The Jack Daniel Distillery announced the release of its new 12-Year-Old Tennessee Whiskey along with Batch 2 of its 10-Year-Old Tennessee Whiskey. The limited whiskeys are the latest in Jack Daniel’s Aged Series, an annual release of age-stated expressions that celebrate the brand’s heritage.

Hopefully the general public will get to try these. More special releases should be in 375ml bottles so more people can obtain.
I found the neck pour of the 12 to be pretty closed up on the palate and not at all matching the greatness of the nose. The nose is one of the best I've ever smelled. I've given it a few weeks and it is starting to get a lot better. Hopefully, it will blossom into a bourbon that is worthy of the nose. I've read and seen some reviews that echo this experience and also say that it is not found in the media samples. Hmmm...

Apparently Jack Daniels had a big meeting with all of the TH-camrs they sent samples to and asked them to release videos on it all at the same time and not to say anything before that date and time

???I have a question if I don’t like fake banana flavored candy runts. All I taste and smell on Jack Daniel’s #7 is bad banana. Is this whiskey Not for me. I stay away from OF 1910 but I’ve never tried it???
I’ll revisit with this in mind, but i think the oak influence from the barrel makes banana an after thought, if there at all. While it’s the dominate note on younger JD, definitely not primary on this one.
