Duuuude, it stopped my heart, even tho there was a happy ending. Thanks for the video, will be preping on changing the belt myself. Really do not want to pay 2000€ in Germany.
he used power tools on torx bolts, first he rounded up the start to record and showed exactly how he destroyed bolt in first place... But other than that thank you for the video :)
Hi Everyday Value mechanic, Where about you base? I ask because I need good mechanic for my Audi A6 C7 2.0tdi. If you nearby I have few jobs asap. Thanks
@EverydayValuedMechanic I'm from S.Yorkshire so 1.40hr driving. I need few jobs done like engine mount bushes, front suspension lower arms, Prevented jobs like Odma - Oil separator or PCV Valve Sonda Lambda Glow plugs New crankshaft pulley and new drive belt Then in August/Sep new clutch and flywheel Problem is you abit far away I just need good Audi specialist to make car like new but somewhere closer .
@@beastbody5848 I would recommend to find garage closer to your home, not only you gonna save money on fuel but also, if there will be some hickups and cars stays on the ramp over night you not gonna have place to stay over night.
Very lucky save there with leaving bolts it, great informed video

Happy to share emotions, good luck with your upcoming job, hope this video gives some help! 😇
That somewhat reminds me of doing the timing belt on my v6 Passat b6. I'm sure you've done that sort of VAG engine before.
A very butt very good and honest video . The details are beautiful and very informative. I simply love it 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Thanks for comment!
Why not use 2 long bolts to put the front in servicemode? To lock it use a 6mm drill...
It make sense now, maybe something i should consider in future, up till this moment I never encounter problem with these shorter bolts
Long live old Cars and Chain belts.
I thought a sh1t too on first start, but credit to you for leaving the mistake in the video.
Thanks
Excellent video mate!
Do you think its possible to do the auxiliary belt without removing the whole front end?
Hi, yes it is possible and I have video how to do it - you can watch it here
th-cam.com/video/Le79Z-noviw/w-d-xo.html
Thank you!
That’s been done wrong
The 3 bolts on the cam sprocket should have been loosened first before setting the tension
Thanks, i’ve keep that in mind
he made several mistakes and it was necessary to replace all the new screws that came to him
Even the high pressure pump gear should be loosen too while tensioner is set. For this work you should review the manufacturer introductions.
Hello how much money just for change workmanship?
Why was it not turned over by hand before starting?
It was, at 28 minutes.
I did, but they i lock it again and second time I didnt turn by hand as in my head i already turn it
🎉😊❤
