Great review. You got it right - this bike loves to be ridden fast, but it is also smooth and refined for “normal” riding! I love how versatile it is. Easy to ride for commuting in town. Comfortable for highway cruising. And fast as hell if you want to get sporty.
Awesome review. I have a Red 2023 Ducati Diavel V4 which I use as my daily driver and I have put 6,532 miles on it so far. I live in Northern California and I commute on the Interstate 80 at traffic flow of usually around 90 mph and spurts on 100 mph to 120 mph daily. The Ducati eats it up. I just did a 350 mile trip up to Lake Tahoe to Reno NV and back to Sacramento CA. What a blast. Many Harleys, street squids, and sports cars were obliterated. Here on the mean streets is CA where they take no prisoners, the 2023 Ducati Diavel V4 gives no quarter. This is the " Slow Rider" signing out.
You said that for most people this bike is not good for touring, but it seems to me that at 26K bucks this bike is too expensive just for local rides and those that are into racing at the racetrack will prefer a racetrack bike. I have even heard of people who buy new Goldwings and then spend 1K bucks on an after market seat, something that's completely unexpected since this is supposed to be a touring bike. Maybe the DIavel V4 just needs a better seat. @@LivingOffTheSlab
The reason the mirrors didn't work for you is because they ship in the wrong position, MOMs should have noticed and rotated them back a bit to align with the handlebar marks.
My friend dropped one near moms at a gas station slipping on gummy bears . Unbelievable . it snapped the quick shifter and shift rod. i went to the lowes near the casino and jerry rigged a replacement. i am amazed a zero mile drop causing it to be in operatable. My jerry rig held up for a few weeks till the broken part was ordered at mom`s and installed. questions the design here. My wife being short really wants one of these so in a year or so i see one joining her side of the garage.
Craig you need that Ducati in your garage when your late to the dentist or you have to take out that dam whipper snapper down your street lol or to get that ice cream home fast before it melts !!!my butt is hurting just looking at that seat .👍
ducati is a little misleading about service. they require a yearly service wether it’s at 9k or not. i learned that after buying my multistrada v4s. no regrets though i love it
When I get on a motorcycle fire starts flying out of my ass... I can't behave myself with the new found power and handling of the Goldwing, on Diavel.... forget it. Although 🤔... I have to agree with you, if I won the lottery this bike would make a sweet piece of living room furniture..
The shape of the front and the fact that you sit quite far back means that you don't need a screen (although you can purchase one) but, if your riding this bike on the motorway, you're stupid, this bike is meant for the twisty back roads.
I’ll keep my XDiavel. More plastic and electronic nannies, looks so so, no real performance increase though smoother, $30k out the door before options, no thanks. Buy low mileage used and save $15k.
Took delivery of mine last week. Very happy.

Thanks for stopping by and taking the Diavel for a ride, Craig!
Thank you! Great bike, a lot of fun to ride!

Agreed, owning this motorcycle would be a dream come true
Would definitely add to the stable and add the Akropovič exhaust that sound is out of this world
Great review.
What a beauty 👍

Is it Dual Clutch Transmission?
Nope
I love the Ducati V4 sound. It would be cool to own the Diavel or even a Multistrada, but they are priced higher then even a Triumph. Someday..... lol

I think it would look great in your stable. We can talk to the Mrs.

See if they will let you take that pikes peak Multistrada out for a rip.
Coming from ducati it should've come with semi-active suspension
It does. I just didn't mention every tech spec. You can read about about all the details on the Ducati website.
Always listen to your wife.😂
Sweet bike but I don't see how you can ride a bike that powerful without a wind screen.

Fuel consumption goes out the door with ducatis and i no😊

Nice bike, but not my cup of tea!
Yawnfest.
Ugly and stupid bike. That's my opinion. But to each is own. I enjoyed your review..
Brilliant! How about making one in the 750-800cc range with a low-lag shaft drive at a lower price?
