Two Classic guys.. Great idea to join forces. I really appreciate your commodore, personalities, and wealth of knowledge you convey in these videos. I will be purchasing the shovelhead line. It will be my first sinking line. I can't wait to try it. I am only a novice fly fisherman. Here in Northeast PA. So.. Thanks for everything you guys do.
I've been using Kelly's techniques on the Provo River for years now. The man has put me on too many huge browns for me to count. So when he speaks, I listen. Streamer fishing is my passion. The tug is my drug!.
I do love that Streamer Max Long. Also, I did take that one to the Amazon and it was perfect for about 1.5 days before the coating started to go (I knew that was going to happen). Any chance we could get a warm water version of that line?
Ok, oddest question you’ll get on your TH-cam page…. What is the paint color of the green wall behind you? I’m painting my fly tying room and love that color!
Thanks for checking with us but you'd have to contact Brian or Dev directly through the shop for that info. We don't have that intel here....but they probably do? You can e-mail them or call them.
Great video and, as usual, I learned a lot. Thank you. Quick question: if you're carrying 3-4 "lines with you", are you storing each on a separate reel, spool, or are you respooling each time? I have to imagine respooling isn't the answer but curious on the approach and if carrying $100 line on $300 reels for about $1,600 worth of options is really a good investment.
Thanks for watching. Please send any and all questions directly to Brian at the shop and he'll be happy to help. You can e-mail him or call him. He does not monitor the comments here but of course works in the shop every day.
Do you guys think this is a good option for fishing lakes? Ive been using the streamer max long on my 6wt for a while now. I love this line! Ive been using it on lakes for trout and bass but just curious what a professional thinks. In my opinion its been great on the lakes so far but wasnt sure if theres a better recommendation out there. Thank you for the video
If I'm zooming the sinking running line off the floor of a boat I don't have to worry about arializing the cast. Its easy to zoom it off in one back cast. But what is the trick for wading??? I mostly wade in thigh deep water. It's hard to get the streamer max long to rip up out of the water from my feet when it's a couple feet down on the bottom. I'm absolutely a rookie, I'm hoping there's a simple answer. Thanks
Hands down you two are my favorite fly fisherman.
Thanks so much for watching.
Agreed 👍
