I take issue with the dancer not dancing
They're set to guarding mode which makes them stand still it's good for the male dancers if you don't want to acting all homosexual
as a brand new player i don't even know what corruption is, I went into this thinking it was for new players, for instance I thought you could only have one religion, I wish you went more in-depth, but I'm positive it was very helpful to others, though I did learn somethings like magic isn't what I thought it was, I went into this thinking I could be like Gandalf, now I think magic is more utility I guess, there's still a lot I don't know though

I'd argue that as a new player you probably wouldn't get much use of most what he's talking about anyway. You got bigger worries at the start than sorcery.
It's weird that this is a "before I started" video and you start with corrupting stats. I just started and I have no idea how or what corrupted stats are.
Don't feel bad,. I'm 400 hrs in and this is the first I've learned about it.
Its only based on the 3.0 update which added magic this is about the new changes
Before I started playing Conan Exiles, I had no clue what corruption is.

honestly some of the spells are reallllly cool but can we talk about the fact someone at funcom thought you should get 1 singular flask of blood from a thrall and 5 souls? like really that guy had 5 souls?? and only cups worth blood in his system lmao, 1 flask per makes leather pouches a pain to craft.

Thanks for the tips. I found that Corrupted Stats and Summon your Body in Circle of Power especially helpful. I once got full corrupted cuz i spent too much time in the Arena and saw the Corrupted stats, i was afraid to use it thinking it might be permanent and no way to reset it.
You might want to explain what "corrupt your stats" means.

A couple more tips:
4:00 As others mentioned, you'll want to pick Zath up too in F7. Helps with getting lots of skulls.
Then after Mitra, instead of walking over to Conan, you can learn Midnight Alchemist at the Den and then take a shortcut there through the dungeon.
Also right next to that is the easter egg door with the speical chest that may yield an early truncheon.
Finally the Scuttler's Shortcut is also likely the most awesome place to use the resource gathering spell. Right in the area where the walls, pillars and ceiling are all covered with crystals you can't even reach normally, getting you many thousands of them at once.
And yes, recalling the body with full inventory is broken. I don't want to give people ideas but that can be abused in various ways.

With that route you get Yog, Zath, Set, Mitra and the first step towards Jhebbal Sag which you can't pick anyway.
This leaves only Ymir and her. But Derketo's recipes are more useful, and Ymir is also on your way if you head north next - towards the Mounds & Black Ice after getting some basic gear, steel and possibly a thrall from the city.
This is Firespark not Wak just so you know people laugh at people who get the names wrong (Believe me i know i made the same mistake not too long ago) but anyways yes that is a very good method of getting skulls i'm sure he might already know that though.

Just one sacrificial blood = insanely cheap. Lol, tell that to your victims.
During testlive, I set up my altar near a small encampment of exiles and would constantly go through and knock them out and sacrifice their sorry little butts. The sacrificial blood can come from any fighter/archer/dancer/bearer thrall so just sacrifice the little guys to kill the big guys.
I did, I didn't hear any objections through all their screams of agony.

I wish I knew the 3.0 update was going to reverse the option I had for my disabled "drop everything on death" setting. I play solo, so my server options are all set to my preference, and I was not expecting them to reset with the update.

Good info. I never really tested the extent of corruption and the new sorcery before they went release, and I decided to go back to my resource-rich release version characters. Now I have to farm pages and upgrade materials all over again, but at least I have nice bases full of unique artisans.
At 3:49 you can take a slight detour and learn the Zath religion also. Good video.
Actually i have bumped into a method, you can bring all your stuff back quickly Without using the Circle of Power just by simply building a Stone foundation and place a PVP flag on it once you acquire all your materials just simply walk into the PVP flag area and accept the PVP message once you do then take your bracelet off and you'll respawn back at your base with all of your inventory no need to summon your corpse! it will save you a lot of time doing that method.
I've only been playing solo for about 8 hours and I understand all of this.

I love the look of FireSpark's Armor ♥️ It looks like Khari Armor but it's not cuz' of the straps on the shoulder, I'm confused.. I wonder what the armor is..
wow, this changes everything about pvp greatly.
The crafting thralls always boosted the armor/weapons that way. Why it is now noticeable is because instead of percentage boosting 1base point of a stat, it is boosting a base of say 15 base points in stamina, for example. So, it is much easier to see the difference. I wonder if tier 4 still give the massive boost of +100% compared to tier 3 of +60% or if they balanced the tiers.

