Can't wait to get in to my favorite editor, Windows Movie Maker and try this
Good Luck then
+Maky Narrow lol
+Riy 11 lol
You should go full hardcore and use Ms Paint
the jokes r real
That feeling when video with all of this effects is much better than a movie...
+Эллиот Верховский heh yah... the movie was pure garbage the effects where truly amazing tho.
+Skribb a typical failure on focusing to have the CGI then not to have them in any effects but background for a love story. I meant really, they even made the entire beginning sequel as an excuse to make the movie ???@@
The movie ROCKED
The Russian VFX studio 'Main Road Post' has done an exceptional job in this movie. It is quite unfair that this studio is ranked 97 among the top animation and vfx studios in the world. They deserve to be ranked even higher.
You're absolutely right!
+Bostonite1985 Where can we see the ranking?
+nugromant mera....Here is the link..www.animationcareerreview.com/articles/2014-top-100-most-influential-animation-studios
+Bostonite1985 Only when they work fully on own risk and private contracts, not when they are payed by the ministry of culture
+Andrii Surzhenko.....As far as I am aware there are only a few countries that subsidize the VFX industry. The highest subsidy is 17.5% paid by the Canadian Government to Canadian VFX industry. Which means that Canadian VFX studios get $17.50 back for every $100 they pay as tax. Maybe the Russian Government pays the salary for the employees in VFX industry while the owner takes the responsibility for paying for the IT/Software infrastructure needed to start the studio. The point I was trying to make from my previous comment is that studios with high talent should be ranked much higher. Who pays them is irrelevant?
This is one of the most impressive things I have ever seen in my entire life. I mean holy shit, come on now. VFX artist never get the respect they deserve. These guys are far more talented than any actor, so why are they getting paid millions and VFX artists aren't? It's absurd. Maybe one day I could maybe make one of the elements in one of these shots... maybe...
Ikr?!
+Toebex Watch the documentary "Life After Pi" and you will understand why. watch?v=9lcB9u-9mVE
ok I get what ure saying that they should be paid more, but actors and VFX artists have drastically different jobs, plus there's a ton of other people who have jobs nobody really thinks about. really overall everyone has a role to play and the people who are paid more are just simply the people who the public is more interested in. everyone has talent, it's just what the public sees as being more interesting
farrex0 the tiger
Respect? Lol!
This isn't "Look what this computer can do". This is "Look at what I can make this computer do". Amazing, simply amazing. What a wonderful insight.
I watched it for like 10 times now, it doesn't get boring, amazing work!
me 2
mass effect?
I have watched it like 10 times too
Playing_Potato funny, this clip (the music too) reminded me at Mass Effect 3...
mhh, maybe the cinematic trailer, yea, a bit :D
Graphics.... Telling a story without saying a word... INCREDIBLE!!!
The fact that it looks so real to be back from 10 years ago...
one word.....amazing
this comment is strange well it was posted three years ago by a registered TH-camr with only 3 likes
that is so fucking cooooooooooooooool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You're fkng cool too🐾🍻
7:05 just briliant!
Best part
Possibilities are endless, how insane are the effects now...! Reality and virtual reality are the same...! Frigging awesome..!!!
Jaw dropping work...
Insane work !
The best VFX breakdown I've seen. Great work Main Road.
Everything is in this clip is amazing. That crashing Heinkel 111 sold it for me.
The effects of this movie... i don't have words to explain THAT amazing piece of art!
Beautiful!
2:44 , definitely the coolest part there ( and the bits following it!)
As a reasonably experienced 3D modeler, I can salute you. This is the best reel I have seen in my life.
A great piece of film made by some very, very talented people. Excellent
That last shot
heyyyyy, i found you :V
MonsterZzz Gamer hi xd
Absolutely amazing 🍻🏆👍🎥
One of the best vfx videos ever
BACK FOR 2nds... Even way cooler than the first watch!.👍
Watching it again with headphones ✨😎✨
Incredibly detailed and accurate production values Should be developed into a full length movie detailing the Battle of Stalingrad. BRAVO!!!
This is magic, goodbye film stars this is opens up a new way of making movies, good show people
Outstanding visuals. What it must of been to see the things that they saw. They saw things that others will never see. You can only imagine what it must of felt like to survive this great war. You've gotta appreciate life much more after growing through it on every side.
AWESOME!!! Brilliant Work!
How wonderful works!!! shocked!!!
Simply incredible. Lost for words. Visuals and sound are just on a higher level. Incredible.
Blown away by your talent...
