I'm confident I can say you and Matt are not the American dream, but the dream of everyone around the world for the capability and abilities of using heavy machinery and fixing it in a professional way, may God bless you.
beautiful when the sun came out, beautiful over-the-shoulder shot of you expertly working the bulldozer. hilarious when you 🎶 shook hands with danger 🤝⚠️ 🎶 🤣🤣🤣 and for a minute there we had _Saucy_ Industries 🌭🕳️🤣🤣🤣🤭. Great job as usual. 👏👏👏👍
I’ve seen some pretty cool critter guards out in the woods, coned guards that help to flow debris away from the incoming side, and coned outflows that have a little wider opening near the bottom to allow leaves and small debris out with a fully hinged and removable top for winter high flow.
as Carl Spackler from _Caddyshack_ would say, whether it’s the exhaust pipe of a big bore diesel, the drainage line on the family’s back forty, or the 18th hole at Augusta, the enemy is always gophers. 🕳️🦫 #varmints
Man, I get jealous when I see nice dirt. The property I live on, we don't have dirt. We have dirty rocks. It adds a whole new level of difficulty to a project...
I really enjoyed the slight change, like they say, variety is the spice of life.I appreciated the footage of you operating the controls on the dozer, I've never seen it on Matt's or Mike's channel, & I've never operated one. The biggest machine I've ever run is some big yard forklifts, similar in size to the machine you attached the forks to. IMHO, the front end loader was perfect for back-filling the trench; it both pushes some dirt, & then places the rest right where you want it. Really enjoyed the video!
I like your style, because your like me, an educated and/or licensed professional with a realistic dirty hands on approach to problem solving with a positive attitude. So few!!!
It’s more fun working on equipment and moving it around, but manual labor is necessary… Glad to watch whatever you have going on. Aha! Watching new to us equipment is always a fun experience. It looks like she’s doing very well 😃
AWESOME JOB, Sam!!! I ALWAYS love to see big machinery at work, with guys like you paying attention to detail!!! You all feathered that dirt out very well, I think!!! Keep up with the videos and the GREAT WORK!!!
whenever we do a land rain to pull up errant steel we have a couple of smateur metal detector operstors to scan ovr the disturbed ground for any bgig bits that would damage tyres
On smaller projects I at least run a magnetic sweeper over the area a few times. An operation like Scrappy's could probably use a vehicle mounted magnet bar on one of their side-by-sides or something. Run it over the driveway occasionally to pick up any errant bolts or scraps of iron.
Thank you for sharing this ditching work explain to viewers what the digging requirements are. Man absolutely LOVE the quick hydraulic attachment bucket changer you have. I remember back in the 1970s having to drive the pins out of my Case 580-C to change buckets. I saw at Conexpo in mid 2000s that cas had made a hydraulic pin that moved sideways in housing to change buckets. Cases pin design retract and extension on there quick change very different than say like yours that is pretty standard in the excavator market. I was so glad Case engineer at least looked at making a quick change bucket system for the 580 series rubber backhoe 😊 if anybody has a story about using the Case quick change bucket system ( good or bad ) please comment to me, would love to hear from operator who had opportunity to use the Case design 😊 just asking
Sam , was nice seeing you guys put the equipment to use on this project looks awesome and I’m sure it will work great for you guys . As for content it seems that you are sharing your own experiences with us keeps it real good job!
At last we got to see that heavy equipment been put to use 👍 👍 3 years ago I did seminar thing here it was a 140 long trench for drawn ad telecoms and install a 10K water tank underground is was my biggest job yet
I tell you one thing. When you put that line in that drain line you should ask Matt how he did his. He would tell you you start putting them together on top of the ground and then thaw them in. That'd be the easiest way for you to do it since you're a one-man job with no help
Thank you for no drama and politics. As a citydiot I do not understand why the pipe is put there, is it for rain water or sewage? Great to see the machines working.
@paulfedorisin908 I am in Washington state. We have large glacial till. It's not dirt it's dirty rocks or actually more like dirty bolders. I dig fence post holes with an excavator because the hole will be 3 to 4 feet in diameter anyway 😜
Dirt perfect put opossum stoppers at the end of the pipe don't know if that would be a problem with yours. You guys do good work. Thanks for the video.
Back when I was backhoe guy and we set plastic pipe like that, after we pushed it together by hand, we'de take a long pry bar and stick it into the ground against the end of the pipe and give her a good push to send it home.
Sam, any thought to putting a grate at the opening to keep out a curious animal? I think it was DP once had to take apart quite a long section of pipe to get an animal out, and it cost a lot of effort and $ to do it... just saying!
Very nice work, but I would definitely second the suggestion to have some kind of guard put over the opening. Put in some anchors so it can be unscrewed, cleaned off as needed, and reinstalled.
Definitely not supposed to back the shackle off lol, if you are unable to get them loose you are definitely doing something wrong. Enjoyed your video thanks for sharing!
I think it would be cool to cut a ditch that size with a drag line. I know it would take forever and a day but just the experience of trying to do it like the old timers did years ago would be cool.
I'm confident I can say you and Matt are not the American dream, but the dream of everyone around the world for the capability and abilities of using heavy machinery and fixing it in a professional way, may God bless you.
Thanks for bringing us along. Your content is great because it's down to earth with no BS.
Absolutely agree. I hope he stays real and honest as possible
Always great to see your connection to the farm and family
Many people do not realize how much of their world was built with a TD 15. Brought back many memories watching this. Thanks and stay Scrappy!
One of the few things IH really got right!!
@@ScrappyIndustries Hey! Thems fight'n words!! Lol