Hey FireSpark - I came across a base the other day where the Battle Pass arcane double height door frame with "Braziers" were Lit like torches/braziers... Any Idea how this is unlocked/done? Thanx !!!
Use the kindling. It's the perfect size and adds quite a bit of light.
I wouldn't risk using the yellow lotus potions currently, they also reset feats AND it's still bugged to possibly remove feats learned from schematics or scrolls.

Maybe that is why my witch doctor knowledge is gone, and my crafting options in the cauldron is down to four. Have lost some options in the alchemist bench too. I think it is everything with the Witch doctor knowledge, but maybe more🤷🏼♂️
"Most of the spells are relatively useless". Yeah, that may be how it is in PVE, but in PVP the ice bridge, the bat flyer and especially the lightning storm are really op.
I just absolutely trashed a large T3 base with a few lightning storm spells and it cost me almost nothing to do. Lightning even two shotted a vault!
There is a ton that's amazing in PVE as well.

Does booze count as food or "elixir" for the purpose of stat bonuses?
Booze effects should stack with themselves.. otherwise there is zero reason to drink more than one, other than for the journey step to get drunk.
Anyone remember the market workshop mod that let you buy and sell stone fiber crystal etc, for gold or silver coins? I remember the 2 stalls had a red and I think it was a green roof? I cant find it on the workshop anymore and dont remember the name, but it was super handy
I was disappointed that the high sorcerer's don't give any cool bonus spells. I got lucky to find a named one immediately 😢
If youre playing Conan for a bit of time already its quicker to get the needed corruption with just using a godbreaker weapon for a second. No need to sacrifice thralls and craft that potion just for getting corruption
You need soul essence for corrupting stats though, so sacrificing thralls is more efficient, since you get corruption and the item needed to corrupt stats.
I'd love a video on which spells *aren't* useless, and one on a good archer build (if it's viable) as well

How do I increase the tiers for the armourers bench?
The yellow lotus potion is still buggy, there is a chance that you will lose some of the permanent-learned recipes. Better go safe with Bestial memory potion, bit tricky to get on Siptah map tho.
That lightning spell needs a nerf ASAP. It’s killing official servers.

I'd rather build a small base + teleporter instead of taking off bracelet.. thralls follow through TP, and i dont lose my sigils. Battle flag was the teleporter before 3.0.. so glad they brought teleporters.. siptah just got way easier

3.0 is the only version of Conan it’s just an update
Pretty much everyone on the test live forums whined about the potions not stacking anymore. A lot of this people talked about on test live forums.
Do any of the attributes mitigate temeperature effects (like survival used to do for cold and heat) or was that totally removed now? I've been looking at them and it seems like its all armor/food based.
Seems to be removed. Aside from the usual options (full Ymir with a torch is very accessible) the new Skelos Cultist Set sorcerers can't stop dropping, while it does require like...250? raw ash? at epic level will have you nigh-cold immune. You can possibly acquire that much ash without going into the volcano if you're cagey, and of course on Siptah where this doesn't matter at all raw ash is easy as candy.
@@Taggerattack2 Thanks for the quick reply. I had assumed but was somewhat hopeful as I used beefed survival for volcano runs. Hope this does add some viability to older armors though. I wonder if the temp shields are worth it (I remember one for heat and one for cold) though I dont remember them making an actual difference so unless they have been "fixed" other methods will take precedence.
@@LanceStone93666 you just have to wield the shields to get their temperature effects, not carry but actively wield
@@serenaislinn4912 I am aware. It never appeared to affect it one way or another but I was always under the assumption I couldn't just throw it on my back. Thank you for trying to help though.
@@LanceStone93666 I have been using those shields for a long while now. They have always had an affect while wielded. If you check your stats you can see your hot/cold resistance. It goes up several bars in the appropriate category while held. Did then, still does now.
It may have seemed inconsequential in the past if you had the first vitality perk, and survival up as well.

not all casts are useless if youw ant to raid a base that has archer thralls to guard just cast the darkness or the sandstorm with undead horde that way thrall guards are almost useless for defending and it gives you and your buddies time time to get in the base.
Great info! Question .. did they remove our ability to make undead pets? They used to be on the alchemy bench. Now I don’t even see the feat. I still have a few left. But seems like they nerfed crafting skeletons

Tier 1, 2, and 3 crafting thralls already have better bonuses to weapons and armor before 3.0
Before the Siptah revamp even.
Each tier still reduces weight, increases durability, increases armor/durability.
They used to increase the total attribute bonus to a set, but now increase each items special bonus instead.
This isn't a new feature.
When I destroyed a teleporter I got less than half the resources back. Since you can't move it this is a bummer. You might want to test this and there may be a few other hi end items that also return less resources than you put in.
I noticed I destroyed a something that had been damaged and got less resources back than the full amount. May e it was damaged?

