    I was skeptical at first because they gave me gas station knife vibes, but mine has been so reliable. It’s a wicked fun OTF that I don’t have to care too much about what happens to it. Also, the markings and logo give me cheesy 80s action vibes which I have grown to really like.

      Agreed. But I’ve been shocked at the build quality. Have had to take mine apart and clean but easy to do. Thanks for watching

    The only negative things I've seen about these knives are that they're dull, & that's from people buying the dagger blade & I guess not understanding what different edge angles are. I purposefully bought one with a dagger blade, one serration that way it's a good all rounder. Plain edge when I need it, serrations when I need it, & a thrusting point. Sure, it won't be the best cutter with the angle, but I'm already aware of that. Can't wait to get mines

      I try to make sure my blades are the D2 steel it holds up very well and easy to sharpen that edge.

    This seems exactly like a lightning Elite OTF.
    Inside & out.

      It IS! Same handle with different texture. And a supposed D2 steel. Same pocket clip. It's a Lightning, with better steel (supposedly) they add $50 with their name on it and a little better steel. Yes, Lightning & Lightning Elited have great actions. I wish he took it apart. To see the inside. That would be 100% proof.
      I'm not saying it's a bad deal. Just so ya know, it's a $30-$35 knife with $50 added for D2 BLADE VERSUS 440.
      IF I could get one for $50 I'd buy one or even 2. But not $78-$80 bucks.

    I picked one up the other day at a gun show $65 plus the $10 entrance fee nice Knife. I didn't know that the parts are from china and assembled in Texas just like Infinity knives with a lifetime warranty until i called Cobratec . You can get the same Quality if you buy a Lightning from Perry knife works for half the price but no warranty. I have a Lightning that I have used every day for about 2 years descent work knife but the Cobratec is a little nicer looking. The quality seems the same.

      IF ITS D2 STEEL ACTUALLY, D2 IS BETTER THAN 440 ON A LIGHTNING. I'M A LIGHTNING FAN, BIG TIME. It's the same shape, weight, dimensions, except grippier outside. Really wonder if it's just a 440 fancied up Lightning?? I'd love to see the insides. 1 or 2 springs, etc.

      I’ve heard of some people having negative feedback. I haven’t had anything yet that wasn’t user error or handle by there customer service. What happen to yours if you don’t mind sharing? Just curious.

      Slide the knife up slowly up n down while playing with the switch until it relooks the blade or get a tiny screwdriver

      you should read the instructions, pull the blade all the way out till it clicks and it will work perfectly, OTF knives are designed to not deploy if there is any resistance when the blade is deployed, it's a safety feature.

      I just take it apart. Dirt and pocket lint get in there. I also take it apart to lube it too. Super easy to clean and lube with only a couple of parts on the inside

    THEY don't make diddly. THEY assemble. Seems to look super grippy, I like that. It's the same Size dimension, shape as my BELOVED💖💖LIGHTNING ELITE. Real D2??? Hmmmm? My scale says 4.0 oz. for my Lightning Elite. IN ALL REALITY, IT IS A LIGHTNING! WITH A DIFFERENT OUTSIDE TEXTURE❗❗Wonder if anyone has had the blade steel tested. Sure wish Luvthemknives, would have his guy test these.

      An OTF for under $100 what do you expect, your Lighting is a cheap knife and so are these.

    • @CaptDavesSportfishing
      @CaptDavesSportfishing 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@robh3267 IF its D2, looks like I can order a D2 blade put it in my Lightning Elite. Your "ligt weight" has the same pocket clip as a $30 Lightning Elite. That the exact same body but with different texture. And same number stamped on the replaceable blade.

    That's a cheap version from Cobratec, their premium models are much nicer and offer some of the best blade steel available, I carry and use mine everyday and the D2 blade is razor sharp, they are close to the quality of a Microtech but cost almost half as much with a lifetime warranty, they are great knives.

      What's the handle difference with this lightweight vs the standard ones. I'd be nice losing 2 ounces but I do love my nice medium

  • @peterzachar1689
    @peterzachar1689 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Sorry but they are not lightweight at all, CTK1 is 100 grams heavier than Combat troodon and 150 grams heavier than Ultratech, and you can feel it when it's in your pocket or hand, and CTK1 is unfortunately really dull right from the factory, but it's cheap and functional.

      This is the lightweight one at about 100 grams the fs and ctk mediums are about 158 grams. I have gotten use to it and love the fs

      Exactly. Honestly the only one I’ve tried felt and looked the exact same as one of my Cobrateks. Probably made in the same China plant. Have you tried any Cobrateks?