A real pleasure watching you play. "The only difference between the men and the boys is the size of their toys."
As Dirt Perfect found out recently, you'll have to put a critter guard to stop them from getting into the pipe. Great job Sam!
I’ve seen some pretty cool critter guards out in the woods, coned guards that help to flow debris away from the incoming side, and coned outflows that have a little wider opening near the bottom to allow leaves and small debris out with a fully hinged and removable top for winter high flow.

Very professional job, Sam. Just like Matt, it's always fun ,no matter what ur doing !
Interesting! You seem like such an upbeat cheerful fellow. Keep it up!
Sam, the drone shot at the end gave a full perspective of the purpose of the drain pipe👍
Till the next video, see ya.🇺🇸
It’s good to see your channel continuing to grow. 👍
Man, I get jealous when I see nice dirt. The property I live on, we don't have dirt. We have dirty rocks. It adds a whole new level of difficulty to a project...
I was thinking the same thing all I've ever had to work with is black gumbo! Some sand over in CamRahn Bay Vietnam back in the '60s.
That Volvo is beautiful machine and that company makes some quality equipment.

Chris at Let's Dig 18 shows the controls often if you want to see more
Cabbed equipment is great in inclement weather but on a nice fall day you gotta love running that 966 . Makes you feel like the king of the world.🍻
That drainage line replacement looks like it’s coming together perfectly. The new setup should keep things flowing for years! 🌩
I like your style, because your like me, an educated and/or licensed professional with a realistic dirty hands on approach to problem solving with a positive attitude. So few!!!
Thanks for your efforts to make and upload these videos. I watch you and Matt and you both make a great team together. Keep making the videos, thanks!
It’s more fun working on equipment and moving it around, but manual labor is necessary…
Glad to watch whatever you have going on.

I imagine those hills are a lot steeper that they appear on camera and shed a hell of a lot of water. The joys of farming western PA.
Awesome video you shared today cool to see the heavy machines operate. 👍🚜
Nice video…always a treat watching your adventures, that drain looks great, maybe…a screen for those pesky varmints that need a place to hang out...
Loved going along on the dig. Great job.
Love all your vids bud, but I especially love seeing vids like this when you’re running your equipment! Thanks!! Perfect way to spend my Sunday!
Thanks Sam for the video.Always enjoy all.
Enjoyed the ride for sure, always fun to see some older iron in action, the TD15 is a sweet running dozer. Nice job, thanks for the video.
All your videos are great and interesting. I like old iron, happy you and matt resurrect the old iron.
Kobelco was my favorite brand of heavy equipment to run. 👍🏻
enjoyed watching this video Sam, thank you for sharing. Great video!
You have a great selection of equipment on the farm. The old 966 sound like she could use a little grease 😂
Nice! Impressed you used the term parge correctly!.. Concrete guy here.

I Like It Sam, keep it safe out there this week, brother
Did not know operators knew how to use a rake great work ethic enjoy all the videos
Sam , was nice seeing you guys put the equipment to use on this project looks awesome and I’m sure it will work great for you guys . As for content it seems that you are sharing your own experiences with us keeps it real good job!
Love it Sam and have good Night .
Nice job Sam, water should flow nicely now😎😎👍👍🍮🍮
I enjoyed watching you install the drain - quite a lot to it - thanks for sharing 👍👍
You guys did a nice job. It was fun to watch.
At last we got to see that heavy equipment been put to use 👍 👍
3 years ago I did seminar thing here it was a 140 long trench for drawn ad telecoms and install a 10K water tank underground is was my biggest job yet
Love watching no matter what you are doing. Great job.
Really liked this one Sam.
Good Job Sam love the video great seeing you on the macheans Thanks for posting
Great work and cheerfully done as always Sam!

