"You got a delivery?", "no mate, just down here for a bit of sightseeing!!" ;-)
I'd of gone nahh mate for a collection what does it look like haha
Has the UK forgotten they are not making Austin 7's anymore? Those roads are ridiculously narrow.
everything done to minimum required, same problem where I live. Some say it keeps cost dow for more profit, but, like with drains etc, when future expansion, more people etc then more expensive to fix.
Any available plot of land whether its brown or green they willingly build on but never, never add to the infrastructure & then everything else gets blocked & congested including adding shops, schools or medical centres. All done on the cheap & the council get their council tax money but never re-invest it & then complain about poverty at council meetings. They are all corrupt & sleazy.
IVECO 🤣 say no more
Don’t know why the miserable telehandler driver is annoyed it’s you Luke who should be annoyed but your calm and collective.
Sadly these new developments don’t have any parking. Everyone is on top of each other parking on the road. Another British masterpiece…would love to meet the developer and ask him/her what exactly is in their brain …
@globalmomad450 - I agree - it's just pure profit / their reasoning being how many people can they squeeze into a small as possible plot. On a new development near our village it all kicked off about a year ago and was in the local papers - all the fighting was down to parking issues due to lack of driveways.
Half-finished sites always cause problems. Needs clever people booking deliveries once too many houses are handed over.
Great driving Luke 👍
Dont know how you keep so calm with those rules & regs & traffic issues. I was a fully qualified C+E military driver. License then lapsed. 10 years later i reactivated it (the C+E) via a video on Medicals that you suggested. Did my CPC which wasn't 'thing' last time I drove & got my digi Tacho Card.
I have come to the conclusion that driving is toooo high risk now with all the potential 'gotchas' that a driver faces including driving down those narrow roads. Low bridges. Crappy route planning. Complete nightmare. High risk of a coronary from stress & not a high reward financially certainly not thru the Agencies i have experienced in my neck of the woods.
Hi Luck next time you're in the supermarket get yourself a dozen or so of the cheap carrier bags and put them over your boots ideal if you don't want a load of unwanted mud on your boots.
MOST of the the security are used to Cows walking down the street and into shops back home .not arctics .
Luke thànkyou for putting up video always look forward to seeing them🚚
Overbuilding that’s problem, don’t make it safe and wide enough to get deliveries on sites, ridiculous the building sites in the uk are. Overpopulated and cramp UK government needs to wake and smell the coffee
That Red Row estate oh my god what a horrid dump to live on. The people are all town or city people, them sort that say "my car is bigger than your" type, they jog in the mornings, early morning walk coffee in one hand and a phone in the other they don't have a clue on how to drive........ City people thick as...............!!!!!!!!! Great vlog and great driving mate
It always amazes me when site managers book deliveries on artics (presumably because delivery is cheaper than 2 rigids), then complain when an artic turns up at a site that is too small for artics 🤷♂️🤷♂️
When I was on general haulage back in the 80s that was a favourite saying "it's not ment for artics" Imao
Great video I understand your pain with sites I do delivers for celcon / h and h . Most off the times ment to be crain jobs .they neather tell the customer it's coming on a flat .celcon book which vehicle mostly. Depending on wot blocks the site needs well great driveing . The forklift drivers get grumpy course there kept so busy
Another great vlog Luke keep up the good work pal 👍🏻👍🏻
A good site agent will know all that is being delivered and have worked out his site to suite. They want the lorries in and and turned round as quick as possible as it might impede work already being done. You save time and more importantly money and your working staff appreciate it because they are on bonus and that keeps them happy. The customers see`s a busy site and is pleased because his build is on time. But like i say the agent has to know what he is doing.
Luke , I'm sure , having delivered to many building sites , that these new estates look very pretty on a ' view from above ' map , with little curvy roads ,like octopus tentacles , BUT these ' alleged intelligent 'people who design them , don't seem to take into account how the building materials are going to get on site because they DO NOT do the delivering , the roads are far too narrow and bendy , imagine being a bin truck driver who has to negotiate this nightmare every week , hats off to those guys eh ?
Those telehandlers , to me , are the ultimate toy , they save so much time and are just awesome .
Seems to me you need tons of patience to be a lorry driver well done to all of you 😊
Hi luke enjoyed the video keep trucking and stay safe mate
Did building sites whilst delivering Kitchens. Had a fair few muddy wet slopes to get out when you're empty . Don't miss it
Nice one Luke, thanks 👍👍
I got caught up in an over ordered delivery in London. I had to drive out with the load and park up. Next day the same thing happened and the following day. We must've earned more money on demurrage over those 3 days than the transport.
