The bonnet latch isn't a design flaw. Pretty much all German cars under the BMW and VW group will have it so the door needs to be open before you can open the bonnet. It's so you can't accidentally do it, seems pretty obvious to do it this way because if you are opening the bonnet you are going to get out of the car...

The hood latch is blocked most likely on purpose so you dont accidentally unlatch the hood of the car while driving, Dougie. It expects you to get out of the car first to do that, hence the door bit.

The reason you can turn on the seat heating and ventilation simultaneously is that it helps speed up the process of warming up the seat. As warmth is put out, the seat ventilation helps move the warm air around the seat, thus warming it up faster. Mercedes-Benz has been doing that ever since they introduced the option to get ventilated seats.

You can't open the hood in a golf without opening the door either. It's a security feature to prevent thieves from being able to open the bonnet by just breaking the window glass (thereby preventing them from being able to disable the alarm/fiddle with the engine).
Umm, if you break the window couldn't you just open the door from the inside? Also, what's in the engine compartment that's easy to steal? Not like you can just take the engine out.
@3:40; I know most cars probably are more powerful with their electrical systems nowadays, but when I got my first car with power windows (a 1995 Mercury Tracer), i rolled all four windows down at once then back up again...and blew the fuse. Therefore, I've never rolled down more than two windows at once since.
Also hellcat that was like 60k new is still around 40k in like 3 years lost less than 7k per year and dodge demon went up in value basically the same price to own as a Toyota camry with every option while this car lost in 2 and half years 140k in value more than 50k a year you can just get some nice seats and interior for like 20k

actually, the way the wheels and hubs are designed, the bolts just keep the wheels in contact with the hubs, the surface area of the wheel and hub take most of the pressure. Now in corners, that's lateral force which WILL put stress directly on the bolts..... But no worries, the bolts and nuts are of sufficient grade to handle the stresses. Remember: you have the cushioning effect of the tires (flexibility). I've linked to a chart showing the strength of various grade bolts. A grade 2 (cheapest and most common) as a tensile strength of 74000 psi....that's 25 times the weight of the car...so if you hung the car on a chain, and held that chain with ONE grade 2 bolt. Volkswagen vehicles also have the hood release blocked by the door. Supposedly, so you don't accidentally open the hood while driving. With Bentley being owned by the VW group, possibly why this has the same feature?
I knew a guy who owned an oldtimer Bentley and routinely took it to a dealer to have it serviced between occasional meeting appearances...what you get for buying a Bentley...ANY Bentley, is far more than just a car. You get service so beyond car repair that most 5 star hotels could learn from them. The old man brought the Bentley boss of Europe over for his 60th Birthday...what I mean is you meet different people through owning a Bentley than by owning...a Ford...probably...and you are treated differently. See it as an asset, accessory AND an investment. Oh and a brilliant car.

I drove one of our spare trucks with a built up Detroit series 60 in a 1994 Freightliner and managed to twist the driveshaft in half twig to start off from a steep hill. The tow truck driver remarked that it was the first time he'd ever seen one twisted in half, usually they fail at the CV joint.
You got a point there, but one can only imagine the stress on the bolts @ 336 km/h going over bumps...
actually, the way the wheels and hubs are designed, the bolts just keep the wheels in contact with the hubs, the surface area of the wheel and hub take most of the pressure. Now in corners, that's lateral force which WILL put stress directly on the bolts.....
But no worries, the bolts and nuts are of sufficient grade to handle the stresses. Remember: you have the cushioning effect of the tires (flexibility). I've linked to a chart showing the strength of various grade bolts. A grade 2 (cheapest and most common) as a tensile strength of 74000 psi....that's 25 times the weight of the car...so if you hung the car on a chain, and held that chain with ONE grade 2 bolt. It would be fine. Each wheel has 6 and if you looked into it, they're probably grade 5.

Volkswagen vehicles also have the hood release blocked by the door. Supposedly, so you don't accidentally open the hood while driving. With Bentley being owned by the VW group, possibly why this has the same feature?

I knew a guy who owned an oldtimer Bentley and routinely took it to a dealer to have it serviced between occasional meeting appearances...what you get for buying a Bentley...ANY Bentley, is far more than just a car. You get service so beyond car repair that most 5 star hotels could learn from them. The old man brought the Bentley boss of Europe over for his 60th Birthday...what I mean is you meet different people through owning a Bentley than by owning...a Ford...probably...and you are treated differently. See it as an asset, accessory AND an investment. Oh and a brilliant car.

Doug, in most cars (from my experience) all you have to do to lower all the windows is to hold down either the lock or unlock button (depending on model)