And that, Michael Bay, is how explosions are done.
bay doesn't do the explosions. ILM does.
Mahesh Walatara You're damn right, dude.
Mahesh Walatara
That's right. He doesn't do any special effects actually. He did not design the robots, he did not come up with the idea (Transformers have been around for 30 years). He doesn't create the 3D models, the animations. He doesn't do the compositing, rendering, color grading. He doesn't do the cinematography or sound design. He definitely doesn't build the sets, makes the costumes, or do the actors' make up. He doesn't even edit the damn movie. So what does he do? It depends, but the bottom line is that he is responsible for every frame in his movie, and with the kind of budget he has, he can do whatever he wants. In a small budget independent film, directors don't have that kind of luxury. The have to compromise constantly. Michael Bay doesn't. If he wanted anything to look different in his films, it would look different. If ILM did a poor job with explosions, all he had to do what ask them to do it again, and give them good directions. ILM is a pretty capable VFX company... This is his movie, these are his explosions. And yes, they both suck. Another thing: Stalingrad cost $20M to make.
The only difference is Michael bays are real the majority of the time
That made me laugh out loud! Because it's ssssssooooooo on the nose!
I......I can't speak......speechless!
Out of this world!!! I'm speechless
HOAH........
This VFX company is really something.
Great job.
HOLY SHIT for me Its the reason to study Vfx
Same here!
me too, now if only I could afford a renderfarm :(
Exactly MrMartGonzo
same dream
Me too. Starting school 8/23 this year! Can't wait!
You're the champions of the world and surroundings. Definitely.
Jeez, some really complex composites, epic fire and smoke simulations.
Amazing! such a group with cooperative guidance and working together to produce a master piece is rare to be seen! This is simply jaw dropping!
That HE-111 crew were thinking "fuckng russian bias!!!!!" Yes I went there
AWESOME FANTASTIC BRAKE DOWN! LOVE IT!
I didn't realize so much of the movie was blue screen and cgi. Nice work.
Okay this should be a movie just this one
I must have watched this like 10-15 times now. The best VFX breakdown I've ever seen!
That is some talent you people have got there!!! Wow!!!
That was absolutely stunning. Even the format of the breakdown was well done
Eyyyyy another cod editor :o
Amazing!
The woman shielding her dog amongst all this mayhem is a very touching image. Some of these frames are a work of art in their own right.
This is the best fucking thing I have ever seen. The people who did this video are SSOOOOOOOO underrated that it is insulting. Hats off to all who were involved in this.
Also, the music was beautifully depressing. I'm going to be playing that a lot.
Absolutely mind blowing. How much time goes into a few seconds of finished product?
JakHC depends on the shot, some things like making the environments / models and texture painting is quite time consuming and manpower intensive, but some of the shots like particle systems effects, clouds, fire, water, etc can be set up fairly quickly but require a great deal of computer power and time to render.
All in all lots of people, lots of time, months usually
MrMartGonzo wow.
JakHC CAN U EMAGIN?
+JakHC If you go look my channel intro what is rubbish comparing something like this. It took me 3 weeks about 8 hours a day to complete... so months is accurate for something like this.
+Hellsong89 Don't mean to be a dick but, that took you 3 weeks and 8 hours a day to complete?
this made me proud of my decision to study animation :)
I'm just blown away with how far special effects have come.
عندما تتحدث عن الابداع فأنك تشاهد ذلك بأم العين المجردة
literally spent the past hour looking for this
MrTfly12345 Me too!
Wow. Magic!
The best video on youtube.
The production quality of this movie is impeccable
The ending is so.... breathtaking
When the producers see the CGI bill "uhhh..... we will pay you after we release the movie"
It's epic but still sad to watch. it really is tuching. and the animation is just beyond impressive! It's uncalculateble!
Trytix approves! =D
Avec les nouvelles génération de cinéma les images sont vraiment remarquables! qu' ils sois SF, aventures, guerres ou autres, c' est très réussis avec les technologies actuel!!!
This video alone is one of the most comprehensive and inclusive videos of CGI I've seen! Showing so many intense scenes layer by layer makes CGI all the more interesting. And I must say, the VFX artists with Stalingrad did an OUTSTANDING job!!! Kudos!
From.
Joe N.
holy shit this is awesome
Where can I watch this movie ? It looks very interesting. I heard once that the russians are doing very emotional war movies.
Rt said its supposed to be released in Feb here in the states
Opens Feb 28, 2014 in the US on IMAX 3D.
