    I beg to disagree. The diavel v4 can do all the things you want from fast riding to packing it and touring on it with a passenger. I had it for 7 months and I love it. Got the akrapovic exhaust on it too. Which Is the only thing I regret doing because of how loud it is. If only they would come up with a proper decibel eliminator that would tone it down. But wow does it breath easier with it and shifts even faster. The looks are great too. Much sharper than a rocket.

      Yes i totally agree. Its no cruiser. I have seen this race a superbike on track and the guy still got his knee down the correct way and beat the superbike

      @hakanozdemir6113 ปีที่แล้ว

      Im looking forward to the sports exhaust to be honest. Too loud no way bro. Do you feel the extra power which they say is between 10 and 12 bhp

      the akro exhaust is def too loud (especially with baffles out) if you live in a neighborhood or urban area. @@hakanozdemir6113

    It's not me or for me. But I get it. It's fast.
    For what it cost I could buy 6 bikes that would bring a smile to my face. Enjoyed the video and RIDE SAFE OUT THERE!

    This is my dreambike. I'm saving for a while now and next year plan to buy the "thrilling black" edition. It occurs to me that many reviewers (including you) are silent about the fact that the riding position is so comfortable as a consequence of the mid position foot pegs. That is what makes this bike so attractive for taller folks like me, who are looking for a sporty ride but do not fit on "naked" bikes and do not want to ride super heavyweights like the HD or the Rocket.

      Make sure you test ride it first. I just got mine. It’s the fourth Diavel I’ve owned and the only one I’ve not liked. Its also the only Ducati I’ve regretted buying. It’s completely different from the previous models and totally lacking in torque. Most definitely not a cruiser as you need to be riding with the engine over 7000rpm to get any power and you’ll be left standing by 600’s which definitely wasn’t an issue on the previous generations.

    • @doordevloer9105
      @doordevloer9105 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@lesmurflx Hey, hanks for sharing your experience. I testrode it earlier this year. Power/torque at relatively low rpm seemed incredible, almost crazy even in higher gears. And the torque figures are not bad at all, so your assessment surprises me. If you compare the Diavel V4 to the Diavel 1260, the numbers are not that different, respectively 126 Nm @ 7500 rpm versus 128,0 Nm @ 7500 rpm. If you brake that down to torque per kg the weight reduction actually makes for better numbers, respectively (126/236 kg) 0,534 Nm/kg @ 7500 rpm for the new Diavel versus (128/244 kg) 0,525 Nm/kg @ 7500 rpm for the 1260 Diavel. And the horsepower is better across the board, respectively 168 vs 159 HP. The torque curve of the v4 is quite linear too. So your experience really puzzles me.

    I have the new V4 in the Multi-Strada and i had the old V4 in my old Multi.
    The new one is louder for some reason and if your idling around the 4k mark it can jump from 2 to 4 cyl and lurch forward, not cool if your in traffic.
    The Old v4 when you when you ticking over at trafic lights or just pull clutch in at low revs would turn to 2 cylinder but then when you let the clutch out you got a real nice throaty growl when all 4 cylinders kicked back in, I miss that,
    Seems more aggressive than the old V4, all in all i preferred the old V4.

    Nice review thank you friend. I just want to clarify for your viewers that the two cylinder deactivation is bellow 4k rev UNLESS you have the throttle open. If your going up the hears with throttle open all 4 are working even below 4k

You’re simply very good at what you do. Oh yeah,… like you, when I win the lottery I will definitely buy this brilliant bike. In fact I may sell my wife and buy one anyway. Thanks for a great review and enjoy your new GS 1300…. (Another bike I’d buy!).

    • @NothingToProve

      3-5k depending on your wrist control, I've heard horror stories of less than that but that's guys abusing the bike & tires.

    Perfect assessment of the Diavel as a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th bike. But those looks are amazing!
    Are you wearing Trilobite Jeans? If so, can you give your thoughts on them? How about a video on your choices for riding gear?

    • @NothingToProve
      @NothingToProve  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yes, the jeans are Trilobite and no I have never made a video about them. They are old, I think I got them back in 2015, just keep wearing them year after year. They work well, function well, fortunately I've never had to test out the protection 👍😁 A video on my riding gear...hmm...I'll have to think about it.
      take care,
      Scott

    • @NothingToProve
      @NothingToProve  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea, it's just different, to say one is better then the other is a matter of what one prefers. This is why I was careful and respectful of the V2, it's a great bike but now it's a V4...so...the discussions will be emotional. I just kept it on a logical level and presented the changes and how they feel. It's up to the individual to decide which is better 👍😁
      take care,
