Wow Is so amazing how different cultures are related some how, I'm from El Salvador and we love platains and kasaba(yuca root) I never try African food before and I think is time, I love trying different type a of food. Thank you for this video
I’m eating this now with some egg stew but I blend the cassava and plantain together before I cook them. My husband is from Nigeria and he’s gotten me hooked on African food ❤❤. So much for that super strict diet and exercise routine I was on lol 😂.
Looks so nice and appetising in the early 90s our mothers pounded cassava in that shape served with either mud fish or catfish got directly from rivernile, but today it is difficult to find a family still preparing cassava in that style because of the western style of preparing food especially the fast foods, thanks and lots of love from the banana republic of UGANDA 🌶️ 🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬
Great stuff! U can also blend the chopped plantain & cassava raw, then cook it like banku style on fire whilst it thickens. Moulding the fufu smoothly can also be done by tipping the hot fufu onto a water sprinkled clingfilm & moulding it to your desired shape- round or oblong!
@@ernestinaagyei4361 Hi! I never cooked fufu, I watched different recipes and I think yours is the best cause it's more simple to make it with already cooked ingredients instead of cooking them in the pot and try to get rid of lumps. Is the result the same? Maybe instead of putting them in the blender I can smash with that potato utensil into a bowl, so I don't have to put it out the blender difficultly. What do you think about it?
I’m from Trinidad and I love fufu. I live in Toronto and usually pay $10 for delivery to get fufu. I’ve been wanting to make it for so long so yesterday I went and bought my cassava and plantains. I will try this method it’s my goo processor
Saw this yesterday. Did this last night did not boil cassava and plantain soft enough. Loved it coarse. In the islands we use corneal we call it coco ( c instead of f) turn corn, fungi.
This is the authentic version Fufuo/fufu from Ghana 🇬🇭 are eaten with only liquid soups. Exactly!!! I’m seeing Nigerians all over the comments talking about how this is wrong, how she’s using too much water; too soft; and she shouldn’t use her hands. This is the original Ghana fufu. Nigerians eat pounded yam, last time I checked!!!! 😑
Hi Ernestina , thanks for sharing. I did it the other way. I blended the plantain plus either cassava or potato raw with a little water. Then transfer the mixture into a stainless steel pan and cook while stirring until it cooks becoming moundable ball in the pan.
Hi Valerie, you're welcome and yes that is also another way you can do it, but this way imitates the traditional way it's pounded back home which is why I prefer it this way.
Ive been wanting to make something called Yebe that my daughters grandma makes. She used plantains, casava, goat, and and some other stuff but i cant find the recipe. Saw these ingredients which were close and stopped by. Thanks for the inspiration 😅
Wow amazing recipe 👌👌👌👌 I really like this video. This is recipe look very beautiful and delicious. Your work very well and you are very talented sister 🙏🙏🙏 May God bless you and all time happy your life 😊😊🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🌹🌹🌹🌹💞💞💞💞💞💞 Thank you for sharing.
I have one so good, you can get one in agros, l use for fufu all the time, the blender is called ninja, l use it for almost 5 year now, and still look new
Very nicely done. Please show us how you do the soup. I am already salivating just looking at it. Watching from Northwest British Columbia, Canada, 3 hours drive from Alaska.
I tried many times using my ninja blender but all attempts failed..... You can simply blend your cassava and plantain , cook it in the microwave. All the best.
Course, if you use the right blender as per the video you'll be fine. This is the only way I make my fufu now - but you can't use a normal blender for this.
I don’t have it on the TH-cam yet but in the meantime please check my Instagram @Etinaa where I have the full recipe for the goat meat soup under my highlights ☺️

Stupid question

Beautiful recipe 🥰 personally I use my Ninja combo dough hook, instead of the blade (less of a hazard, for the same yummy result😉)
Nice I’ll check that out!
Please show how you make, Goats peanut soup. THANKS
Reminds me of Puerto Rican mofongo and Dominican mangu... I want to try making the foo foo as it’s the original!💕

Thank you very much for the tip✨🙌🏼

Nicely done my dear! Next time you can use the "tapoli" to smooth the fufu out...i forgot the name...I think it's "tapoli"😆

Thanks for sharing. But too much hands and water? Use a spatula next time and to mould just move the plate around and toss upside down it works.
You suppose to use your hands
Ppl do what's easier for them. Maybe that's how she finds it comfortable. Just enjoy the recipe!

Nice
So the do not put both???
Hey , where is mine ?

Yes please show
It doesnt need salt
You can add a little if you want
Do you eat it cold or you can warm it again? Can you put salt in it
You eat it straight! You can warm it but its really weird and like changes it…
No salt, think of it as bread
Please where will I get some
You can order the blender on Amazon
Very fast, thanks for sharing

Hey welcome. I love the am back lol. Me too am back
Thank you!! 😂
Akwajofu) fuofuo paaaa oh
Loool, if you like sweating whilst cooking feel free to continue oo!
why
I broke a Montel blender trying to make a banana fufu..it started smoking and stopped working
Pius Bayo Just blend it raw and then get the blended one and stair in a pot on a stove
@@daintyflygirl4va I appreciate the solution .mine was cooked when the blender failed..
You can't use a normal blender for this, it will need to be the Ninja as it has special and stronger blades.
Name of blender
CAN i use juice blender please
No you can’t, it has to be something like what I used or another food processor with strong blades.
New support
😀😀😀👌👌 super
Thank you
Can ripe plantain be used instead of green plantain?
I would like to know as well?
Green plantain is the best. But if you want to use ripe, then it shouldn't be extremely ripped but medium or little ripped.
Definitely never the ripe plantain for fufu. Actually why not?
Can any blender be used for this....
No, you need to use a Ninja Blender due to the blades it has. A normal blender won't work and you will damage it.
Thank u for bringing this to my attention. God bless you.
Where can I get some of the blender to buy pls
You can purchase the blender from Amazon ☺️
I have one so good, you can get one in agros, l use for fufu all the time, the blender is called ninja, l use it for almost 5 year now, and still look new
Pls what the name of the blender

Use ninja food processor with dough button
Does it actually work? Coz I've been tryna find an easier way to make my fufu
I tried many times using my ninja blender but all attempts failed.....
