    So basically you now have a dump truck, a second lawn care truck, and a leaf collection truck? Cool

      @@lkreinmiller-author so during leaf cleanup season you now have to tear that all off and put your leaf box on the truck. Doesn’t make sense to me.

      @@affordablelawnservice5091 at the end of the install, he said it takes 3 minutes to remove it. There is no "tear it all off". It lifts off in one piece from the hitch adaptor. The hitch adaptor is one pin just like a ball hitch.

      @@affordablelawnservice5091 , I think REMOVE it and store it is a more accurate description. Just like put the leaf box on in the fall, take it off in the winter to install the snow plow and salt box and spread. Then take that off for spring limb cleanup. Makes more sense to me than buying 3-4 rigs that only do 1 thing each.

  • @affordablelawnservice5091

    That to me is a waste of a dump truck. I use my dump bed almost daily. I would have put that setup on a 2500 8’bed.

  • @jimmyssnowremoval1075

    Couple questions:
    Just wondering why you would take away the dump feature from the truck? I get doing it on a pick up truck.
    Was it worth it doing that over unhitching and hitching a trailer? Would seem having the dump body would be great if there’s a storm in the summer to have all the branch and debris from accounts to clean up and then in winter to put your salter. And not having dry storage to keep the attachment dry and not out in elements.
    won’t do that damage to the lifting arm of the dump? Would think with all the repetitive movement of the mowers driving up and down and the movement of the mowers while driving down the road.
    Lastly, i know your having issues with the other drive up truck, why not put it on your pick up trucks?

    The ramp racks look good. Mike Andes has advocated for them for some time. I would just never take away the dump bodies primary use and add one to it. Perfect for a pickup if you don’t take debris to make it more useful.

  • @groundcontrol2795
    @groundcontrol2795 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    Another item that has way more IMpracticalities than practicalities. You've basically just made the statement that a hydraulic dump body is worth less than a trailer for landscape maintenance/mowing. Just makes little to no sense. And no, it doesn't just "slide on and off"...the owner himself explained that. On a pickup or something, sure....fine. But a dump...No. Not being able to use that truck for trimming, other work, and hauling operations, renders it pretty much useless.

For the simple reason that if something worked to go wrong with the truck while I’m out working, I can simply unhitch the trailer lock it up have my truck towed and then get a rental to come back and get the trailer. If I had a couple of trucks and I could do this to one that would be great like I said being solo enclosed trailer works best
