I've looked at these since you had those on your table sale a couple months ago and about all I don't like is the holes in the blades on most models since that can trap gunk and cause rust.
They have some higher priced ones now in 154CM and M390: the Titan and Enforcer is M390 and the Gentleman's is 154CM
I have a large model Cobratec in OD Green. I don't remember the model number off hand. But I believe it's the double edge dagger with Aluminum handle. Satin finish on the blade i think. Anyway, I got it from a knife dealer friend when he first got them in. He had just listed them at $80 , and shortly after I bought it he changed it and realized he couldn't sell them that cheap. So I got lucky and got a steal. Anyway it's very nice quality as far as I can tell. Much nicer than those Lightning OTF cheapos from China
Cool Video and yes the Tri-wing hardware Microtech homage kind of does it for me in a not good way lol but I agree 100% on the Infidel, WTF guys put a slab of S30 or something for that price. I have the Mini and hate that chisel grind honestly and the double edge but actually Love the Knife for EDC comfort. Cool Video stay safe my Friend

My Trip wing screws were in so tight, I didn't think I'd ever get all of them out...There was absolutely no reason for them to have been installed so tight.. I got 3 of them out fairly easy...the other 3 were a nightmare...Other then that it's a pretty good knife. This price range is about the Max I'm going to pay for an OTF, because I still consider them toys, I'll take a good folder anytime. Nice review, Thanks...
I'm not gonna try to say these are HIGH quality knives, BUT My UTX 85 ($260) is currently at Microtech for the 2nd time since January with some broken internals.
So if i buy a otf that i have to take a 3 hour drive to get to were they are legal do I take a chance on a cobra tech or a infidel because I won't be able to warranty it ? But I won't be using it much ?
What you're calling their "zinc model" is an aluminum alloy I believe it's a 5053 aluminum alloy
that's a silly mistake there are lots of municipalities including all of Colorado where you cant "Conceal carry" any blade over 3.5 so it probably would limit their customer base who cant buy auto knives "shrug" hopefully they fix that

No. They are good for the price though, but the materials, craftsmanship, machining, warranty and customer service of Microtech sets them apart. Plus they machine 100% of the knife on-site. They don’t just assemble Chinese parts and put a “made in the USA” sticker on it. I would take a cobra tech over a d2 infidel though.

In the video you mention that they over-estimated the length of the dagger blade. I have a King Cobra that's advertised as 4" but it is 3.8" (and that's being pretty generous with the tape too). I like the knife but they need to be more honest with advertising. I wonder if they measure the blade out of the handle including tang maybe? I don't know, Not taking it apart just to see.
I don’t have mine anymore but the dagger blade on the King Cobra was 4 inches.
@@LuvThemKnives maybe they changed suppliers since then? I just got it this weekend from White mountain auto knives. It's exactly the same length as my Adamanti Samson and when I measured it with a tape measure it's short of 4". I wonder if the steel would test the same as when you did that video and measured Rockwell and composition?

For the money cobrateck are good enough for daily use.
The cutting issue with the Benchmade is because of the blade geometry. None of those dagger type with multiple angles like that are going to be good slicers. They get fat in the center. In my opinion daggers (double edged) are meant more for being stabby. Piercing as you like to say
