Today I am sharing my review of Thunder Dragon 2 for Nintendo Switch. This is part of Hamster's Arcade Archives series and easily one of the best NMK-published arcade shooters hands down!
This STG has it all, over the top action, insane graphical depth, steep difficulty, an epic layered score system, awesome enemy and boss designs, the list goes on!

I love this Shmup, NMK games are so underated, but damn that's harddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd, difficulty curve of Gunnail is so much better for me but I enjoy a lot TD2😁
Yeah, TD2 is a pretty wild time. I haven't gone in-depth with this one like I did for Gunnail but perhaps someday. NMK games are always awesome! Thanks for checking this out Vinu!
Fantastic video Dace. I will check this out on Switch when it drops today. By the way, the three Switch Saturn tributes from City Connection just got patches. (Two of the Cotton games plus Guardian Force). Heard that they slightly reduced the input lag, and added one or two minor features, but I haven’t tried the patches yet. Though I personally am poor at perceiving lag, I understand it’s ultra-important for some players.
Thanks for checking this out Sfb! Glad you enjoyed it and it’s also great knowing the lag has been addressed (at least to one degree or another). Lag in games is not something I used to be as aware of but these days it can definitely render a shooter unplayable, like the Psikyo titles on Switch. Would love if those got fixed someday! They've got a lot of solid games. If you enjoy TD2, definitely check out Gunnail as it's another wicked one and has a unique system in place - I did a review if it helps at all. But yeah, TD2 is plenty of action for now. Have a good one!
@@Shmuptopia I did grab Gunnail as well. VERY solid. It's super fun discovering these more obscure arcade titles. I know there's always MAME, etc, but that can be overwhelming in some ways. 🙂
@@Sklabah Yeah, Mame takes some getting used to. I resorted to that for Vasara and Vasara 2 since the Vasara Collection on Switch had some wonky movement and lag. Night and day difference!
