What a great inspiring story. It is important to have authentic actors, and I loved seeing Robert's excitement and recognition for his part in all of it. Unfortunately it only centres around him. He deserves all the accolades he gets; he was the perfect one to do it; but so was Steven, the young black actor. I was quite taken by how well he projected all his feelings and his own transition in the film. He moved me. They both did. Bravo.
Just watching the film and the making of the film was a very human experience. One we all should have. So humbling, touching, authentically good and true. Lovable characters in their own right and such an inspiring filmmaker. Love Doug!
I've been binge watching so much crap every day because we are still in total lockdown here in Melbourne,Australia ... but I thank God, Allah, Jehovah or whoever is up there that I randomly came across this short film Feeling Through. It truly has made my year!
I stumbled across this short somehow in my list and gave it a view. It was well worth the time to watch the film and this journey to the Oscars. Congratulations on your accomplishment and for bringing to life such a beautiful and touching story. Hearing the sidebars like how Robert was casted and that Doug and Arte not only reconnected, but became good friends is the story and lesson we all need to hear and learn from.
I really hope this becomes a feature. And that the original cast is in the film. Hopefully as the leads. Keep promoting this. The deaf-blind community deserve more exposure. We are all connected ❤️
I 💕 this short film! I can watch it again and again! EVERYONE involved should be proud! It's a beautiful story and to have the deaf & blind community have their first actor is MARVELOUS! I pray to see more films like this.
there are no words for such an exquisite piece of artwork, its a masterpiece, i saw its recommendations often on my youtube lists but watched today and it is an experience. i was feeling this change in me but not been able to understand what it was, then i got the word here, humble.
Feeling Through was a very good movie that should've won and instead they got robbed. The Two Distant Strangers that took home the win, the acting was predictable at times and I it felt more satirical but t least this had more depth and ingenuity. I thank everyone for all the participant in making this small feature possible and hopefully many more future projects can be made while spreading awareness of the community. God bless!
