Fun fact, his dad is Tom Roth, who is heavily invested in "Affluent funding inc" he is also coincidentally involved with "Andrea Roth Real Estate Team" they manage Waterfront Properties & Club Communities. Hence why his son has the opportunity to take care of those large properties. Nevertheless he seems to know how to run a business.

Kid runs a tight operation. I will say, if you’re another 21 year old kid seeing this and you’re NOT doing 5 million dollars in revenue, that’s completely fine. This kid had a great opportunity with his dad and growing up wealthy, which is a lot of the reason he’s able to do this. He’s still a beast of an operator, but don’t let comparison steal your pride in your own business.

I’ve worked for all the big companies here in central Florida . I used to work for one won’t mention name, but short story so I won’t bore you guys is they would give you certain time at each property per day literally. If you had equipment go down employee slacking you still had to finish it at that time or face being fired. They also would not allow stops at any store for nothing. They wanted to squeeze every once of strength out of your body before you went home. Lasted four months and left I just can’t work under conditions that are setup for you to fail everyday you go to work. Employees turnover was high do to many rules. You will be in business, but once you hit the top that’s it only way to go is down seen many companies cap out, and closed down shops to downsize. Another big point they contracted people from Mexico or else they wouldn’t have enough workers to do any job right. Peace out keep grinding.

You’d be surprised how many people stop at gas stations for multiple trips that equal more than 30 min to an hour. Also..giving them a card to use at the pump is also scary. They get gas and just happen to use a gas can to fill their tank and so forth. It’s hard to keep up with without a system. Also..cameras in the truck help him and possibly help the employee. Driving while on their phone and getting in an accident can make the business go away with the right (wrong) thing happening.

If you think about it, his system makes a lot of sense. A lot of big companies who provide their own fuel also have a tracking system which is actually pretty neat to see how they work. Honestly unless you own a business you dont understand the struggle. The second you let things slide next thing you know they are spending 2-3 hours stopping at gas stations. tracking fuel is a must. not only for bottom line for tax reasons too. Now i would not tell employees if they forgot their lunch to starve. but if it turned into a daily thing then you need to address it.

He definitely paid attention to his parents and he obviously is doing it good. A little tight, but he can run his business his way. If you have a crew at a gas station for an hour and a half, you need a new crew. Hes still impressive for a 21 year old

I don't know how close your bids for jobs are to your competitors but if you gave your crews some leniency and estimated 15 bags/hr for one guy instead of 20, you might not work them to death come busy season. Your turnover might improve

Same thing I said watching this, reminds me of my old boss. Once made us stay extra 2 hours for going to gas station in his truck. He is still stuck at the same level of people because everyone comes and goes. Only a few people that are ok with being in same place in life for years are there still . I was making 125 a day in vero beach Florida working with him on side of 95 interstate cutting grass. Bout a hour or two from where guy in this video is Jupiter Florida. I’m now pressure washing for myself , making 200 to 300 a day , most I’ve made is 450 with 6 months of doing my own thing. Not one of them days has been has hard or has much bs as I was working for that 125

Best tools for the job sets you apart from the rest. (non college here either, you can't learn this stuff)

Dying from non Hodgkin Pneumonia! My Aunt is left w/o a husband all in a effort in controlling tree growth along our River ( The Rio Grande) plz reconsider its use. Someone says in Europe it is mixed w/ different chemical formula to prevent deaths! Be educated w / this snd how it affects your crews! Like your operation!

Kids great but bulk on mulch in Florida? I'm in pinellas and my local dealers give me 15 yards for $650 delivered where as 15 yards in bags would be around 2k from home depot not including delivery and machine run time.