Its Stalingrad by Bondarchuk. Film is fabulously, especially in details)
if you want to watch an really good movie about stalingrad with a shitload of emotions and critisim about war watch the movie Stalingrad from 1993, made in germany
Such a beautiful piece of work based on such a horrific event.
WOW amazing !!! Fantastic graphics and sound. I was glued to this i don't think i blincked once.
0:03 Me in Realistic Battles in War Thunder. xD
KKK LOL
BEEP BEEP
basically all bombers
"Trying to cap a base but you're traveling at 500 km/h"
lol yeah
This is the meaning if "pro"
I can watch this over and over forever. Great work to everyone involved, you guys truely don't get the credit your due.
You guys do some great work. Thank you for sharing with us.
Incredible, I'm literally speechless, how did they make those fire and smoke effects? FumeFX maybe? one day I want to try something this ambitious lol If its possible for one guy or girl to do all that!
+CG Visuals # VFX It is possible: e.g. see Nicolas Brunet's "Versus - a way to shadow"
Checked it out, was really impressed! thanks
+CG Visuals # VFX you're welcome
the whole time and I didn't even close my mouth
A melhor apresentação de trabalho em 3D para filme que vi até hoje! Incrível, perfeito!
UN-FREAKING BELIEVABLE!!!!! WOW!!
i am not saying about history but as a lesson of cgi, it's good
This makes me want to play War Thunder so badly. Cool as hell
+Anti Riot dude i suggest you must have good patience and good emotion cuz war thuder will make you rage
+Hein Zaw I already do play it and I do rage from time to time. But, it can be a good game if your team is actually good
+Anti Riot Soo true one time my mate saved me with a tripplekill
Utterly amazing and mind blowing!
Inspirational work for someone like myself who hopes to get into the film/gaming industry as a 3D artist. The amount of detail is insane.
When you play war thunder sim and arti drops
literally stalingrad is my favorite movie
Loveing to be russian :)
Latner32 LOL
Average Nazi O Hai Der.
Latner32
Greetings :')
Average Nazi Greeting to you to.
Death to Nazis. My grandad perished in Stalingrad. He was fighting for his country, family, kids, home.
Man that He-111 scene is just awesome .
Best showreel I've seen so far
The movie had so many inaccuracies and flaws that took away from a truly real tale from WWII.
ngaf
Still more believable than an average american war movie
+alvaricoke41 true, but have you seen many of the Russian based movies of WW2
GhostJager81 Im afraid no, only this and Fortress of War.
+alvaricoke41 Unfortunately a lot of them are over patriotic one sided movies of ridiculousness... watch German world war 2 movies, there very accurate and amazingly done.
side note how was Fortress?
nice, but
pz IVh did not have the Shurtzen on at Stalingrad
plus they would have been primarily PZIIIj and in german grey/ winter cammo
(not 3 tone splinter)
overall amazing!
+Steve Gusky Considering the fact they have T-55 tracks, well, I wouldn't expect much accuracy ;)
true that!
Amazing work, really. Love the color you gave to the movie, this dark and cloudy theme - awesome.
Impressionnant !
0:43 Do i hear Zack Hemsey's "The Way"? Insta like.
video games in 2020 hopefully
Video games have well passed this my lad and it ain't even 2020
Well I hope bethesda and EA ruined your dreams alright friend
@@parsaleilyabadi4219 what are you talking about, no videogame comes close to have this kind of physics simulations. It's 2020 and critics are praising the ropes simulations in the last of us 2.
Absolutely bloody amazing.
this vfx put some water to my eyes.
Il2 Battle of Stalingrad and Red Orchestra 2 in a nutshell.
Nah, Ro2 is more realistic then this trash movie
0:03 Literally me in War Thunder
This literally amazed me. Mouth open like "how the hell did they do this???" I like the before and after aspect to show people really how complex each scene is.
It's never been too late to watch this!!!
War, war never changes......
Phim trường & Hiệu ứng
Amazing work! I really have to wonder that latest computer games still look like 15 years before when this is possible...
A new inspirational work for me. This is mind blowing.
CGI rulez :)
Vasiliy Sachava это чмошная подача про дом павлова,бред сивой кобылы и инурезника
You think this CGI is good (and it is), wait until AI gets a hold of it.
😆😆
Really made me appreciate all the work that goes into creating this type of animation! 👏👏👏👏👏
Breathtaking vfx and animation hands down awesome !
It makes me laugh how the Germans thought they could just take Stalingrad and keep it...
Same
Funny how the Americans thought they could just burn Vietnam
This city is mine, and you’re not gettin’ it back!
LordTachanka - ehhhhh they got pretty close
This is depressing.