Yay Luke C is back. Hope your good.
Very weird watching you in the yard at Parsonage Road since I used to work on that site from 1989 till 2001 at a company latterly called Automotive Coatings Ltd. It was in the units now occupied by Howard Tenens Logistics, who were involved in our transport. Very different from then...🙂🙂
great see you got vid out on channel keep up the great vid thanks for the share on channel thanks lee
i followed a UPS driver once when i arrived in glasgow i though simple ill follow him , and he went home to his house and i was rite behind him he got out at home and said i live here mate im skiving ,
Building sites need blocks. What did they expect you to roll up in a flat bed Transit.
You need elastic netting to go on upright of steps .. pull netting .. insert boots .. keeping boots in cab not on road elsewhere
Hi Luke, that first tip in Bristol looked snug for an 8 wheeler to get in! The M4 to M32 is a pain if you aren't sure where you need to go yet everyone else does😳 if I get sent to the site I was loading out of again then I will go past Southmead hospital to avoid a tight left turn😉 have a good week.
Oh and I now drive for Fryer hire and Construction who were opposite you and the other trucking vloggers at Truckfest South West this year😊 hopefully I will be there with them next year
Yeah building sites can be fun i did deliver to a fair few when i drove with Schenker, and even when you been there before the site by it's very nature change rapidly, and the gate you used last time might be gone.
These new build estates are a joke. Massive driveways and yet cars all over the place.
I don't miss building sites whatsoever. Had my share of them whilst driving a Brick carrier for Wincanton...
So what🥱🥱
@@prof2bobajob.klonded5You tit. The name you use tells me everything about you, You Mong 😂
Top vlog Luke keep up the great work 👍👍
Thanks Luke great video take care.
Have been watching a few of the drivers I watch driving about the country, and I'm sure the motorways are getting more manic. Anyway, you didn't need the tipper lorry to find the building site, just need to follow the brown roads🤣🤣. Whilst your waiting to unload, you're saying it looks like the school run. I bet a lot of people have cheered that they'll have to wait, the problems they always cause when stopping at schools to drop kids off, and I'm one of them🤣. Love it. Personally, its the site's fault. They should have facted this into when discussing it in the early stages of the building work. Obviously, I don't know, but is that road a rat-run I wonder? The cars are using it instead of going round. Anyway, what is the site bloke saying that they didn't expect an artic, its carrying a whole lot of tons of brick, what do they expect for it to be brought in
Another great video.
Hi Luke the red row site in Bristol used too be frenchay hospital
We always get sites that are rigid only.
Tell the artic driver it is a none artic site as you pull up - brilliant. It wasn't a rigid site either.
You do seem to be late setting off a lot Luke 😂
Luke C on an FLT 😂
Nice one Luke and did you get your wipers fixed 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂❤
When you double-stacked, why didn’t you move the first load to the back and the second load to the front?
Hey Luke, why are you apologising to car drivers?? It wasn’t your fault you were sent there. I bet car drivers don’t apologise to you when pulling out on you or cutting in front. It was pay back time as far as I’m concerned. And I’ve been in that same position, and the car drivers didn’t worry me one jot ! Great vid as usual !
Love your videos any chance of any tipper jobs
When the title said angry forklift driver i had to make sure it wasn’t my dad 😂😂😂
"let crack on"...
How's the SQ7 Luke? Hopefully get to see it in a vlog soon!
Modern day UK housing (e)states are far too small.
You forgot to show wipers .😂
😎👍
👍👍👍 🚛
Planner wants sacking sending an artic down into the building site , it should have been a much shorter vehicle with a hiab possibly...ps nice bit of driving threading it through the new housing estate...that is a issue in logistics a planner who hasn't got a clue of the vehicles needed to get in and out and who doesn't understand distance or road systems. 🤦♂️
You went thought oxted where I live
The sites not suitable for artics but we'll order an artic load to be delivered and make it somebody elses problem. Morons!
👀👁👁👀
Great video as always, Do you know what’s happened to Trucker Jay Luke ?
No views - ‘cept meeeeee!
Good video Luke
OMG the white car would of been better reversing in to passing point 👉
They do everything but plan for delivery’s , the one I hated was we’ve had bigger than you in here 🤬🤬🤬
WHAT 3 QUARES🤫