Nice to have your choice of equipment to do the work.
Nice to have different video, great job as usual
We just love your show. Keep up the good work.

Nice afternoon watching you play and constructing new waterways Sam, stay safe fella, 👍
Great video, amazing work, beautiful property!
Looks like y'all were getting some work done, Good job you guys!
You definitely got your moneys' worth out of the old drain pipe. Awesome video, enjoyed it much!
Thank you for no drama and politics. As a citydiot I do not understand why the pipe is put there, is it for rain water or sewage? Great to see the machines working.
I have seen in a bind you can wrap a strap around the pipe on each side and use a come along to pull the joints together. Old man tricks....
Great vid Sam, enjoyed it.
good job. 👍👍👍
That was fun to watch! Great job guys!
Thanks for sharing Sam, really enjoyed watching!
Second time watching. Enjoying what I see. Are you sure you are related to those two me? They don't ever smile. ❤❤❤
Nice to have your own heavy equipment to do the job that needs to be done.
Thanks for the video and hello from New Zealand 🇳🇿.
Good job mate you don’t see many td 15 s around any more love watching your videos keep em coming
Watching you here in uk is very enjoyable you and your family are very nice people, long may you keep making uTube content.cheers
I Always put a couple self tapper screws in pipe junctions, I've had a couple of tile connections pop loose when I backfield before.
You should know I'm very jealous (my own damn fault). I do love your command of the machinery.
Merry Christmas ⛄🎁🎄🙏
Boy, your side of the state you can dig, but on my side of the state, we have to blast to get a hole in! I'm jealous!😂
@paulfedorisin908 I am in Washington state. We have large glacial till. It's not dirt it's dirty rocks or actually more like dirty bolders. I dig fence post holes with an excavator because the hole will be 3 to 4 feet in diameter anyway 😜
Enjoyed this video bro, looks like the crops are growing well. Safe travels. Ken.
Great video Scrappy, just what we like "Heavy Metal Moving" 👌👍.
Great change I always enjoy equipment working. Loved it.
Great job, beautiful farm
It looks like you are a trained professional 👍🏻😀😆
Dirt perfect put opossum stoppers at the end of the pipe don't know if that would be a problem with yours. You guys do good work. Thanks for the video.
Brilliant Video, Sam watching from Edinburgh Scotland UK 🇬🇧 👍
Sam, you need to look up Heavy Haulage Assets - MAD COW. This truck was; still is a legend in Australian trucking hauling cows back in the day.
Cool international pickup.
Nice job Sam 😊
Thanks Sam, looking forward to seeing you in the next one my friend! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🙋🏼✌🏻✌🏻💯💯💯

Great video Sam at least you have plenty of toys to play with 😂😅😊
great video, would be nice to see water flowing down it and out other end
Very disappointed you cut out my entire three minute cameo 😂
Get the hint matt, he's a big boy now 😂
Talk to big John not me lol
Back when I was backhoe guy and we set plastic pipe like that, after we pushed it together by hand, we'de take a long pry bar and stick it into the ground against the end of the pipe and give her a good push to send it home.
Fine Job Sam!!!
Nice job Sam!
Good job Sam and good luck
Doing an awesome job guys y’all should put stone behind the head wall. Dirt will eventually push the wall
Sam, any thought to putting a grate at the opening to keep out a curious animal? I think it was DP once had to take apart quite a long section of pipe to get an animal out, and it cost a lot of effort and $ to do it... just saying!
Great job Sam!
Very nice work, but I would definitely second the suggestion to have some kind of guard put over the opening. Put in some anchors so it can be unscrewed, cleaned off as needed, and reinstalled.
Betcha can’t wait till your kids are old enough to help 👍🏻🤩😀
Great job Sam 👍👌❤️❤️🔧🔧🔧😊
It's beautiful where you live!
Definitely not supposed to back the shackle off lol, if you are unable to get them loose you are definitely doing something wrong. Enjoyed your video thanks for sharing!

I’d do it with a cable hoe. Idk about a dragline lol
Doing a great 👍 job
