcade stick would you say is anotha gd one to look out for
@@sifujedi4895 Great question. It depends if you're looking to have three or four sticks or if you only know you want to spend on a second one. Other considerations are what quality you're after, what size if you have limited space, etc. I like a number of different sticks for Switch for different reasons so I don't want to suggest one until I learn a little more from you.

Excellent video review, well articulated and explained! I actually super dislike this game, one of the first shmups that I bought and just did not like at all, and so into my "nintendo switch recycling bin" it went! but regardless I think fans of the game will enjoy watching your review, or even folks like me who frankly, didnt like it at all! thats what makes your reviews well made. keep it up!! I also want to mention the well researched korean stories that really made me think about how the art style of the bosses ( the one thing I did like ) - and how cool that really is.
Thanks for watching this man! I could see this really rubbing me a certain way if it was my first. I think in general, it's one game 50% like and the other 50% aren't into it. It's part of why I want to spotlight things as much as possible even if peeps aren't playing it, there's tons to zero in on and appreciate. I was actually stoked to stumbled upon the one Korean story about the tiger curse - that was such a neat tidbit! Thanks again man, always great having you here!
