At first I thought this just was another tired old worn out saw on dystopia but I hung in there and saw that it took significant turn for the better with the giant robot humping the skyscrapper! What a great blending of cynicism, metaphore, symbolism and hope you brought forth in this film. Keep up the good work!
Seeing a big killer mech being a Chad totally made my day! I'd go watch a 2 hour long movie like this especially if they throw in a bunch of parody references to past "robot uprising" blockbusters... mainly Terminator. 😅
Absolutely. It was a very solid pitch short. I hope they get it into some festivals or in front of some executives, and then maybe we can get some actual fun SF films with decent budgets to watch.

DUST and ALERT are 2 of the best channels on TH-cam. I'm constantly amazed by the quality of shorts that are regularly posted. The ONLY downside is the feeling of wanting more, once a short ends.

Honestly, I could see AI building these giant crane robots and whatnot. The concept and graphics of this video were immaculate and outstanding. 5/5 star's material here.

One of them owns his own company called, cosmic cut productions, so i know more about the topic than the average lay person. I noticed the timing of your editing, the sound on set as well as the post sounds and sound track, the angles and type of shot you used, ect... Its just so well done. I'm also an amateur writer, never published, but i understand character arcs and character development. Your writer is a beast. The director, gaffers, sound guys, and actors are all top notch. I am curious what you guys are shooting with? Scarlets reds? It just seems so good. As far as my favorite parts...i love the mech robot with the guns. The shadows, highlights and movement feel like they are in camera effects. No greater praise i can give a cg guy. I was building a practical mech suit, with real titanium and kevlar. It uses a "Armorman man" type system of gimbals instead of actuators, but I ran out of funds. I love building stuff, but i tend to have ideas outside of my means. Again, like i said, I'm not a film guy, but I've gleamed a few things from hanging out with my 2 numb nut friends for the last 9 years. Being an amateur writer, i also understand the limitation a production can have, everything costs money. So you try to write in a way that gives a compelling story, while keeping all that in mind. Have you ever seen, " the man from earth" ? It's a great example of incredible writing . It's ALL exposition, but done brilliantly. Like what you guys did here. I wrote something like that. Its a story of aliens that come to earth, kind of like the Borg, they offer humanity to join them and become them, with bio nano synthetic bodies that share all knowledge thru a quantum entanglement link. 2 friends, one get upgraded and visit the other who was not and have a deep conversation on what it is to be human. Little effects, lots of exposition, but the conversation between the two is like a Joe Rogan show on steroids. Unfortunately, my friends are more into what makes them money now and wont take the risk you guys did. This production was made with love. The actors, writers, directors and producer all working perfectly together to create an incredible short story on screen. If any of you guys are in the Orlando area, let me know and we'll have a beer. First drinks on me. Sorry it got a little long. Imma Gemini, we talk a lot.

Films like uprising lose filmmakers a bunch of money and at least 3 years of your life. So you have to be able to run off and earn back all the savings you spent / lost / watched drift away. hahaha. Speaking from experience here. Just keep reminding them how -- if your film has little vfx -- it has a much faster timeline to get finished.
This really needs to become a feature length movie... or at least a full episode of Love, Death, and Robots.
This is one of the best SciFi Shorts. It's cohesive, modern, great storyline. I loved every minute of it and hoped for the next scene.

This has to be one of the more original movies I've seen on youtube and a great take on the robot uprising.
