    You never want to use a typical knife lubricant (KPL, Nano Oil, Mineral Oil, etc.) in an OTF. Only use a “dry” lubricant such as Rem Oil or Heretic’s specific OTF lubricant. Please pin this comment so everyone sees this..

      Hollywood has made certain things look dangerous for years that aren’t . That is a big problem in the pew pew industry. I suggest buying a Ritter Houge at some point as all sales contribute to his mission to change silly knife laws all across the country. It doesn’t hurt that his RSK is one of the best folders ever made. USA made 100%.

    • @leetinder2314
      @leetinder2314 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's actually a pretty common mistaken idea. So you're not alone in that.
      It definitely helps that people are dispelling that myth.
      That's not to say that there isn't a bit of danger tho. Depending on how pointy the tip of the blade is, if you say... foolishly fire it off straight into bare skin, yes there is enough force to break the skin. But it's going to be more of a "clean it off and put a bandaid on it" wound, rather than a "have to put stitches in it" wound.

      Nobody deleted your comment I actually answered it, I don't delete comments unless they are spam, they are labeled made in 🇺🇸 because it takes 51% to legally labeled that, it doesn't say 100% made in the 🇺🇸 which is when every part was made and ensembles in the USA. Even the USA made Kershaw knives are that way and many other USA made knives, unless they say 100%

    Looks like a great OTF for the price. Not into then but for those who are it seems like a good option. Im with you on assisted knives, feels like they don't want to make a knife with good action so they make it assisted bunch of bull. Might want to consider some smaller makers an maybe even multi-tools like Leatherman for USA made knives under $100. And maybe even some EDC fixed blades that are USA made. Then i bought a second one and out of the box same thing by not locking when closing the blade.. bhq was great and let me send both back and they gave me a 50 dollar credit. US made knives under 100$? Gerber Gator in 154cm (~45$, but on sale as low as 28$), Kershaw link 20CV (80$ or so), Kershaw Leek (~50$) in 14c28n, Kershaw Bareknuckle in 20cv (got mine for around 80$), there was (IDK if still around) a US-made Boker folder in 154cm (on sale at knife center for 40 something$), the Kershaw launch series in CPM154 are around 100$. We definitely need more! Forgot about the Knockout (got mine in M390 for around 80$), but you just mentioned it. Yes, I wish Kershaw used more of their KVT bearings in their folders (as well as 14c28n in their budget lines). So many of the Kershaws could potentially fit in that category if they just did those two things.

      @@NeevesKnives it’s double. But obviously you can pull the blade out further. But it doesn’t move any way else. But I don’t know if it’s intentional haha. After about 2 months there’s a mark along the blade where I think it’s been rubbing on way jn and out. But I’ve been using it daily.

    Was thinking the whole time they look like a cobratec and then I saw the cobratec logo on the opposite side of the boker logo. Definitely cobratec made, American made, they’re from Texas, my state, the best state. Dollar for dollar better than microtech, don’t get me wrong microtechs are nice but imo overpriced . Came close to buying the cobratec but I didn’t bc I didn’t know that otf shut if you stab them hard so that was a deal breaker for me but at the store I was in I got to handle both and the cobratec just feels so much better sure it’s d2 but still a very good steel

    • @NeevesKnives
      @NeevesKnives  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      A good quality otf shouldn't shut if you stab them, I've seen budget ones hammered through wood let alone quality ones, they will stop only during firing, once they are opened they shouldn't disengage during stabbing atleast without breaking

    • @jla442
      @jla442 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dustin that blows man get that warranty if possible and Neeves I didn’t know this I was told this at the store i was in and never really bothered to see if it was true,I stand corrected, appreciate the knowledge. Also I guess I never really bothered for learning more on OTFs bc I dislike the blade play they have but that’s the nature of the beast and the deadlock is too much money for me to excuse on a knife but with this new knowledge I might pick up this Boker or a Cobratec I can deal with a blade play if it can stab

    Maybe its hard to find US made knives under 100$, when most of all big US knive companies have moved their productions of knives of under 100$ (budget knives) outside the US because its cheaper labor etc. And that good knives from US have a pricepoint above the 100$ range 😊 plus if you exclude the buck knives and Kershaw