They increased the poison damage for bosses a ton... so Set is good for the poison resist.

Never had 10 stacks land on a thrall, on Decadent. Reaper queen does now. Thought it might be difficulty level. Now the reduced hp on thralls and that, yeesh. Lost 3 all ready to that

Ihovs mod? It's updated, he ironed out the crashes if you still have some check your mods.
Put his mod at the bottom of your load order.

There is a bug on at least the ps4 that if you use the lotus potion to reset its bugs out your ability to upgrade your book
I play ps4 as well. I'm having a bug where I cant damage 3 skull enemies or knock out enemies for thralls.

Is this game huge as far as the map goes? Are there caves and hidden places? I'm looking looking for a new game to play other then red dead redemption 2 and fallout 3 newvegas,n 4. How does this game compare to them? ND PLEASE give opinions not disrespectful comments I'm not a full blown gamer I just like to enjoy them oh is there a weight limit as to what u can carry?
The size of the map is hard to say, It surely has a lot of biomes (a volcano, various deserts, snowy and rocky mountains, at least 2 jungles, multiple variations of savannah, obviously plains and riversides, etc). It's pretty huge overall as you need a few dozens of minutes (probably a few hours with the on-route incidents) to cross the map from one side to another.
There are a lot of caves, hidden places and minor "dungeons", in addition to the true dungeons (where you're completely teleported, on another map). I would say there are a few dozens of the first and maybe 10 of the 2nd, depending on what you count. There is a pretty decent amount of secrets and things to discover/understand like a dungeon that you open by killing someone on a stone in front of it. Now with sorcery you also have minor events on the map where sorcerers invoke demons that are pretty hard to manage even at high level.
There is a very intense craft system, a big building system that is closer to Minecraft or Rust than the games you cited, a big thralls (understand it as more or less slaves) and tamed animals system too with followers levels (up to 20), ranks (up to III plus legendaries), roles (alchemist, fighters, etc.) and kinda similar with animals (most have normal and great variations and their levels give them stats depending on the food you give them) which is needed to make the hardest dungeons if you're not 4 or 5 players together or using some OP builds.
It's much more comparable to Ark, Space Engineers, and other survival open world games, but you add a good dump of lore with thematic dungeons, bosses, and elements of Conan's lore all around.
I played those games as well and loved them. By comparison conan is just as good and i play it solo on a pve conflict server and i have built a big base, hoarded items for crafting later, n gained thralls that I’m fond of. Without a doubt worth it. Oh and I didn’t buy dlc. I’ve been playing for months on the same server.
If you're playing on PC, I'd suggest waiting for a sale. Not because the game is bad but because it may not be your cup of tea. It's a gun and very involved game but there's no real storyline guiding you through like the games you've mentioned. From what I've seen on various social media the game isn't running too well on consoles since the 3.0 update.
If you walk from one end of the map to the other it takes about an hour. The map is huge.
Yeah the games you stated I’ve played as well and they aren’t really the same type of feel as this. As someone else mentioned this is a “survival” game so it doesn’t have a really cool story and quests necessarily, it’s more like “Ark” where you kinda just farm resources, fight things, loot, tame animals and thralls, all to build a base of your own design almost anywhere you want on a massive map. Eventually after making a base you will have to defend it from massive raids of enemies called “Purges” they can be really hard but very fun. I’ve been playing with a friend and it’s been a good time to be honest.
I’d play in single player to start or with a friend you know. Don’t just join a server.

IT is No longer possible for me to make anything else than steelfire, stoneconsolident, dragon powder and one more in cauldron. Does any of you know why, or have the same problem?
There is a new bench called The alchemy bench. It's there you craft all your potions and bandages.

Thanks for the reply. I have the improved alchemist bench. Tried upgrading since some of the things you where able to craft disappeared. You were able to craft skeletons, and some other things in the bench. They are gone too. Its like everything that came with the witch doctor knowledge is gone, and I have already crafted several skeletons and the other things. So it did work earlier. Don't know why...

Consoles, n game devs for consoles need too add resolution opions for more games, id much rather play with sum resolution loss for better frames in games.

No one plays single player PC without Mods. Mods are the sole reason why people play on PC.
@@mrdude88 Well I've got no mods and doing fine. But I'm definitely considering the mini map, gotten so used to it in other survival games.

