Your ranking system is pretty dope. A lot of can definitely relate to the other games you listed and it would give us stronger incentive to play those classes once we find our groove. That being said, I wonder if the dwarf has an a buff or a passive ability since they cannot use magic. It wouldn't be fair for evryone else to be more well rounded than than them.
Dwarves have always been unable to be mages. It's been the lore since the first game in the series. Giving them buffs would make them 'best-in-slot' for every Warrior and Rogue, which would make playing those classes just feel bad as every other race.
First time I've ever even considered running a mage in these types of games, looks absolutely amazing. Plays as I always wanted my mage experience to look like, a battleMage capable of great ranged combat and great cqc! Running all 3 just to be sure!
I am really liking the warrior in this game, that ultimate from the slayer spec was amazing. The ability to chain combos with different weapons also looked awesome, especially from someone who plays games at high levels.
I've ALWAYS chosen to be a Mage in my first playthrough of any of the Dragon Age games and The Veilguard won't be any different. Shadow Dragon Mage seems the route to take and top it off with life steal specialization.
I mean, credit where its due each class actually feels uniquely fun now. One of my biggest gripes with DA2 and Inquisition is that Mage felt like it had the coolest options and was most appropriate for the main character. That being said, it does look like they took Knight-Enchanter, probably the most popular mage spec from Inquisition, and straight up made it an integral part of the Mage playstyle. Definetly an upgrade in my opinion.

Really appreciate the deep dive into the Specializations! Been waiting for that for a long time. I'm most surprised by how fun Evoker looks; Spellblade is at the top of my list, but I'm also a big fan of the flashy sorceries in Elden Ring, so Evoker might need to be my second Mage run. Also, the Slayer Ultimate looks nuts. Who needs to cast Meteor when you can just turn yourself into one? Cheers!
As many people here, I just need to point out that BioWare, EA and also IGN completely dropped the ball on the marketing here…your video trully does justice to the combat, which looks absolutely amazing tbh 😮 can’t wait to get my hands on this.
This is the BEST video ive seen so far of class customization explanation for a game like this. Everytime a game like this comes out, I get anxiety wondering which class im going to choose but so nice to have seen a video that makes me feel confident and knowledgeable about which one im choosing. Thanks man! Great job!
Everyone else: What class are you playing?
Me: Yes.
I'm thinking rogue, but man, this video is really making me think about Battle Mage.
Same. Those spellblade dagger combos looked clean.
Let's be honest with each other we will pick rogue right away but definitely gonna give a shot to mage immediately after the first playthrough.
@@dennisdzeko3916 assuming my basic ass doesn't do it first playthrough
@@blainehock754 I speak for all our asses.
Giving them buffs would make them 'best-in-slot' for every Warrior and Rogue, which would make playing those classes just feel bad as every other race.
this video should be put into the game to watch before you start. easily the best class breakdown video iv'e seen for any game ever great job.
First time I've ever even considered running a mage in these types of games, looks absolutely amazing. Plays as I always wanted my mage experience to look like, a battleMage capable of great ranged combat and great cqc! Running all 3 just to be sure!
I've been a mage class in every Dragon Age game I've played. I will continue the Trend, specifically a battle mage. Let the Chantry come I'm ready 💪
Battle/melee mages are the best. Down with the Chantry!
I am really liking the warrior in this game, that ultimate from the slayer spec was amazing. The ability to chain combos with different weapons also looked awesome, especially from someone who plays games at high levels.
Dude this is seriously the first video I’ve seen about this game that’s gotten the information across in an informative and entertaining way👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
That's what I do! (ideally with every new game)
what about top surgery scars
Great video. Having some comparisons with similar games/play styles will help when I create my first character when the game comes out.
I've ALWAYS chosen to be a Mage in my first playthrough of any of the Dragon Age games and The Veilguard won't be any different. Shadow Dragon Mage seems the route to take and top it off with life steal specialization.
You had me at “You can charge big stick…”
I mean, credit where its due each class actually feels uniquely fun now. One of my biggest gripes with DA2 and Inquisition is that Mage felt like it had the coolest options and was most appropriate for the main character.
That being said, it does look like they took Knight-Enchanter, probably the most popular mage spec from Inquisition, and straight up made it an integral part of the Mage playstyle. Definetly an upgrade in my opinion.
Incrediblly well done video. Looking forward to playing this game
The three of them seem really nice to me with a lot of nice variations and they all look quite spectacular!
