@@BC-ny3zbI wouldn't. You see it coming right towards you, you are excited, you go into a bit of a haze as it's coming in, you go for the play and!
Shoot. It was fair, wasn't it. Shoot. I screwed up. There's literally nothing I can do to fix my mistake.
I've done it. I know people who have done it. It isn't intentional, and it sucks for everyone it happens to. Not saying truly intentional interference doesn't happen, when a guy sticks out his leg to trip the running back, but when you slump in your chair, it's a mistake, one loads of people make in the frenzy of live events.
This is the kind of quality breakdown I've been missing. It's got a little of everything!
Sabol is what a MLB player should be! Class act for sure…👍
Felt bad for the kid, he obviously felt really bad about it. Hopefully he sees this video and all the comments saying they feel for him
Nice job Blake. That kid had to feel like crap with everyone booing him...
Kid shouldn’t of done that and he knows better. The way the kid showed remorse and accountability makes up for it 10 times over. He showed more maturity than most adults do in that situation. Great job by the player to recognize this and give him a little love
Should've been removed.
@@kentstallard6512bro chill
@@kentstallard6512he is a little kid leave him alone
Kid actually was a lot more torn up about it than most adults I've seen that have interfered
@@kentstallard6512 what the hell is your problem
Sabol has my respect! What a class act!
Good on him for dapping the kid up, everyone makes mistakes and that was really close to the line.
If Moses had reacted like this to Bartman and not how he actually reacted, Bartman wouldn't be remembered at all.
I’m not so sure. Fans were pretty rabid that night.
The context was very different. Who knows what would have happened if this was a deciding game of the NLCS
@@mam362tbf, it’s not bartman’s fault the cubs fell apart
@@midwestproblem3162 sure, but the scenario was much more emotionally charged for the players
It's a very solid point about the difference of being a playoff game.. but. Moses' reaction to the play turned what would've been a tiny fire into a full blown Forrest fire.
absolute CLASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hey man, it's baseball.. these things happen. just another variable in the game. fans need to stop attacking other fans. i get it, it sucks.. but you gotta understand that some people just lose themselves in the excitement. it's all good. Sabol is a class act for going over there and calming the kid down, no doubt.
Stand up move from Sabol for sure . 100% kid was just excited. Probably saved a bit of one of the worst feelings of that kids life.
This actually makes me wanna root for the giants more.
4:29 this fist pump breakdown was perfect 😂
That’s the difference. Instead of that kid having a terrible experience at a baseball game that may have caused him to never go to another game, he made a fan for life. It’s a game and you’re playing to win, but baseball is just as much about the fan experience as it is winning the game. I wish even 5% of MLB players nowadays had the class that this small act showed.
That was a classy move by Sabol. He's a good dude and knew not to hate on a kid who was just excited to get a ball. Much respect to him for making that kind gesture!!
Jomboy coming in clutch with the breakdowns.
"I think we need to pay more attention to catch faces" lmao. Love this channel.
I really want a Bartman breakdown.
It’s kinda been done to death.
It's funny because the Bartman one was nowhere near as egregious as this.
@officeman15 That has always bugged me about that moment.
Low chance that Alou makes that catch, yet Bartman gets labeled public enemy #1! Even worse is when FOX(?) & SportsCenter amplified it by plastering the poor guy on TV a week straight.
I was 10 at the time, and even I knew it was wrong and egregious
@@MarloSoBalJr not to mention the Chicago Sun Times listed his name and employer in the paper in the days that followed. Journalistic integrity at its finest.
@@officeman15 Yeah but Bartman didnt "cost them" a play-off game. I bet they wouldnt be "no big deal" if that was the case.
Jomboy you're one of the funniest people selling their funny today I swear
That fielder who fist bumped the kid was pretty cool about it all.
I was at this game. Everyone around me boo’d the kid and told him to fuck off. Then they put his face on the screen and everyone went “oh it’s just a kid nevermind.”
Dodgers fan here, but Sabol is nothing but a class act. Whata. throughful and encouraging thing for him to do!
His buddy said "Relax, it's not like Jomboy's gonna cover it dude..."
That’s super nice of the Giants player to go tell the kid it’s all good.
Blake sabol
Dude is nice
Blake Sabol has a new fan for life, me. I LOVE the way he handled this situation. ❤
I don't think you should ever get mad at a kid for something like this. He's young and people make mistakes.
I am dead with Jom's close up analysis of the fistbump.
I really don’t think him barely touching the ball made any difference on the play
"Touch my first with your fist."
Never heard it described in such an intimate way.
Feel bad for him but that was so far fair😂
Obviously fair, by 3 or 4 feet.
True, but in the heat of the moment it's harder to tell than you think. It's really hard to think straight when you're so excited about an opportunity that's rarely given. I guarantee so many other people would have made the same mistake.
Caveman human instincts trump intellectual thoughtfulness in the heat of the moment. Maybe serial killers have lizard instincts and wouldn't do this, but literally any one of us would have done the same as this kid
@@misterbeeps Imagine it from the kids perspective he is 90 degrees the view, so the foul line and the ball perspective wise are much much closer. especially traveling at 80 mph +
Yeah, but from his angle though at a ball coming 104 MPH off the bat it's a lot harder to tell.
Is that frank the tank in the background at 1:58?
the close up on the total bro fist at then end is what baseball is all about
The phone calling part was the best part 😂😂
Damn, this almost makes me want to cry. What a sweet, sweet gesture.
I love Cobb's expressions. Watch at 1:19 it's the best, ole Squidward noodle arms. LOL He gets upset when the ball goes into play. 😂😅
player interaction with the kid was best part of the deal.
The breakdown on the fist bump was bye far the best breakdown I've seen before on anything
Love it - there are people that “get it” in this world and Sabol is one of them. Good stuff.
2:03 - Point and Laugh Guy: (Upon spotting Johnny Lawrence) “GET HIM A BODY BAG! YEAAAAAH!”
Props to the player for trying to make the kid feel a bit better.
I laughed way harder than I should have at Jomboy breaking down the Giants managers “talking to each other” on the phones.
massive props to the san fran player for going over to the kid
Sabol is a great representation of how we should aspire to be. Giving compassion to those who are hurting and made a less than 10 second mistake. It’s a game but that kid will feel this forever. Silver lining was Sabol’s emotionally mature understanding of the situation.
Nice going by the outfielder to talk to the fan. Kind move
jomboys narration on the fist bump was hilarious ! 😭 ima need you to narrate my mixtape
At the end of the day this game probably means nothing to the Giant's season, but to the kid it feels like he's ruined something huge. Absolute class from Sabol to try and make him feel a bit better.
Giants won this game
Great fist bump break down. Keep up the good work.
He probably would’ve scored unless that ball caroms directly to the fielder.
We'll never know.
Simple, selfless, compassionate, class act by Sabol in the heat of the moment. Obviously a man of good character. Great to see!
Sabol met the kid and his dad after the game. They did get a pick together and I think Sabol gave them a ball
I knew this video was coming right when it happened and I was not disappointed lol. Go giants thank you jomboy for the great videos
Genuinely sweet moment that the player consoled him after
Beautiful gesture by the outfielder. So glad he did that.