I play on PC because 1080/60 is the minimum standard, with 4k/60 being the base line.
Also I like a more accurate aiming system that doesn't need aimbots

Welp, I drained all the T1 crafters I found, so they WERE useful, aynway...*cough*
Are you playing without mods now? My world crashes everytime I have a mod activate, like when I interact with something that is affected by a mod.
some mods have been updated but not all of them, ui mod has just been updated and pippi works but many of the others are not ready yet.
Some mods are working some are not just got to be careful.
to make sure that the mods update, unsub wait 1 sec then re-sub to the mod while the launcher is NOT active

Jailers should be 3skull bosses, and cages should *only* have T4 in them. That would stop all of the garbage thralls outside cages..
Most of the spells are useful in PvP only. Not useless, just very narrow use.
Well this way of playing the game is very effective but in the same time it kills the spirit of it. After having played the testlive and now the 3.0 for a lot of hours i notice that that wonderfull hammer is so nice to build things but in fact it almost makes all the workbench system obsolete and what you gain in efficiency you loose it in realism. For people who are mainly focused on PVP or Just want to have fun with friend in PVE it's great, but for people like me who are more focused on role play it's a trap. For example making an altar for a religion was a lot of work and dedication but now as you showed it in two clicks you switch religion in seconds.
And it's the same for everything you build, before what you built had a certain value, you were proud of it but now, poufff!! you erase it and you build something else.
It's very practical but also it removes a lot of value to it. That was my phylosophical moment of the day !!😆
It's a viable topic. Design is about how it feels, so even if the costs are the same the way you build it does make a difference, just as you say.
Also I for example used to run around with finished parts like a chest in PvP to plop down and save some stuff in when I got into a fight. Or just all the parts to set up a forward base. Now I need to watch out not to accidentally spend/remove the ingredients in the meantime.
@@ViolosD2I Exactly, now when you need to carry something you have in a base to another, it's much more work and attention. You need top keep track of all the ingredients you will need. You can't just remember what parts every building element will need.
Before it was simple, you build all you need in your base, load your bearer, go to you new base and just place them. I always had some stuff ready to use, but now i have to open the build menu with the hammer look at which parts i will need, make some calculations, gather everything and be carefull not to make a mistake or i have to go back to fetch what i forgot to take.
And worse it takes more slots in the inventory, sometimes it's much heavier and so on.
We should have the choice to either dismantle with the hammer or store the item whith the wheel menu as before.
To be honest man, whenever I play with role play in mind I just set my own barriers. Seem to easy to build the temple? Bulshit that the building was easy but your deity need an item from a nearby mountain or enemy to bless the temple or something :p
I agree. It's very silly to expect that if I build something and then take it apart to build something else that is very different it wouldn't take different materials. Or I wouldn't lose materials in the dismantling. It was more realistic before.
Does age of sorcery include base game???

as a new player... no idea what corruption does or why I would or wouldnt corrupt stats. also... watching a dancer removes corruption? that sounds backwards.

You gain corruption after casting a spell. Corruption basically reduces your stamina and health cap, and keeps reducing if you gain more corruption. As bad as it may sound, you’ll have to have a certain percentage of corruption to cast higher level spells, so being at least 20% corrupted is beneficial. To remove corruption, you have to obtain an entertainer thrall. They will dance and remove your corruption if you’re in a certain distance of them. It’s super balanced once you learn more about it.
Think of it like Conan uses the different dances in it's different religions. Tribal dancing etc.. It's positive energy, protects, adds life, helps cheer you up, and raises your spirit. Therefore removing corruption

Yeah, I have found that anywhere a sorcerer spawns you can get a tier 4 spawn even in the newbie areas along the river.
@@O-D-X That's amazing. tyty! I get there's no real "need" for them but...I just can't not have named thralls. They feel much more personal and part of your army instead of "Fighter 1/2/3" lol.

@@niakitten2937 I don't know what system you're playing on, but...on PC you can rename your thralls. I give names to my pets and to thralls all the time.
@@joshuawagner2590 I get that, but naming a thrall yourself and finding someone with their own name are different feelings altogether. Plus, you can't rename thralls that go into crafting benches.
do people play on the new map? or is that map empty? new to the game and im suprised how much i like it. should have a much bigger player base than it has but theirs enough players. Only gripe i have is max clan size should be 5 or 6 and maybe wipe the servers every three months or so. Have seasons so big clans cant kill servers and encourage new players to stay and play the game. Really fun game though.

The players either burnt themselves out playing - or are in the process within their solo/dedicated servers lolol I got so sick of server joining just for massive drama or split clans to wipe months of work in 1 hour
@@ElizabethAmanna Yeah, games got all the things in place to be a really good game, just some awful choices by devs, i played for a week or so but the lagging servers just forced me to quit, shame really good game.
