Suspension is the best thing you can do I am personally running stage 4 elkas with houser xc style a arms, for the motor, this is my setup and I will tell everyone to go with it it over a big bore. Plus 2mm valves, 14.1.1 high compression piston paper thin port and polish, full dasa pipe, custom ground Webb cam. This setup makes power. Don’t go cheap on a quad that will last you, I am just pushing over 100 all race/track hours 90% of the time off the limiter. This video is good for the people who want a nice trail quad but nothing about it is meant for racing in my option but i like these videos
Exactly right, if your trying to ride fast suspension is #1, then you can max out the potential of the reliable stock motor. I had a 400ex back in the day, have 450r now but I used to out run a lot of people in the woods just by being able to hit rough areas wide open while they had to slow down so they don’t get bucked. Handling on turns and all.
@@LolliWANG505 stock suspension is set up for the average weight 150lbs for two average rider, someone that’s racing trying to go as fast as possible in the woods for a 3 hour endurance race will need good dialed in suspension, Ellka or custom axis shocks.

Need to do valve springs or valve work with a hot cam? Green wires been cut of my 07 trx450er, bit nervous about rev limiter in it. Rebuilt engine, whites full pipe, been jetted, uni filter with lid cut open. Asking because I got absolutely chopped by a kxf450 converted trike and don't want that happening again 😂
Better a-arms. Full exhaust and jetting (Curtis sparks). With better a arms I say long travel shocks. Definitely full coverage nerf bars. Better handlebars.
@@samueltharington8291 I'm pretty sure a tuner would help to, bc I think with an new exhaust you will habe to adjust airflow and fuel but I personally stay with carb machines myself,
Run a dasa. Don’t go cheap. Especially if it’s just a slip on.

I’d never put a big bore kit on my 04. I put stage 2 cams and bigger jets, exhaust, and k&n filter woke it up and will compete with anything around
I did put big bore kit on my 04 and it's a beast now. Like a whole new bike
Big bore and camshafts! These machines can feel really flat for power in the top rpms but really respond to better cams!
Big bore are a waste of money
I will change the oil with some high-quality oil, as well as a case saver, I’ve seen too many of these and in such bad outcome because of it

You will adjust your carburetor and jets after engine modifications.

Carb no if running fuel injection it help. With carb just need to adjust fuel air mixture
