      Thanks for the comment Nudhi, For the time I had the bike I didn't notice any heat, ive ridden a Ducati before and know exactly what you are referring to. The temp of the day I took this bike out was low, around 13 degrees, so that may change when it comes to the summer and hitting 30+ degrees.

  • @TheAgalmic
    @TheAgalmic ปีที่แล้ว

    All Diavel V4s are coming from the factory with their mirrors slightly out of alignment. Get your dealer to adjust to the marks on the bars before the handover.

    • @DSR1YT
      @DSR1YT  ปีที่แล้ว

      As mentioned in the video, this is a demo bike ive taken out to conduct this review video on, not my own personal bike. Out of alignment is a massive understatement. Ive never had a mirror that I can't put in to the right position myself. I shouldn't need a mechanic to align a mirror.

  • @michaeltelemachus5112
    @michaeltelemachus5112 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    It is not 'basically a V2' when the rear cylinders deactivate, it is acting more like a parallel twin. I don't think it is really a bruiser cruiser; the XDiavel is a though. My first time on this channel, and I enjoyed the video. Will watch more. Thank you.

    • @DSR1YT
      @DSR1YT  ปีที่แล้ว

      Apologies Michael, i might not have articulated it very well by saying ‘basically a v2’. What i meant is how the bike/engine feels under the 4000rpm, a bit jerky and it feels like it wants you to go a bit faster to smooth it out. You don’t really get this feeling with the parallel twins. If that makes sense…! Glad you liked the video and thanks for the comment. Good to have you on board!

      Not going to lie, I was a little disappointed their demo bike was in black and not red. Red makes it pop that little bit better. I couldn't afford the Akra exhaust for this haha.

      Akrapovic Exhaust the full system worth 5k or something isn't for street use, it's a racing exhaust not approved for road use, so no use to spend that extra cash , slip ons might be better and cheaper options

    Besides the snatchy throttle, any other concerns with how the bike rides?? How does it stack rank with your favorite bikes?

    • @DSR1YT
      @DSR1YT  ปีที่แล้ว

      This bike sits in a funny category in my mind, it's a funny mix between a cruiser and a lowered naked bike. It's not real relaxed like some cruisers out there, definitely more aggressive in that sense, and if you want to get on it in the twisties you won't be worrying about scraping those pegs.
      Other than the throttle it would probably be some of the vibrations coming through the bike, but they are trying something new with the front two cylinders and this is the cause of those vibrations. It's Ducati, you either love them or hate them as they do things differently to the rest of the bike market half the time. Ride Safe.

    • @TheAgalmic
      @TheAgalmic ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I own this bike and I haven't seen any snatchy-ness while cruising through town or any vibrations.

    Why you say V2? When running on front cylinders only, it's more like I2 (inline TWO)

    • @DSR1YT
      @DSR1YT  ปีที่แล้ว

      When I said this I wasn’t really referring to the physical layout of the engine. More the fact of how the bike felt under 4000rpm, a bit jerky and not particularly smooth, some traits which you get with a v2 engine. Apologies if I didn’t articulate it properly in the video.
      Hope it makes a little more sense now. 😁

      Thanks Mart. I get where you are coming from, it’s why I mention in the video of it being a good second bike potentially. Everyone is different, I got my Harley as a second bike, I don’t think I could have one as the sole bike in my garage though. Same goes for this Diavel.

    • @DSR1YT
      @DSR1YT  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’d go more in it. I sat on the street fighter afterwards and that was like I was perched on top of it, a very strange stance for a naked bike.
      The Diavel is a very comfortable riding position, not aggressive on any of its angles Ie wrists, knees etc.
