- Cambodia has four sites on the list. Angkor was listed in 1992 when the country was briefly governed by the United Nations mission after the Cambodian-Vietnamese War, in line with the 1991 Paris Peace Agreements. The site was immediately placed on the List of World Heritage in Danger in order to quickly and efficiently deal with urgent problems of conservation. In 2004, Angkor was removed from the endangered list. The Temple of Preah Vihear was listed in 2008, the Sambor Prei Kuk temple complex in 2018, and the Koh Ker in 2023.
All four sites are cultural. In addition, Cambodia has seven sites on its tentative list.
All 4 sites are amazing and well worth a visit. Angkor is by far the most popular but the other 3 sites should be on every travelers list. These are short videos of each one with a full video available.
I really enjoyed visiting each of these sites and would recommend them to anyone.
Enjoy the video!

Thanks for watching. Was fun visiting all 4 of these places during my trip to Cambodia. Can’t wait to do it again.
Another great video! Thank you! ❤
Glad you enjoyed it. I had a great time making this one. Which one is your favorite? I would have to say Angkor Wat is mine but Koh Ker is a close second.
@@endlessjourneytravels definitely Angkor for me.. 🙏
There was a great Buddhist king between King Suryavarman II and King Jayavarman the 7th that is not much known and talked about yet. His name is King Tribhuvanaditya the younger brother of King Suryavarman II. King Tribhuvanaditya built a state temple called Beng Melea similar in size to his older brother King Suryavarman II except that he was a Buddhist not a Hinduist. King Tribhuvanaditya was the first to kickstart the Buddhist reforms and later Jayavarman the 7th completed it. King Tribhuvanaditya ruled the empire at its peak around the 12th century AD but his life is yet to be studied by experts. Considered to be one of Angkor's greatest rulers.
I don’t know much about him. I knew about Beng Melea and have been to it but didn’t know who the builder was. It looks like he took the throne when he overthrew Yasovarman II. Online says he dealt with a lot of instability from his supporters until the Cham invaded in 1177. Interesting time for sure. Appreciate the information.
