👩💻Looks and sounds delicious. I have used the 15 bean soup mix before and loved using them, but I soak them overnight first. My ex husband's Great Grandma, straight from the Alps of Northern Italy, closer to France, would use ketchup to help make her sauces and my oldest daughter this lady's Great Great Granddaughter has picked up that same habit in her cooking. So when you are low on tomato sauce, squirt in some ketchup instead. The thing is these 2 women met only once, Great Great Grandma was 96 years old and my daughter was 5 years old so there was no discussion of cooking, just interesting. Much love and peace. 🙋♀️🪔🥰🐞🧘♀️☯️😷🇺🇲
To those here in the comments pushing Jan to add written recipes: Jan is generously sharing her ingredients and method for cooking this and the other recipes as it is. C'mon!! Are we so challenged that we can't simply get a pen and paper together to write it down for ourselves as we watch? That way, we can add little notes on substitutions or other pertinent remarks Jan makes that wouldn't appear in a written recipe.
I just follow along, & when she says something, I jot it down, or I'll rewind. I don't have a problem with it. Some people have some nerve! I agree with you!!!

I bought a bag of the 15 beans because it looked pretty in a glass jar. I will get another bag to cook, cuz my jar has been here a while, lol. I love the flavor packets in the pinto beans. It's ham flavored. I still add ham & onions. Another of Jan's recipes to try. ❤

I got a hambone in freezer too. Gonna make pintos, cornbread & fried potatoes soon.😋 Having IBS, I cant handle too many beans or spices. I have to soak the beans over night to cut down on the stomach gas. 💨 lol

I make a 15 bean soup about every couple of weeks, especially in the colder months. I add beef broth, sugar cured ham and diced tomatoes. I don’t use the flavor packet either, just salt and pepper. No corn. It sure is good. I look mine and wash them only because my granny would probably come back and haunt me if I didn’t.

Ran across this video I love 15 beans. This recipe is interesting I'll have to try it. I make my beans with out the flavor packet instead I use smoke turkey and onion soup mix with cornbread. Yum yum
We are ham and bean lovers here at this house let me tell you! I have not tried the 15 bean soup but it looks very very good. It would be excellent with cornbread or some fresh dinner rolls yum yum, perfect wintertime food. Love ya, God bless you, Shirley.
I sure wish I’d had this recipe yesterday! I made dried large butter butter beans and and cured ham over cornbread! I’ve frozen half of it! Best pot liquor ever without an added drop of salt! I may use your recipe yet! Ty and stay warm!

Your 15 bean soup looks so good. When I made mine last week I added two cans of diced tomatoes and I used a little bit of cajon seasoning. I don’t like heat. I never thought of the creamed corn but next time I make it, I will add that. Thanks, Jan!
I would first like to say is, you are the sweetest TH-camr! I make this soup often but what I also do is put the beans in a quart jar and put my dehydrated vegetables (cherry tomato halves, onion, celery, and carrots. Also smoked paprika. This makes a great, easy crockpot meal! You can season as you like with salt and pepper. The smoked paprika makes it taste meaty whether you choose to add meat or not! Even my sister who can’t cook can make this. ♥️👍🙏🇺🇸🤓
That looks amazing! I use “Slap ya Mama” seasoning regularly. After a couple times of using too much and feeling like hellfire had ahold of my tongue and innards 🥵. I learned to use it sparingly. That soup looks so good. I will definitely try it.
Wow! This looks fantastic! On the menu! 😁. You are hilarious-‘burn your tonsils out!😆 Btw, when I get to the bottom of my bouillon, I add some hot tap water to the jar and shake vigorously. That way I get every last bit of goodness. Blessings

Yummy! I’m neurotic about picking thru dry beans. I find stones or debris many times, especially in pinto beans.

I have a tip. You can cook them in that roaster pan in the oven. But low heat. Like 250 degrees. It like using a crock pot. I do this alot.
